Great love story. Executive assistant falls in love with her boss and is ready to turn in her two week notice because he hasn't noticed that she loves him. He had a headache and looked miserable the day that she went to turn in her notice, so she didn't give it to him on that day and was planning to give it to him on Monday.
Went for drinks with her co-worker and friend after work on that same Friday and her boss walked into the bar.
The rest was a love story and great.

This is an office romance -a favorite genre- it’s a classic with some touches to modernize it. The plot is different and the characters were special each in their own way, but I especially loved the kid’s character, she was so funny and believable. I really enjoy Debbie Macomber’s clean books, like this one, because there is absolutely nothing sexual about the kisses or any other romantic gesture in the books.

I really enjoyed this one. Although the character of Bethany was not as strong as other Macomber female characters, I do believe she captures realistic characteristics! I really loved this love story, too. Angie’s character was a riot.

Not my favorite Debbie Macomber storyline (secretary in love with her boss), but entertaining nonetheless. The narrator was good, handling adult male, adult female, and children's voices with ease.

Bethany has been in love with her boss for years. He doesn't seem to feel the same way. When his daughter comes to live with him, he seems to want her for a sitter. After overhearing a conversation, she turns in her two weeks' notice.

This is my second book by this author. I like her writing style. The stories are captivating and don't drag on for pages on end.

This is very much a formula romance; plot is completely unimaginative.

This story felt very rushed to me. Everything just happened so quickly and I feel like a lot was missing from the story. It could have been a lot better.

It’s never a good idea to fall in love with your boss, especially one as oblivious as Joshua. Good story!

Almost an angel
Bethany Stone works for Joshua Norris and is furious with him and how he treats her. He is worried about her daughter..
He has custody of Angie but he has no idea how to help her dress so he gives Bethany a raise and she's more than happy to help with the girl. They return to the house where she is shown the rooms and the lake where she falls in-it's February.
Besides laced coffeee she is given wine at dinner after a hot shower and his robe til her clothes are dried.
Liked hearing about things in New Orleans.
Her friends think she's being used to watch his duaghter on weekeneds when he's busy with work things but she tries to tell them that is not the case..
I received this book from National Library Service for my BARD (Braille Audio Reading Device).

This one wasn't bad. But what is it with these bosses that are just jerks until suddenly, one day, they aren't? It's silly. But I still liked it.

Very cute, of course, as it's a DM romance. Enjoyed the characters!
