Be it known unto all nations, kindreds, tongues, and people, unto whom this work shall That . . . it is marvelous in our eyes. Nevertheless, the voice of the Lord commanded us that we should bear record of it; wherefore, to be obedient unto the commandments of God, we bear testimony of these things (“Testimony of the Three Witnesses,” Book of Mormon). In every dispensation, the Lord has relied on the testimonies of witnesses to convey the divinity of gospel truths. Such testimonies pave the way for others to gain their own sure foundation in all facets of the gospel, including the Lord’s revelatory books of scripture. In conjunction with the 200th anniversary of the angel Moroni’s first visit to the young Joseph Smith, Be It Witnesses of the Book of Mormon presents the personal experiences of Latter-day Saints whose testimonies serve as a beacon for today’s seekers of truth. From conversion stories to poignant experiences to personal witnesses, discover the multitude of ways the Spirit can testify to your mind and your heart of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon.
This is a collection of personal testimonies and experiences with the Book of Mormon that are uplifting and helpful. I also enjoyed the art that are expressions of the Savior and His teachings in the Book of Mormon. Here are some of my favorite quotes:
"'I will humbly and happily testify that God is indeed at the center of Joseph Smith's prophetic story and that God inspired him to bring forth the Book of Mormon as an offering of light and peace for a world overcome with darkness and doubt' (p. 4)."
"'The Book of Mormon is our handbook of instructions as we travel the pathway from bad to good to better and strive to have our hearts changed' (David A. Bednar, p. 10)."
"'People are making choices between two paths--the path to happiness and the path to misery--and we read of the consequences that came to them according to the choices they made' (p. 14)."
"'I feel like spiritual direction comes in the daily offering of simply showing up to stay immersed' (p. 18)."
"'One of the great gifts of the Book of Mormon is its ability to foster a greater connection to the Savior' (p. 20)."
"'Angels speak by the power of the Holy Ghost; wherefore, they speak the words of Christ. Wherefore, I said unto you, feast upon the words of Christ; for behold, the words of Christ will tell you all things what ye should do' (2 Nephi 32:3, p. 20)."
"'Most humans reject ideas that force them to reconsider what they have believed their entire lives' (p. 22)."
"'The prophets who brought us this book are from God' (p. 24)."
"'By mentioning Isabel's name and warning of her harlotry, Alma not only demonstrates his familiarity with all citizens in his fold, but he also issues an admonition to us all to watch for any corruption in our religious worship: justification of immorality, adopting worldly principles, and believing teachings that lead to spiritual death' (p. 30)."
"'I have come to know for myself, independent of any other human being, that the Book of Mormon is true and that the teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith are true... He didn't say we would get closer to God by simply reading the book; we also have to abide by its precepts. We must act on what we learn from its pages' (p. 31)."
"'We must study its pages, seeking the Spirit of the Lord' (p. 32)."
"'One truth I'm grateful for is that Jesus Christ died for my sins--His victory in the garden and on the cross brings me great peace. The atoning efficacy of the Savior's crucifixion is abundantly taught in the Book of Mormon' (p. 37)."
"'And my Father sent me that I might be lifted up upon the cross; and after that I had been lifted up upon the cross, that I might draw all men unto me' (3 Nephi 27:14, p. 40)."
"'Throughout the Book of Mormon, prophets testified of the Savior's love, mercy, and strength by speaking metaphorically of His arms' (p. 57)."
"'If ye will come unto me ye shall have eternal life. Behold, mind arm of mercy is extended towards you, and whosoever will come, him will I receive; and blessed are those who come unto me' (3 Nephi 9:14, p. 60)."
"'But we had hope because the Lord had sent prophets' (p. 68)."

"'It was the Book of Mormon that grounded Brian in the gospel. It was teachings from the Book of Mormon that brought joy to him and the Cambodian refugees' (p. 88)."
"'There is not a genius alive who could write a book of such complexity as the Book of Mormon in eighty-three days, nor could a scholarly group or a gifted university committee. It is impossible' (p. 94)."
"'Behold, I am the light and the life of the world; and I have drunk out of that bitter cup which the Father hath given me, and have glorified the Father in taking upon me the sins of the world, in the which I have suffered the will of the Father in all things form the beginning' (3 Nephi 11:11, p. 106)."
This is the book my kids received from me for christmas 2023. My son left his book on accident, i just finished reading it myself before he picks it up on Sunday. Loved all the stories and testimonies of the Book of Mormon. It has me excited to start my study of the book once again for 2024. I cant believe it is already 2024.
Loved it! It contains several different short stories from a lot of authors I recognized. They are sharing their testimonies of The Book of Mormon. I listened to it, so now I want to look through a print copy so I can see all the art.
I absolutely loved the heartfelt and Spirit filled testimonies from each contributor to this book. Reading their accounts has deepened my testimony of the Book of Mormon.
