[Siren Classic Erotic Alternative Paranormal Consensual BDSM Romance, M/M, vampires, werewolves, spanking, HEA] Jayden Channing is a twenty-two-year-old college student. He's also a virgin. After almost a full year of trying to sneak into the pack's club, Silver Bullet, his older brother and Alpha gives in. Finally able to drink and dance, Jayden embarks on an exciting new world. Everything changes that first night though. He senses his mate, an ancient vampire who is heavily into BDSM. Andrew Porter has been alive for almost two hundred years. He's had his fill of wild nights. While at the club, Silver Bullet, he gets into an intense scene, completely focused on the other man. It's nothing unusual for him, just another normal night. During the scene, he's interrupted by a young shifter and yells at the young man. Weeks later, hungry and weak, Andrew's friends convince him that he's met his True Match. Now, he needs to find the man and drink before it's too late. ** A Siren Erotic Romance
Olivia Black fell in love with romance novels years ago and read everything from alternative to ménage, and everything in between. Thousands of books later, Olivia is still an avid reader on the lookout for a good book.
Olivia started writing ménage romance with Siren Publishing under the name Alicia White, then later decided to branch out and with the support of the publisher, started writing ManLove under Olivia Black. Silver Bullet was the first ManLove series and Olivia is looking forward to many others in the future.

Teehee. It’s BDSM 101. With textbook excerpts. Oddly enough that’s a fresh enough approach to this tired topic in romance.
I also appreciate the central conflict here. Even if Andrew is a jerk and I can’t imagine how anyone would like to read about him.
It’s odd. While the first volume mirrored Amber Kell’s Attracting Anthony in some ways, this one shows remarkable parallels to Wooing Master Jones by the same author. Not as in a copy, but maybe a clear inspiration for aspects of the plot.
I’m not too happy with the conclusion though. That relationship… I’m not convinced it is working out to the best for Jayden. A bit of brainwashing, maybe?
Although perhaps the author simply favours big/small, adult/dependent type uneven couples. Too early yet to say.
Am I going to be a glutton for punishment? It appears so.
Ok so this has more...meat.. then first book. Overcoming issue, check; MILD bdsm, check. This series is being set fast paced. Meet, Mate, fall in love, be happy.......in about 2 weeks or less.
But I also felt that these two are unmatched. We first learn of Andrew being heavily into the bdsm scene. Sweet innocent Jayden definitely made it clear that whipping is not his thing, just from watching. Clearly he seems to be on the much more milder side of submissive. Perhaps the peeks given throughout following books into these two will strengthen this connection that I (personally) felt was lacking a 'true match'
Not a BAD book but not one of the better ones. The situation that developed felt forced and unnecessary except for without it there would have been NO plot so... The writer just didn't do much with the story. It was a feel good one but it just fell flat:(
It's a good follow up to the Alpha's Mate but unlike the first one it seemed much shorter and with less detail. Maybe it was just my impression but there you have it. I liked the conflict where Jayden ran and it's probably the reason for that extra half of a star but the resolution could have used some more work. I definitely wanted to know more about Andrew and their non-sexual interactions after they actually connect for the first time.
The BDSM did not work for me, the ancient vampire into heavy whipping and the younger "True Mate" clearly not interested. While I understand there are plenty of paranormal (e.g. do not follow human norms) things going on here, the vibe I got certainly broached any trust I had in the Dominant one of the pair.
this book was a big improvement for me. The first book was all set up and this book really focused on the characters and their mating. I liked how the mating was set up and the obstacles that the couple weren't through were familiar but not overdone
I liked how the author explained the BDSM lifestyle to the reader and the main character, but thought the first time experience with it was too quick for Jayden. Would have liked more build up.
more a 2.75 star for me, i am not into bdsm in any way - so it was kind of meh when I found out about the plot. i still read it and i was meh throughout it.
I didn't not like it, their relationship wasn't nice, the vampire, was like: I need you to be alive, otherwise I'll die. I'll have him! He doesn't have a choice. And it felt like this to me. Without him I'll starve to death. Ugh... Where, were Jayden principles from the start of the book? Because I had the same lectures on what BDSM were, i ain't like Jayden. Being totally submissive, to his, "Big Bad Vampire". haha, in so little time. It felt cringe for me, (my experience). When he asked his brother to tie him up, for his mate, "make love to him". I couldn't take it, no more. DNF. 68%.
I enjoyed Big, Bad Vampire by Olivia Black. In the second installment of the Silver Bullet series we meet young Jayden. And when I say young, I mean not only young but inexperienced and a bit naïve. For Jayden the skies the limit and he is finally allowed to let his hair down, so to speak. So who would expect him to find his mate his first night out with the “big boys?” I think Ms. Black did a wonderful job with Jayden’s character. He finds his mate and tries to understand what Andrew needs and what he finds scares him to death. I could empathize with Jayden and understood his fears. Ms. Black laid it out in such a way that I never once thought Jayden was being unreasonable or overly dramatic. I have read plenty of books to know that is not an easy balance. And then she gave us Andrew. Andrew is ancient. At first I thought it was an odd pairing, but as this story unfolded, I could see why they would fit. Andrew’s needs were intense and once Jayden began to understand the bdsm dynamic you could see where his lack of knowledge blended well with Andrew’s desires. Other than gleaning too much information from unreliable sources, Jayden’s innocence was a good foil for Andrew. I loved how Ms. Black managed to move past Jayden’s fears and make Andrew a bit more likeable. He was so stuck in his ways and used to not having to bend, that it was nice to see his willingness to put Jayden’s needs above his own. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and look forward to seeing more patrons of the Silver Bullet find their happily ever after.
Recomendable.
I have to say I like how easy I could listen to this in audiobook and smile all the way through the book. Why? Because, first of all, it was cute for my point of view; secondly I like the fact that explain a little terminology that most people don't know when it comes to BDSM. I have to say it was very fast, even for an audiobook but I can't say I didn't enjoy it. Jayden it's so adorable and his mate it's... hmmm... how can I describe him? hahaha I recomend this if you are not picky, like books that are really easy to follow and fast romance.
The second book in the Silver bullet series is about Jayden and Andrew. It's your typical love story... some angst, a little drama and a happy ending. I could have used a little more drama but for a short story it was fine.
the narrator really brought this book to life I enjoyed the series and I've read the book I wanted to hear how the audio would sound it was a nice two hour listen to finish out my workday
