Hostile Devil is the continuation of Indie and Gio's intense and dangerous romance. Ms. Archer keeps us sitting on the edge of our seats with the twists, turns, danger and suspense that seem to follow the two of them. Asked to be Indie's protector, Gio becomes so much more and in fact he has become possessed with her and has claimed her for himself. Hostile Devil continues where Hostile Secret left us with our hearts beating faster and holding our breaths. This book is addictive, suspense-filled, action-packed as well and full of angst and love. Add in the fact that Gio's family has different ideas about Indie and how she should be living adds just that much more tension to their story.
Gio and Indie seem to have danger follow them wherever they go. No matter the sacrifices that Gio made the reason was to keep Indie and Leo, his son, safe. He would move heaven and earth to do so. Agreements were made with the devil, secrets were kept and it wasn't until his brothers decided that Indie needed to be with them did Gio showed exactly what he is made of. This cold-hearted man who was known to be a killer and would never love showed them all who he really was and that he did have a heart.
This duet had my heart skipping a few beats, holding my breath and loving the connection that Indie and Gio had. I would highly recommend picking up this duet as well as the rest of the Souza Cartel books.

Wow! After the cliffhanger from book 1 I was excited to read the conclusion to Gio and India’s story. Book 2 really delivers! The action and suspense was nonstop from start to finish, and there was a jaw dropping moment I definitely didn’t see coming, this book will keep you on the edge of your seat!! The heat and spice really picked up in this book. Gio has already claimed his woman, and now he’s not going to let anyone take her from him. I loved his fierce protectiveness and his ott jealousy he had when it came to India. He would literally burn the world down for her. It was so hot to read. India was even more fierce and bada** in this book. She’s definitely a force to be reckoned with and will fight right along side Gio to protect him and their family they have.
I loved seeing Gio go from the cold hearted k!ller and a notorious sicario one moment, to a caring and protective man who would do anything for the woman he loved and the little boy he took in as his own.
This was an epic conclusion to Gio and India’s story and I loved every second of it. I can’t wait to see what happens next with Matheus!

This is explosive, in many ways. India and Gio might be eyebrow-deep in trouble, but they’re also smart. Resourceful. Incredibly cunning. And ruthless when necessary. I’m not just talking about Gio, either. India proves to be quite possibly the most formidable Souza woman yet. She doesn’t shy away from danger, she’s willing to do whatever it takes to save those she loves, and she’ll go toe to toe with anyone. Even the man who helped raise her and the brothers who could end her in a heartbeat.
We do still have questions. But there are so many answers and secrets revealed because Gio now knows what his heart needs and wants. And his brothers are nothing if not exactly who he and India need them to be when everything is on the line. Since Gio has completely fallen for India and has proven who he really is at his core, we need to know Matheus’s story. I can’t wait because I think the educated brother just might be the most dangerous of them all.

Giovanni Souza has fallen for his Indie, the young girl he's been assigned to protect. One of his twin brother's deceased best Reno's sister. He's kept her to himself, as agreed until Dre hid twin wants her back and he refuses, he even sends a tape showing they're now together. Wow man does the sparks fly. He's laid claim to Indie and there's no way he's letting her go, back to his brother. Indie is feisty, strongly independent and she's been raised around the cartel, the Souza boys and her brother so she feels like she can take of herself just fine. I love how the two of them have bonded while he's kept her a prisoner, kept her safe on his island. Giovanne is having trouble with his feeling, he's always had a heart of stone, no feelings for anyone except family, and he'll fight them to keep her safe and by his side. I definitely have an obsession with the Souza men , & Giovanni is no exemption.
The power of this story blew me away , each word resonated throughout my body . My emotions were on heigh alert with every page turn .
Gio & India are complete opposites , but they truly are made for each other . He doesn’t treat her like an innocent, or with kid gloves , in his own way he treats her as equal , as a woman & not as a child .
India isn’t afraid of Gio , she stands up to him , & doesn’t pander to him . She sees the man he truly is , & not the monster others see him as .
Together they are darkness & light . They will fight to protect each other , & their family , & damn do they have to fight hard .
This is an outstanding must read

The intensity of this series just keeps ramping up with every book.
In book 2, which left us with a cliffhanger ending. Gio and India had just been to India's prom. They were ambushed on the way home.
Book 3 ramps up even further. I have come to crave the dark and naughty but intense and dangerousness from Autumn Archer. She has written these books so well. That I can't look away.
The conclusion to Gio and India's story was actually not at all fluffy clouds and rainbows, but it's as close as they could get to a HEA in their ever revolving, dangerous lives.
I absolutely enjoyed every second of reading it. I'm sure we will see them again in the next one. Hostile Rival, Matheus Souza's book. 😁

It isn't a stand-alone, you need to read Book 1 first.
Wow! @ this book!! I was glued to the pages and on the edge of my seat the entire book! Sometimes it felt like I couldn't read fast enough because I wanted to see what was next.
This book has twists and turns, drama, danger, delicious steaminess, romantic moments and moments that made me tear up. What more can you want in a book!
This author wrote this conclusion so well I thought. Giovanni and India do get their HEA but there is a larger storyline that is left unresolved and will continue in Matheus' book.

Thrilling Dark Age Gap Mafia Romance
I was so excited for book 2 of Giovanni Souza’s Duet after the cliffhanger in book 1. It did not disappoint me. Giovanni and India story is a well written heart gripper as well as a heart stopper. It is brimming with passion, chemistry, danger, suspense and violence. The Souza brothers may not always get along, but they will always be there to back each other up when needed. I cannot wait to read about the youngest Souza brother, Matheus. Hopefully he will be able to reveal the last of the secrets that threaten the Souza Cartel.

Received as an ARC and leaving my honest review voluntarily. The cliffhanger ending in the earlier book had me waiting with bated breath for the conclusion and WOW what a superb conclusion it was, with the built up of danger and suspense, to Gio finally revealing his secrets and the brothers coming together as a family and Gio and India finding their HEA. To see such a fearless, dominant guy, a sicario no less, show his soft side to the ones he love is just too swoony. India is definitely no shrinking violet and despite her age, she shows her strength and resilience. She is the light to his darkness and I just loved them together! Can't wait for Matheus' story next.

Wow this author never fails to satisfy. This was a mesmerising story and second party of a duet between Giovanni, the third Souza brother and India, Andre's dead bodyguard's sister.
I have so enjoyed the slow build of the age gap romance that was pretty well forbidden. Gio fought his attraction to India because he knew of the ramifications of what the romance would bring. I also loved the addition of Leo that bought complication to the relationship.
Very well done in all levels is the story. I'm really loving this series and can't wait for more in Mattheus' story.
I highly recommend these books especially if you like Mafia themed reads, that are the best.

Hostile Devil by Autumn Archer is the fantastic, mind-bending continuation of Giovanni and India. The second part of a series tends to lose a little bit of steam…NOT SO with this riveting conclusion of this duet!! Things are confusing for India as Gio is in danger and she is determined to help!! But, the truth is more devasting than she could possibly imagine. There is so much to lose….hanging on a thread…it all centers on her….
Loved this gripping read that had me on pins and needles…with chills down my spine! Unaware of the betrayal and threats surrounding them…things get maddening!!! Excellent read!!!

Let me start by saying if my cardiologist knew what these books due to my heart rate he would demand that I stop reading them. I love all of the Souza men. Giovanni being my favorite. The darker the better. I have a feeling that Matheus is going to have his own brand of Darkness. Even though Letterman isn't a Souza I really hope he'll get his own book. Because I'm obsessed with him and how he got his name. I need to know if the Lozano we're behind the murders. The one that Tommy witnessed as a little boy and their dads.

I have loved all the books in this series and this is no exception. This is part 2 of Gio and India's story and it was well worth the wait. A twisted plot that will keep you guessing until the very end. Excellent worldbuilding with some hot and spicy interactions between our MCs. I liked that India was a mature woman for her age, despite everyone telling her she was too young to really know what she wanted. And what can I say about Gio, I think I might be in love with this dark and dangerous man.
Great read and series, I'm looking forward to the next installment.

Gio and India - Book 2
Hostile Devil is the sixth book in the Souza Cartel series and the second book in the Giovanni Duet. The story picks up from where Hostile Secret ends and continues the story of India and Gio. The author has once again written a story that has you glued to the pages and reading late into the morning to see what will happen next. The story is not what I expected but that is not a bad thing, as it gave me some things I was not quite thinking would happen. A great read and I can't wait for the next in the series.

The conclusion to this duet was spectacular. India is light, and Gio is definitely dark. There is still the question of who killed their father, I thought we would finally find out, but no! What an excellent web Ms. Archer has woven for the readers. Such deep emotions came through for me with these two characters. Yours and mine, definitely a love story for the ages.

Well, that was one hell of an adrenaline packed, suspenseful and jaw dropping story from start to finish.
The conclusion to Gio and India’s story was hot, spicy and emotional. It kept me on the edge of my seat, gripping my kindle tightly and turning the pages quickly to see how their story would end.
It was an entertaining and thrilling rollercoaster ride! Now I can’t wait to see what comes next.

WOW! What a heart skipping/racing, holding your breath, conclusion of Gio and Indie’s story in this fantastic book of the Souza Cartel. This is the second half of the duet of their story that will have you on pins and needles as it takes you on an emotional roller coaster ride. This book is full of drama, secrets, twists and turns, danger, and suspense as the story of Gio and Indie continues.

This is the rest of Giovanni and India's story. Everything about their relationship is explosive. The action and suspense run throughout the book, but the heat level is ramped up in this book. I love how protective he is with her, not afraid to stand up to his brothers. What I really love, though, is how fierce India is, how she wants to be by his side every step of the way, a true partner. Holy SHIT!!
The second half of Giovanni and India’s duet surpassed expectations. India despite her age, stands up and shows she is more than capable and mature enough to stand beside Gio, as much as Gio wanted to protect her, he couldn’t truly admit how his feelings for her had grown as in his fathers eyes, it was a weakness to love.
I’m so glad we get to see the other brothers as well! The Souza brothers could kidnap me and I would honestly thank them for picking me!
It really is the most intense second half of a book I have read in ages!

Hostile Devil picks up where Hostile Secret leaves off with Gio and India's story. Their story is intense, emotional, gritty, intriguing and absolutely smoking HOT! I love these characters! Gio's the epitome of the perfect alpha male and India's the absolute perfect fierce, bada*^ that he needs by his side. This entire series is utter perfection and Hostile Devil just adds that much more!

What an explosive conclusion to Gio and India's story. The action and suspense in this story was amazing and pulled me in right from the start. This story definitely kept me on the edge of my seat. I absolutely loved India and how strong and fierce she was throughout the book. This is such a good book and I can't wait for the next couple.

Oh my god! This was absolutely amazing. The second part of Gio and Indie's story was just as hot and dark and twisted as the first part. There were plenty of heart stopping scenes and times I was not sure of what would happen. It definitely keeps you guessing and craving more.

Autumn Archer does not disappoint.. this series just gets better and better. Absolutely loved the second part to Gio & India’s story. Can’t wait to see what happens in Matheus’ book.
