Bit too much romantic drama/angst for my taste is the only flaw in this otherwise beautiful love letter to pulp novels and Golden age comics.
Cliff, our hero, has traveled to New York to win back the woman he loves. Along the way he gets mixed up with spies, a monsterous killer, a bit of his past and an awfully familiar looking mysterious investigator.
Actually, I lied, there is a second flaw to the Rocketeer series. That flaw is that there was only the two stories. In a perfect world, Cliff would have gotten into and out of trouble for years and years.
