Are they the key to escape? But at what cost?Vices is a tale of loss and doing everything in your power to take back what was once yours.
Aidan is one of the survivors of the Slay, when the governments of the world united and killed off the undesirables of the planet (going from billions to just a few million). The survivors live a rough existence and Aidan is captured and imprisoned where life is brutal and dangerous. The government and its agents have no sense of value in people and their lives - they are simply to be exterminated. It is a cruel world, but she finds a few others resisting and creating a community of survivors to fight the evil system and protect each other. Strong characters and a scary concept based on a government with no empathy or value for life, only their own power and needs which seems rather familiar today.
