This was another great read by this author. It was definitely a page turner. There were many lessons to be learned in this book. I can't wait to read the next book.
I truly enjoyed this novel to the end, couldn't put it down until I finished it. I couldn't believe Lina's secret, but could understand why she didn't tell Maxwell because this happens in real life.. A lot of people don't know the true facts regarding Hiv and aids. LaCricia, keep up the good work and I will be reading your other books. I'm happy to know Maxwell and Nina would get back together.
I truly enjoyed this novel very true to life.. Couldn't put book down until I finished it.. Was surprised to find what Nina was concealing, but understood why, since many people are ignorant to the real facts. Was happy to that in the end Maxwell and Nina did come back together. Will be reading more of your books.
This was a great book on HIV awareness from the different sides. It is funny how still in 2018 people have not researched and learned more about this disease. So some of the things the characters said in this book remain true. Time to read part 2 to see how these relationships works out.
Enjoyed reading. Loved Lina. Maxwell pending. He was so cruel to her and immediately started dating Maxine. If he didn't find out about Maxine's deceit would he have apologize to Lina?

What I liked from the novel...
This was a Christian read that will give you much food for thought long after the read. The author does a good job a giving the reader a very captivating story that will keep you turning the pages till the end. The main characters Maxwell and Lina are two very interesting characters with one having 'suffered a cruel heartbreak.' Maxwell first sees Lina in church and wants to meet Lina and when they do meet there will be a attraction. However, what was going on with Lina from her pass and what will happen when it all comes out to what the reason was for keeping Maxwell far away really turns out to be a quite a interesting read. Will there be some spiritual and some unconditional forgiveness and love all twisted up in this 'Positive Deception?' In the end will Lina be his one and only?
To find out who, how, what and where all of this will be presented by this author you will have to pick up the good read "Positive Deception" to see how it will be all brought out to the reader. The only thing that will be missing or rather have you asking will there be a sequel? Would I recommend? YES!
I gave this book five star because of the sweet nature of the book. Lina is struggling with a secret while Maxwell is struggling with his hidden pride.
Awesome read. A lesson in forgiving people and not judging others. There are times when a person falls in love with someone, only to realize something is wrong with the person. Maxwell loved Lina regardless of her health issue.
