Kathleen Turner #5

Point of No Return

Rate this book
Kathleen Turner wasn't expecting to fall in love when she came to Indianapolis a year ago, much less with two very different men. And not just any men. Brothers.

Blane Kirk, former SEAL turned attorney, is every woman’s dream man. A playboy who changes women as often as he changes his tie, trying to hold on to Blane could only break Kathleen's heart.

Commitment is a foreign word to Kade Dennon, assassin-for-hire and genius hacker, and safety is non-existent. A future with Kade would surely end in disaster—for both of them.

Past betrayals come to a head and the choice Kathleen makes could sign her death warrant. Everything’s at stake as Blane, Kade, and Kathleen reach the Point of No Return.

"It seems it's going to be an all-out war for you, princess," he mused.
I lifted my head, alarmed. "No," I denied. "I don't want that."
"You say that as if you have a choice."

This book was all about wrapping up the loose ends in Kathleen, Blane, and Kade's lives. It's about making difficult choices and moving on to the next stage in life. Of course, when a love triangle of this intensity is involved, it's almost all I could see. That's a good thing!!

Usually in love triangles, there is a pretty clear cut winner...somehow, the author tends to make one guy do an unforgivable or questionable act that makes up both the heroine and the reader's minds about who is more deserving. So far, I've come across more Kade fans but the general consensus is that everyone really seems to love them both. The only downer about this being the last book is that one guy will walk away without the girl.

Blane:

Kade:

MY THOUGHTS:
I've got to be totally honest here, you guys. I friggin' LOVED the way that Tiffany handled this love triangle. YES, there is a lot of angst...shouldn't there be in a love triangle? It's practically law. However, the fact that both Blane and Kade are consistently made out to be stand up guys (minus the killing, mistrust, loving the same chick thing) really and truly MADE this series. Seriously, how many people out there...even the hard core Kade fans, actually DISlike Blane? Not many. And that's what makes this book so amazing. We seriously don't know, and to be honest, I seriously didn't care. To put myself out there a little more, I STILL think...even after finishing this book...that either guy would have been great. I love them both.

Now...I bet you're hoping I give some hints here. Let me see...hmmm...

Hint #1

Hint #2

Hint #3

Hint #4
Sheesh, people!

So when this book starts out, we are in the hospital with Kade after he was shot protecting Blane.

"It was surreal, the people I passed as I drove back to the hospital. Everyone acted as though life were normal. My world had fallen apart, but the sun still shone like it was any other day."

Each of our protagonists is in such in interesting mental state at this point...the gravity of their situation lays heavy on them all. Will one man decide to just walk away?

♦♦♦ KADE certainly has inadvertently made his love for both Blane and Kathleen evident, but will that be enough for Kathleen? Or does she need more from him to give up the intense past that she and Blane have had? I think she not only deserves the words, but Kade needs to make himself vulnerable in that way. During the course of this book, he deals with some of his inner demons, more so than he has up to this point. We get to see the coldblooded side of him up close and personal. And boy, is he ever ruthless when he wants something bad enough. Another way this talented author shows how her characterization can take over her readers is how much we all still identify with Kade and love him even after he does some pretty awful things. There's a fine line between loving a bad boy and loving an evil man. Kade rides that line like a pro, and still comes out with my heart.

♦♦♦ Boy, does BLANE realize how much he messed up. Honestly, I could feel his despair over the thought that his mistrust might push away the only woman that he's ever truly loved. And yet, he also has this internal battle because his baby brother, the one he saved from unimaginable circumstances when he was a kid, the one who can't even hug him because of his hangups...is passionately devoted to Kathleen. It's funny to me, because I think Blane is actually the only person here who realizes just how much Kade feels for Kathleen. And the struggle he has is not only how much he also feels for this woman, but he's got his evil uncle to deal with as well. His political career is very nearly on the brink of disaster due to the questionable death of Kandy, but really his focus is all on Kathleen.

"Sooner or later you'll choose," he whispered. "You'll want one of us more than you don't want to hurt the other. And you'll choose. I want to be the one you can't live without."

♦♦♦ Meanwhile KATHLEEN is in the middle of one of the hardest decisions of her life. Two books ago, I think I...and other readers...thought that Kade might have just been the sexy bad boy thrown in to assure Kathleen that she'd checked out all other options before settling on the right choice, Blane. But the last book threw that preconception right out the door. Kathleen is so alone in the world...no parents, no siblings, very few friends that she can lean on. She's broke, she's alone, and at this point, she feels just a little worthless. She truly doesn't want to have to choose between the two brothers. But denying herself both of them just might break her.

And if she thinks to walk away from them both...bahahahhahaha!!! I just have to laugh. Like that would ever work...not with these two. Kathleen isn't allowed to me an honorable masochist here.

The sex.
The SEX!!!

Holy crappolie, it's gotten hotter and hotter with each installment and this one just about blew me away. If there's one thing I can say that Kathleen is lucky about, it's that she's had these two such strong, able-bodied alpha men in her life teaching her ways to enjoy herself during down time. And enjoy herself in not-so-downtime as well :D

There is a major plot twist that happens in the course of these pages that will have fans of the series fist pumping and breath holding and tummy clenching. I seriously didn't know what to think when it came to light. Major game changer, you guys!! Major.

One more point to make and then I'll stop blathering...I felt that out of all the books in the series, this was the most romantic. Pretty words added to decisive actions make for one hell of a bold statement, and it was definitely made here. I am completely and utterly convinced that the couple together at the end of this book loves each other with every fiber of their being, and that they truly belong together. Yes, I think either man would be good for Kathleen, but only one really owns her soul. And he got her.

My crystal ball says that no matter what, fans of the series are going to love this book. And all triangle opinions aside, there's no denying that this is one of MY favorite series ever. Tiffany Snow nailed it...again and again, and again....and finally in this book...again!!!

Just to clarify, my "spoiler" hints are a big joke. I would never actually spoil anything for readers. Feel free to read them, they say absolutely nothing :D

Back in 2011, I had a new indie author reach out to me (a fairly new blogger at the time) and ask me to review her debut romantic suspense book. I wasn't sure what to expect, but by the time I finished reading NO TURNING BACK I was hooked on Kathleen Turner and her oh so hot ex-Navy Seal lawyer boss/boyfriend Blane. It's been a wild ride, with Kathleen getting her ass handed to her on more than one occasion, but one I'm so glad I've taken and a set of characters I will sorely miss now that the series is over.

Tiffany Snow doesn't make us suffer when it comes Kathleen's decision about which brother (Blane or Kade) she was going to end up with. But that doesn't mean they get their HEA right away or that there isn't second guesses and other turmoil that happens. This is Kathleen and the poor woman can never catch a break. But we do get a definitive choice. Is it a choice that everyone will like? Probably not, but it was a choice that in the end was the best one for Kathleen.

Kathleen has grown so much over the course of this series and it's never been more evident than in PONR. She makes some pretty hard decisions, but she's more thoughtful, more aware of outcomes and does what's best for her instead of what others might want her to do. Blane and Kade try to force her hand at times, but she stands her ground with them...which is something she didn't always do in the past.

Kade and Blane prove what they mean to each other. They could have easily hated each other and tried to poison Kathleen against the other. Despite what happened and the choice Kathleen made, they each knew what they meant to each other. Things could have gone very badly between the two brother, but they worked to make sure they were always in each others lives.

The secondary storyline loose ends are tied up and I think followers of the series will be happy with the outcomes. The author does a great job of making sure that as the series ends, we aren't left wondering about minor details or characters.

I'm a little sad now that we've gotten to the end of this journey. Kathleen, Blane and Kade have become like family over the past three years and it's always hard to let family go. But despite the end, Kathleen got the happily ever after that she really deserved. No matter which brother you want Kat to choose, this final installment was the perfect ending to the series.

The conclusion to Kat's story, and what a ride it has been.

description

Going into this one my anxiety was through the roof. I mean a choice is finally going to be made. This is a big deal. Don't judge me ;)

description

I'm not going to say much -I don't want to be responsible for spoiling the ending. I will say - The first half was crazy. I was frustrated, scared, sad, hopeful - seriously, I was a mess. But, I held on. Having faith in the story Tiffany wanted to tell. In the end, I am satisfied with how the series ended, and sad to say goodbye to Kat, Blane and Kade. These characters will always hold a special place in my heart. This series had the perfect combination of mystery, romance, angst, and humor. I highly recommend it.

Special thanks, to the lovely ladies in the BR! Thanks for holding my hand! xoxo

Never before have I felt such strong mix of emotions: nervousness, excitement and fear before a new release.

The fact that my GR friends experienced similar feelings:

1. Made me feel little less crazy and a bit less embarrassed about my obsession.

2. Proves what a great writer Tiffany Snow is.

Previous book set the bar really high and the anticipation accompanying the release just added to it.

Tiffany Snow scared me off of love triangles for life! Such amount of stress! A lot of hope, excitement, fear, happiness and joy mixed with pain. A bittersweet ending to an amazing series.

Each character here has to make a choice. There are no easy decisions and no easy answers.

Now that Kat realized her true feelings for Kade, she has to choose one brother.
She still loves Blane. But does it mean she is in love with him?
She does love Kade. But he never promised her future. Can they build a life together? And can she leave her life with Blane behind?

Or should she just walk away from them both?

Is there even such possibility?

How can she have her HEA if it means one of the men she loves will suffer?

"Sooner or later you'll choose," he whispered. "You'll want one of us more than you don't want to hurt the other. And you'll choose. I want to be the one you can't live without."

Blane has to live with the consequences of his actions and mistakes he made. Mistakes that pushed Kat away. Should he fight for her? Even if it means he will deprive his little brother of the only women he ever loved?

"I’m sorry, Kat" he said. "I’ve lost you so many times. I’m scared to death that this time, if I lose you, it’ll be forever."
I looked around at him, his words breaking my heart. "I love you," I said. "You know that."
"But are you still in love with me?"
I hesitated before answering. "I don’t know."

Kade never even imagined he would fall in love. He never dreamt of finding someone with whom he would want to build a life together. He never thought finding a women that would make him want to be a better man was a possibility. But he found that girl. The only problem is... it’s his brother’s girl.

"Thank you. For saving my life."
The ghost of a smile flitted across Kade’s lips. "The least I could do", he said. "You saved mine first, remember?"
Blane shook his head sadly. "No, I didn’t. Not really." He paused. "But she may have." His gaze fell on Kat as Kade’s brow furrowed, then he turned and left, quietly closing the door behind him."

Things I did not like:

Don’t look if you haven’t read the book. Major spoilers. Will ruin your reading experience.

Overall, I really enjoyed this series. It was well written, fun, action packed, full of sizzling sexual chemistry, entertaining and keeping you on the edge of your seat. Book number 4 will always be my favorite.

*Prior release*

Can't wait!

Officially DNF'D at 26% because time to just get off the crazy train. First book I have ever DNF'd

Predictable, recycled dialogue and the utter argg of it.

Kathleen Turner is the worst heroine I've ever read. I liked her a bit in books 1-2, book 3 she was starting to get on my nerves and I grew to absolutely hate her in book 4. How one character can take no personal responsibility for anything in her life is beyond me.

If I knew someone like her in real life I think I'd punch her in the face.

At this point I don't care who she chooses I think that both men should run away never look back.

So this is my prediction for the rest of the book. I don't even need to read it. Remember just a prediction. DON'T CLICK UNLESS YOU HAVE PAST 19% because there will be a spoiler for that:

My book buddy Kira wrote a review with an awesome run down of what happened in the book. She is team Kade, I was more for Blane but I feel she was really fair to the teams. Kira's Awesome Review

I was very fortunate to receive an ARC of this book from the author. There’s so much to be said about Point of No Return being the final book in this amazing series. As far as final books go, I wanted answers, I wanted closure, and I wanted a Happily Ever After for Kathleen.

Point of No Return started out where Out of Turn left off. Kade took a bullet for Blane and was laying in the hospital. Kathleen doesn’t know which brother she wants to be with, which one she is in love with, and she has to make a decision. It’s obvious she can’t have them both. The story progresses with secrets being shared, a return visit from Branna, and a visit to the Senator.

I devoured this book in just a few hours. I didn’t do that just to find out whom Kathleen had chosen, but to find out what happens with the Senator as well. This book is written in the typical Tiffany Snow fashion where you’re in suspense wondering who did what and why. Are they able to get to the bad guys in time, yet how many times does Kathleen get her ass kicked along the way?

When it comes to whom Kathleen chooses, I advise tissues. Whether you’re a Team Kade or a Team Blane reader, I think you will feel emotional when she makes her decision and tells the one brother that she chose the other. Her decision didn’t come easily and the writing made me feel all the heartache of a breakup and all the emotions of being in love. The love scenes were hot enough to make me forget that I had been crying previously.

I admit I was worried going into this book that I would be completely wrecked that one of my favorite series was now over. I will need to revisit Kathleen, Blane, and Kade over and over again, but as far as final books go, I was happy with the ending of this. I am curious about Kade’s Turn, but otherwise, I think stretching out the series further and creating conflicts that weren’t needed would ruin the series. I really felt that Tiffany ended things at a good place, with a good Happily Ever After.

If you’ve been reading the series, you can’t miss out on reading this final book.

The first 30% of this book left me totally frustrated. The back and forth, one minute with Kade, one minute with Blane, at her apartment, at his house, by his bed, at her work, splashing water on her face…. It’s the little things that get to me sometimes. I swear to God I was about to push her face down in the basin of water and keep her there.

I had been told by some friends that there was a turning point around 35% so I persevered. And yes the “Turning” point did come so the book did not have to go out the window.

"It seems it’s going to be an all-out war for you, princess."

I don’t want to say too much about the book, suffice it to say that I was happy with the way things turned out. It was bittersweet for the guy who lost. Did I feel sorry for him? Kind of. But hey, there is an opening for another book to hear his story.
KATHLEEN

But now for the first time he felt fear. He was afraid. Not just because he wanted to live – he did – but because he had someone to live for.

I felt for Blane and Kade… to want the same woman and know that there only was one choice. Or was there? Maybe Kathleen would choose to leave.

TIME HEALS

He’s been a fool to think that somebody like him could have a happily ever after

KADE

As I said the first 35% of this book annoyed me, but after that it was a great read. The last 30%, I was expecting a bit more excitement but when it wasn’t there, I didn’t mind as there were some wonderful moments.

”You’re a good man.”

OK, part of the story were clichéd and eye-rolling but, its fiction, its what we want to lose ourselves in, after a hard day at the office.

BLANE

He’d let me in through the chinks in his armor

IT WAS A MISTAKE

"You look like you want to be fucked."

"I knew the moment I first laid eyes on you"

And I got an Epilogue, so I was very happy.

Point of No Return is the fifth and final book in the Kathleen Turner series. We finally get to see whether Kathleen chooses Blane or Kade and all of the remaining unresolved conflicts from previous books are tied up as well. It's an emotional and action packed journey showing how Kathleen finds her happily ever after.

Unlike most of the other fans of this series, I struggled with this book. And if I am being completely honest, it wasn't entirely Kathleen's decision that I feel so conflicted about. I didn't love the major plot twist and found it to be predictable at times. I also was very disappointed with the lack of a happily ever after for the losing guy.

That being said, please don't let my opinion of this book deter you from reading this series. Tiffany Snow is a very talented & wonderful author that will keep you hooked with memorable characters, witty banter, a variety of emotions, and quite a bit of action and suspense. I strongly encourage you to take a chance on this series and experience it for yourself. You may find that you love it just as much as the many other readers who adore it.

A most disappointing conclusion to an epic series.

As always, Tiffany Snow's writing is just impeccable and I already love her characters (well most of them) but the way events progressed in this book just makes me want to shake my head.

In a nutshell:

Brutal and unresolved love triangle + Drama Llama = :(((

“Sooner or later, you’ll choose,” he whispered. “You’ll want one of us more than you don’t want to hurt the other. And you’ll choose. I want to be the one you can’t live without.”

Back in late 2012 I was searching for a book that kept me on my toes with suspense, romance and likeable characters. No way did I imagine just how invested I would be in the world Kat, Kade and Blane lived in. I waited on baited breathe for each release. I re-read each book at least 3 4 times.I found myself stalking Tiffany's website for extras, deleted scenes, and any information available about this series. I became obsessed with the emotional turmoil I came to experience with these three special characters and the relationships between them. Picking up No Turning Back was on the best decisions that I have made as a reader because I got to go on this incredible journey of love, friendship, and most importantly family. But most of all what I hadn't imagine was how painful it would be to say goodbye to these characters.

“We can’t go on like this,” I said after a while. “Me. You. Blane. It needs an ending.” His fingers had been combing through my hair. Now they stopped. “What kind of an ending did you have in mind?”

Point of No Return is wrought with goodbyes as this is the book that Kat makes the impossible choice of choosing between Kade and Blane. Without obviously spoiling the choice I have to say this was one of the most beautifully heartbreaking events in this book. As I have come to love these characters the decision of who I wanted Kat to pick has flipped back and forth and I think that is a true testament to Tiffany's writing. Not only were both men perfect but Kat couldn't have gone wrong with either one of them. Blane and Kade are both strong, honorable, and unforgettable. It's so rare in a love triangle to actually be rooting equally for each guy. But I have to say the choice Kat makes is not one done lightly or without question and in the end was the right one. It truly is bittersweet.

“I’m not giving you up without a fight, Kat,” he said. “Until you make your choice, I’m not going anywhere.”

While the love triangle is center-staged for most of this series the one thing that propelled this series from good to great is the relationship between Kade and Blane. Both men are as different as night and day but fundamentally those differences have worked in their favor. In Point of No Return both men stand opposite of one another with Kat in the middle but it never crossed a line that could have turned them into enemies. Although the bond and brotherhood between them is complicated at best it has always been supported by the loyalty and love they have for each another and that really shines in the last book.

He stood at the far end of the bow, the setting sun a blazing shimmer of red and orange behind him, making him a stark figure limned in gold. Glancing up, he caught sight of me, and his whole body went still. At that moment, everything faded away and it seemed it was just him and me.

While saying goodbye to Blane and Kade is hard for me the one I will miss most is Kathleen. The transformation of her character from a meek and unassuming girl to a strong and courageous woman is truly the heart of this series. As Kat was put into impossible situation after impossible situation it is easy to question her judgement from time to time but never her motivations. She was always just girl with her heart on her sleeve trying to do best for those around her instead of herself. I hope that despite what guy your rooting for the person you root for most is Kat because this is her story.

As I finish this review it's impossible to give justice to this series and this book. I went through a myriad of emotions from beginning to end and I'm so thankful that my late night browsing on Amazon led me to this series. It will forever be my go-to recommendation for those looking for fun, passion, suspense and love.

Welp...to say this was cheesy would be redundant, seeing as I've said that for each and every review for this series lol. And while it was the same ubelieavable shit, the stupid back and forth relationships, and the swoony men chasing an open-legged twat...I found I couldn't help but smile the whole time. It's been a while, and I think that helped enhance my enjoyment level.

It's the month of smut, so might as well finish this series to end the year while I'm so busy.

RTC...maybe. On way to Florida for vacay so I don't know that I'll make the time :P

TEAM KATHLEEN SHOULD HAVE DIED IN BOOK 1!

How apt that the title of this last installment is Point of No Return. BECAUSE NO ONE WILL EVER RETURN TO ME THE TIME I'VE WASTED ON THIS SERIES - NOT TO MENTION THE MONEY I'VE SPENT.

Unfortunately, what started out as an entertaining read crashed and burned in book 4 - or possibly even as early as book 3. This series should have ended a long time ago instead of allowing for the story and the characters to be dragged into ruin. Instead, we get unnecessary drama and out of character developments as the series was ending.

Whatever team you are on, this last book will make you mad. And that feeling will not come from something that happened in an organic way (or because it was the natural road to take) but via questionable twists to provoke such a reaction.

If I can go back in time, I will tell myself this: "Do yourself a favor and don't even think of picking up this series because the headache that comes with its dragged out storyline is not worth it."

And to think I actually thought this was miles away from your usual love triangles. Kathleen must be the worst MC out there - worse than Lexi (Avoiding series), Layla and Kiera (Thoughtless). If I can be thankful for anything, it's this: I am officially off love triangle books. Thank you Kathleen Turner for making me realize that that storyline is never worth my time.

Okay, this review is going to be all kinds of convoluted & ranty, so I apologize in advance. Basically, I can't get my thoughts together, because I have SO. MANY. FEELINGS. So I'm just going to copy & paste the ragey comments I emailed to a friend while reading the book.

I'll be honest. I kind of hated this book. And time isn't helping. It's actually making me even more pissed off about how the series ended. And it's not just because Blane, the guy I rooted for didn't get the girl. That's fine, whatever. I always knew that was a possibility, and I also liked Kade (or did. I lost ALL respect for him in the last two books), I just didn't think he was the right guy for Kathleen. In the last two books, my respect for Kathleen and Kade completely evaporated. I absolutely loathe both characters now.

I used to recommend this series to all of my reader friends. Now... I don't know if I can, to be honest. The first three books are great. The last two books feel like a completely different author wrote them. I have tried so many times to make this review "nicer," but I just... can't be anything but 100% honest with how I feel about the way this series ended.

---

Here are my notes while reading the book. Serious spoilers, so don't read if you don't want to be spoiled or haven't read the book:

At 12%: Ugh, Kathleen. You are such a spoiled, selfish cow. You don’t fool around with TWO BROTHERS ON THE SAME NIGHT. That is serious Jerry Springer territory. That is NOT OKAY. You need to be single for a while.

At 16%: When James Gage shows up: I do NOT understand why EVERYONE is so freaking in love with Kathleen. No one is that awesome. Her vagina is NOT magical.

At 18%: She’s going to freaking be pregnant, isn’t she. Please, please don't be pregnant. That's about as cliche as you can get.

At 19%: Yep. Pregnant. And she didn’t even ask the doctor how far along she is? Or what foods to eat or avoid or about prenatal vitamins? Wow. Great mom you’re going to be, Kat. Honestly, I hate this storyline 100%. I feel like it's essentially forcing her to pick Kade, and also, it's SO overdone. I hate it, hate it, hate it.

At 25%: Kathleen, I do not feel ANY SYMPATHY FOR YOU. Also, you DO realize that if you hadn’t been stupid to begin with, and you’d freaking told Blane that his uncle was trying to pay you off to get you to break up with him, none of this would’ve ever happened, right? Then, when Uncle Robert came to him with incriminating photos, he would’ve already been suspicious of him because you would've been honest with him and hadn’t hidden things from him. This WHOLE mess is YOUR fault, Kat. And you can’t blame Blane for jumping to conclusions when there was photographic evidence of you and Kade together, and when he's already caught you in bed with him, snuggling up together. Especially since, oh, you know, obviously his suspicions turned out to be kind of accurate. YOU ARE SUCH A TWATFACE!

At 26%: I still don’t feel sorry for you! Of COURSE Kade’s going to run. How can you be at all surprised about that?

At 28%: “What, was I going to ask him to sleep in his own bed with me when I’d rejected him for his brother? Was I that selfish?” Yes, Kathleen. I think we’ve established that you ARE indeed that selfish.

At 29%: Okay, Kat. You need to make note of this. Blane STILL WANTS YOU. Even though you’re carrying his freaking BROTHER’S baby. THAT IS NOT NORMAL. Most guys are NOT okay with that. See how decent of a guy he is? WHAT THE EFF IS WRONG WITH YOU?

At 32%: Yep. BRILLIANT IDEA, KATHLEEN. Just jump into bed with the brother you just rejected. No big deal at all.

At 33%: “Kade would give me a fortune, money he’d sold his soul to acquire, but he wouldn’t give me himself.” Should’ve stuck with Blane, honey. He'd give you both.

At 35%, the book switches to Kade’s POV. I have absolutely no desire to read that selfish dickhole’s POV at the moment. You don’t leave your pregnant girlfriend. I don’t care how emo you are. Especially when you’ve already made your brother miserable by knocking up his ex-fiancé, that he’s still in love with.

At 35%: “All of Blane’s dreams could have come true—if not for Kade.” Yep. YOU SHOULD REALLY FEEL BAD FOR RUINING YOUR BROTHER’S LIFE, KADE. ESPECIALLY after all he's done for you! You'd probably be a crack addicted homeless bum if it wasn't for him. “Guilt hit Kade hard, sucking the breath out of him. How could he have done this to Blane? To his brother? To the only person who’d given a shit about him when he was nothing but a skinny delinquent, intent on ruining his own life and taking as many people down with him as he could.” I’VE BEEN WONDERING THAT EXACT SAME THING, KADE!!

At 36%: I’m actually totally okay with Kade shooting the messenger, in this instance. Also, I REALLY hate the senator. A lot, a lot.

At 37%: Nope. Your reason for leaving didn’t make me think you were honorable, or a decent person. It didn't redeem you. All you had to do was TELL BLANE AND KATHLEEN WHY YOU WERE LEAVING. Or at least tell her that it wasn’t safe to be with you because of all of your enemies and that you loved her but that Blane was the better guy, if you were so determined for them to be together. Or tell your brother, so he could adequately protect her, if you were dead set on leaving her to protect her. You just bailing to save their lives does NOT make you a decent person, you douche. Plus, you’re a hired gun. Kill the effing senator. That should be a piece of cake. BAM. Everyone’s problems are solved, and Kathleen can pick who she wants to be with, and her life will no longer be at stake. We know that's going to happen eventually, why postpone it? This storyline is LAME.

At 37%: “It was the one thing Blane had always underestimated—Kade’s unswerving loyalty.” Are you effing kidding me? Obviously you’re not THAT loyal if you slept with your brother’s ex-fiancé – KNOWING he was still in love with her – and knocked her up. THAT IS NOT LOYALTY. Your definition of "loyalty" is ALL KINDS of screwed up.

At 38%: “If there was one thing that was certain, it was that Blane deserved to get the girl – not Kade.” Well isn’t that the damn truth. But I think he actually deserves a better girl than Kathleen, at this point, unfortunately. I'm starting to become totally okay with Kade and Kathleen being together, because they're both selfish douchebags.

At 40%: Good job, Kathleen. You’ve really picked a winner. A cold-blooded killer that takes jobs murdering people and shows NO REMORSE. Really. Great guy you’ve picked there. I DO NOT SEE THE APPEAL. Seriously. Why don’t you just freaking off the senator and be done with it, Kade?!? I could deal with him killing people when he was all Dexter-like and only offed people that deserved it, but just killing whoever, for money, without doing a little bit of background research? Nope. You are not a good person, Kade. I used to like you but I am so done now.

At 41%: “He’d broken the heart of the woman he loved, left her to raise his child without him. Blane had been right. Kade was no better than the man who’d fathered him. He’d repaid Blane’s love and acceptance by stealing his girl, then dumped her back on him as if she were garbage.” Yep, pretty much. At this point, I could care less what your motives were. It was a scummy thing to do. HONESTY, PEOPLE. Tell everyone what a douche the senator is, and cut him out of your life. That would literally solve ALL of your problems. What's taking so long?!

At 41%: “No one hated Kade more than he hated himself.” That’s debatable, at this point.

At 44%: “You shouldn’t have let her leave,” Kade said. “You were the only thing keeping her safe.” Well, if you had TOLD your freaking brother WHY you were leaving, maybe he wouldn’t have let Kathleen leave. I really hate how people in books don’t freaking communicate. That happens way, way, WAY too often in books (not just this one, by far) and it's really annoying.

At 48%: Back to Kathleen’s POV. Yet ANOTHER guy (Matt, from high school, former quarter back.) is interested in Kathleen. This is getting ridiculous. Pretty much every guy Kathleen has ever encountered thinks she's perfect and beautiful and wants to either date her or rape her. Not buying it.

At 48%: “I’ve killed ten men over the last few weeks. Do you want me to make it an even dozen?” Wow. What a standup guy you’ve picked, Kathleen. Ten men. In cold blood, no less. You picked a real winner. OBVIOUSLY you picked the better brother. /sarcasm

At 48%: “Matt was a nice guy, a good guy, and I didn’t take that for granted.” Um, yes, Kathleen. I think we’ve established that you VERY MUCH take the nice, good guys for granted.

At 50%: “It seemed pregnancy also had an effect on my libido, because I had to curl my hands into fists, my nails digging into my palms, to keep from licking Kade like an ice-cream cone.” I don’t buy this at all. If you’re hurt and pissed and angry and upset with someone, you do NOT want to get physical with them. I don’t care what kind of attraction is there, I don't care how raging your hormones are. The hurt would waaaay outweigh the attraction. Go solve your hot and bothered issue by yourself, you don’t need a man. This happens WAY too often in books. Seriously, let's be honest. If you're mad, and hurt, and have been festering in those emotions for a MONTH, I don't care how hot your guy is. You are NOT going to immediately jump his bones the instant you see him. You're going to want to claw his freaking eyes out.

At 51%: Wow, Kathleen can suddenly, miraculously cook? When’d that happen?

At 53%: “I killed those people so I wouldn’t have to feel anymore!” That's pretty much the Worst Reason Ever for killing a bunch of people. SELFISH, SELFISH, SELFISH. You and Kathleen are two of the most selfish characters I’ve read about in a long time!

At 53%: Aaaaand, we’re now at the first attempt on Kathleen’s life. I’m impressed that it took so long. In all of the other books, she’s been near death like, a dozen times already by now.

At 54%: “I just killed a man in your living room. And you want to have sex with me?” MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY, KADE! Kathleen is obviously completely unhinged.

At 55%: I miss Kade and Blane working together and being friends and not having Kathleen between them. This part is the ONLY part of the book that I've actually enjoyed.

At 59%: Ugh, Branna.

At 60%: “He needs you, whether he wants to admit it or not. If you don’t fight for him, if you just let him go, then he won’t survive. I saw it in his eyes. He came back to Indy to say goodbye to me, to you, and I’m sure whatever job he took next, it would have been his last.” Great. Not only is he a cold blooded killer, he’s also suicidal. NICE CHOICE, KATHLEEN. Someone please explain the appeal of Kade to me, because I REALLY don't get it. I do not want a guy that is suicidal without me. That’s a weakness, that’s not a strength, and that certainly isn’t appealing. I would want him to miss me, sure. But kill himself? No. Absolutely not. I want someone who doesn't WANT to live without me - not someone who CAN'T live without me. I want him to want to be with me, obviously, but someone that goes apeshit insane and starts murdering people because he misses me, and then contemplates suicide? Nope. Nope, nope, nope. "Bad boy" is one thing. This book is making Kade seem like a complete and total head case. A psychopath.

At 63%: “Branna’s a lot like Kade,” Blane said out of the blue. I glanced up at him and our eyes caught. “Damaged. I’m guessing she’s been through some of the same shit he has.” YES. Which is why they make SO MUCH MORE SENSE THAN KATHLEEN AND KADE TOGETHER. OR BLANE AND BRANNA TOGETHER. DAMN YOU, BOOK.

At 64%: Branna shrugged. “I shot him the last time I saw him, but it was just a flesh wound. I’m sure he’ll have gotten over it by now.” See? That just proved my point! Branna and Kade = perfect for each other. Both seem to have no problem with just randomly shooting someone.

At 66%: “It’s you… or it’s no one.” Um, yeah. Don’t buy that at all. You’re WAAAY too wishy washy with your feelings, Kathleen. If Kade was gone long enough, you’d bounce right back into Blane’s arms. Aaaaand now, sex in a motel room. Where Blane and Branna – both in love with the people currently having sex with each other – can hear them. I’m sorry, but y’all are selfish bitches. That's all there is to it. Skimmed this, because I just do not like reading about them together. Blah, blah, sex scene, blah, blah. (Spoiler about the rest of the book: Their loud sex, of course, makes Branna and Blane feel bad for themselves, and they end up having pity sex. This pity sex goes on for like, 7 years. THAT'S your definition of a happily ever after?!) And THEN, Kade tells Blane if he's got a problem with them having loud sex, to get ear plugs. SO. FREAKING. INSENSITIVE. “While I knew he had come to grips with the fact that I was with Kade, I never intended to throw it in his face as blatantly as it seems we’d done last night.” I call bullshit. You didn’t care one way or the other, you selfish cow. Other people were not on your mind at all while you were getting off.

At 68%: “So wet,” he whispered against the skin of my neck. “Tell me you only get that way for me.” But we already know that’s not true at all, Kade. A month ago, she had no problem at all fooling around with both of you in a night’s time. Poor Kade, deluding himself.

At 70%: “You might’ve let me die if you knew I slept with Blane last night.” I gaped at her in shock, anger, and hurt flooding through me. Honey. You have NO RIGHT to be hurt or angry. You both put on a show for your exes last night. What did you expect? SO DISGUSTED WITH YOU, KATHLEEN. And on top of that, my nemesis had slept with my ex while I slept with his brother. God, this was so messed up. This is the only smart thing you’ve said in the entire book, Kathleen.

At 72%: Aaaaand more sex. Nope!

At 73%: “Is it weird? You and Blane. Me and Branna. Both of you have slept with the same two women. Isn’t that… weird?” Yes. It’s weird. Y’all should really branch out more.

At 75%: “She slept with both of you and you believe her? She’s a white-trash whore, gentleman.” Uncle Robert, for once, you and I agree on something! Kathleen has kind of been acting like a white-trash whore, I’ve gotta say.

At 76%: “You were right, Kat. It was either him or you,” Blane said, turning my chin so I again faced him. “And I chose you.” AND YOU PICKED THE WRONG GUY, KAT! (Blane was referring to having to choose between her and his uncle. He killed Uncle Robert to save Kathleen.)

At 78%: “I said horrible things to Keaston, pushing him and Blane into a confrontation where Blane had to pick his uncle or me. I should feel bad, but I don’t, which pretty much says I’m a terrible person.” Yep. You’re a terrible person. Even though I hated Uncle Robert and am super glad he’s dead. You're still a terrible person. Also, the book is starting to feel a draggy. My prediction for the rest of the book: Blane is going to pretend to be okay with y'all being together for the rest of his life while he watches y’all suck face and have babies, and you’re going to end up happily ever after with your equally selfish husband.

At 79%: Aaaaaand, they’re engaged. Even though they’ve never even even gone out on a date. Nice. If we were being realistic, this marriage would be all kinds of doomed.

At 82%: Oh, how convenient. The evening gown she just happened to buy in Vegas during the last book, but never got to wear looks perfectly appropriate for a yacht wedding!

At 85%: Another sex scene. Skipping it.

At 86%: “You, my dear, are a cliché,” he teased. Yep. Agree 100%, Kade.

At 91%: And just when we think the main bad guy is gone, of COURSE James Gage comes back, to play the cliché villain, twirling his mustache.

At 98%: Nope, sorry. I STILL don’t buy Blane and Branna together. That is such a half-assed ending for Blane. Ugh. And then we find out that Blane still loves Kathleen. Blah. She’s so not worthy.

At 100%: “Somehow, even with all the mistakes I made, I got the girl. So no, I wouldn’t change anything.” Ugh, what a dickhole. “Do you think he’s happy?” I asked. …Kade took a deep breath, his brow furrowing slightly as he thought. “I think,” he said slowly, ”that Blane’s life… is exactly what he wants it to be.” ARE YOU EFFING KIDDING ME? YOU ARE DELUSIONAL AND STUPID IF YOU BELIEVE THAT. Not to mention that he JUST ADMITTED TO YOU that he was still in love with your wife. Oh, but his life is exactly what he wants it to be?! This is the biggest load of bullshit yet. SO DISGUSTED WITH YOU, KADE. It's official. I hate Kade.

---

Ahem. So yes. Those are my ranty thoughts while reading the book.

So my guy didn't get the girl. Fine. I can get past that. My beef is that his ending SUCKED. It completely sucked. I feel like I got no closure for this character I've loved for the last five books. Also, I didn't really buy Kade and Kathleen's love AT ALL. She's loved Blane for three books - four, really, because she still loved him in book 4, and then 20% into this book, BAM. No love for Blane at all, and she's suddenly 100% obsessed with Kade. It just felt very forced to me. Also, Kathleen's personality changed a great deal for me in the last two books, and not for the better. I felt she grew much, much more selfish, and I just lost all kinds of respect for her. ANYONE that sleeps with her ex-fiance's brother is a complete and total piece of shit human being. I don't care if she didn't "owe" Blane anything. She should have cared enough not to do that to his family. I don't care how attracted she was to Kade. Reel it in. You shouldn't put yourself into a position to get those feelings for the brother of your fiance, anyway. So yes. I HATED that story line, and I think I would feel much less rage if Kade had been a friend instead of a brother. At the end of the book, pretty much the only character I still had any respect for was Blane. It seriously felt like a completely different person wrote the last two books.

If you're Team Kade, you'll probably be thrilled with how the series ends - though, I would really love if a Team Kade person could explain to me why a cold-blooded suicidal killer is appealing to them.

If you're Team Blane, you will be shattered and royally pissed off. Just remind yourself that 6 or 7 years after their marriage, Kade is STILL insecure and has to question Kathleen's feelings for Blane, and Blane deserved someone SO MUCH BETTER than selfish Kathleen. Blane is the self-sacrificing hero of our story. He sacrificed his happiness for the two people he loved most in the world. He is the stronger, more loyal character. I mean, his BROTHER slept with his ex-fiance, got her pregnant, and married her. Despite all of that bitterness that was probably festering in him, all of the hurt and anger, he managed to hide those emotions and deal to keep his family together. I don't know many families that could withstand such a betrayal - and it WAS a betrayal, I don't care if they were broken up. Bros before hoes, and all that. You do not sleep with your brother's ex-fiance!!

I wish Blane could've found a girl worthy of him, that the plot was less emo, that there was more action (like in books 1-3), and that the characters had stayed true to themselves instead of becoming selfish assholes.

3 stars for Point of No Return

4 stars for the Kathleen Turner Series!

Overall, I really enjoyed this series. It was well written, fun, action packed, and always entertaining. I rated this series 4 stars because I honestly cared about these characters. Kade is one of my top book boyfriends and will always have a special place in my heart. I think Tiffany Snow is a very talented writer, and it's no small thing to create characters fans are this in love with and emotionally invested in. I read a lot of books, and that kind of magic just doesn't happen very often. There was always a lot of suspense going on, but for most people this came down to the romance. This love triangle was smokin' hot and filled with sexual tension. I loved that all three characters were lovable but flawed. All three of them made mistakes that made me crazy, but by the end of the series I still loved them all. In my opinion, what was so special about this love triangle was that both Blane and Kade were amazing guys, they were just different, and one of them was more suited for Kathleen. I loved that this author was brave enough to tie up the romance without trashing one of the characters. That's usually the easy way to lessen the impact of the choice that has to be made, and I'm glad she didn't go that route. I'm really sad to say that this final book of the series was a bit of a disappointment to me.

I don't want to spoil this for anyone who hasn't read the series, so I will spoiler tag my reasons for rating this book with a 3. Don't click spoiler if you haven't read the book!

Thank you to the ladies from both buddy reads!! I love that I have friends who understand my irrational emotional connection to fictional characters. :))

What an incredible ending to a phenomenal series. As a huge fan of the Kathleen Turner series, I was given everything I could want in a final book: action, longing, redemption, salvation, truth, revenge, angst, and ultimately love unwavering. Point of No Return has left me sated and filled with such love for these characters that I want to begin the entire series all over again.

I know many have picked a team. Whether it’s Kade or Blane you rooted for, or if you switched back and forth between books I think you will all be satisfied. I tend to think of myself as team Kathleen. The young girl from book one isn’t the same person in the final book. She has grown into herself and into self-assuredness. She is a woman now - one who needed to forge her own path and make her own decisions based on her own life and not those of the men in it. I love this Kathleen.

What I also found to be enlightening was the shift in both Kade and Blane. How Kade coming so close to death affected them both. Both men have to reflect on their lives and decisions they have made. It has made for a powerful self discovery for them both.

Now for the good stuff. Sexy time was off the charts! The action was heart-racing (I swear to you at one point I heard Bonnie Tyler singing in the background). As for our boys? Blane as a-take-no-shit Alpha is amazaballs. And Kade’s snarky one-liners had me doing the *giggle snort* throughout the entire read. I really am going to miss these two. The wit and the charm was one of the best features Tiffany Snow bestowed upon her characters. If you haven’t read anything from this author I suggest this be the start of your love affair with her. At this point I would read her shopping list and rate it five stars. She is just that good.

I am sad to see the series end, but am eternally grateful to be able to list this as one of my all time favorites. It’s bitter sweet letting a series go, but the love letter that is Point of No Return is a testament to the author and her ability.

5 Stars for Point of No Return and 5 unwavering stars for the series as a whole!
T~

P.S. I need her writing playlist, like, now!

The conclusion to Kat Blane and Kade's love triangle.

I must admit I didnt like the first 35%. There was a lot of back and forth with Kathleen and she was starting to annoy me. The story started to kick in after that. Kade was more serious here and I missed his cocky attitude from previous books. Kathleen brought the rating down for me mainly because of the beginning and I just found her quite weak.

I adore this series. It has a good mix of steam, romance and action. I never would have thought I would enjoy reading a love triangle but I am very happy with who she end up with. So this is goodbye to Kat Blane and Kade, they will always hold a special place in my heart.

The Kathleen Turns Series is FANFREAKINTASTIC! This series will take you on one hell of a ride. Tiffany Snow has a gift for writing some pretty amazing characters. She is able to keep a great balance with the suspense and romance that keeps you engaged. Throughout the series she blends in side characters and adds that right amount of craziness to keep the stories fresh.

And for those of you who are not fans of love triangles, in my opinion, this wasn’t your typical triangle. I never thought any lines were crossed or cheating took place. In book 5 things might have gotten a little “fuzzy” in this regard but for me it just worked.

This series gets 5 stars from me and is highly recommended if you love Romantic Suspense.

❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤

I was super excited to get my hands on Point of No Return. I was going crazy waiting for the conclusion of Kathleen, Blane and Kade’s relationships. By the end of book 4, in my mind, I thought Kathleen had made her decision, had chosen her man. What was I hell was I thinking? Really, there was so much more to happen between these three and Tiffany Snow gave me everything. She certainly left no stone unturned.

I’m not going to lie though; the first 35% of this book drove me a little batty. My patience with Kathleen was being tested. Even though she was being faced with making a pretty tough decision and her life was still in a tailspin, the back and forth and the “one minute stuff with Blane” then the “one minute stuff with Kade” was wearing thin on me. I needed something to change.

Thankfully that happened. Kathleen knows that whatever decision she makes someone she loves deeply will be hurt. My heart broke at times for all of them.

"Sooner or later you'll choose," he whispered. "You'll want one of us more than you don't want to hurt the other. And you'll choose. I want to be the one you can't live without."

 photo 6e594d4e-3d17-4c8a-b34c-cdc5b48ecac7_zps454a3c99.jpg

But one of them has touched a spot in her heart and soul that the other hasn’t. Knowing this doesn’t make it any easier though. Both Blane and Kade love her, albeit differently, and each of them want to have her.

Blane ~

We see a different side of him in this book. He was more humble and I guess you could say a little desperate. I never questioned his love for Kat. He treasured her and wanted nothing more for her to be happy. But the mistakes he has made with her will always be a gray cloud hanging over him. Still sexy as all hell Blane snagged a piece of my heart in this book.

Kade ~
 photo 07461e5e-897c-4fc1-989e-ccc9fdcb33fb_zps5c8c198e.jpg
He continues to be intense but we also see a vulnerable side of him too. He has always been honest about who he was and how he felt about Kathleen. His love for her seemed so natural. But whether he would be good enough for her kept floating around in his head. Kade stole my heart from the beginning of this series. There is just something about him that always had my heart pounding.

Kathleen ~

She was always fearless, feisty and unknowingly sexy. In this book though, something changed in her. I can’t find the right word though. She was struggling. She had what seemed like the weight of the world resting on her shoulders, on her heart.

As with all the other books we get some pretty steamy sex scenes. Sexy moments were plentiful!! When Kathleen is with the man she chooses, holy shit, things get HOT!

 photo pointcollage_zps182b8b5c.jpg

There were a lot of twists and turns in this one too. And I don’t mean just on the suspense side of things either. Fate is a funny thing :) And with Keaston and James resurfacing again, things get a little crazy. We go on a bit of a road trip. With the addition of Branna, the girl claws come out (which I must say was a bit amusing) and all of them find themselves in a sticky situation. Would life for them ever be simple?

Though this book didn’t get a 5 star rating from me, I did love it. There was quite a bit going on and we get resolution to everything. But in some ways that is what took it down a notch for me.

Do I think she made the right choice? Absolutely!! Was I sad for the one she didn’t choose? Yes, but she finally listened to what her heart was telling her and he knew that. ❤ The epilogue was sweet but….

3.5 STARS

Well, that was one hell of a series. Did it go out with a bang? NO. Was is great though? YES.
This was the fifth and final installment in the aptly named Kathleen Turner series. I was anticipating this one like crazy and while I loved how it ended, I found it didn't measure up to the books before it. That could honestly be because this book was more of a tying of loose ends, closing arguments and cleaning house. The love triangle also came to a close, but I think by the end of book four, we knew where Kathleen's heart lay.

There wasn't as much seat-of-your-pants action, and cutthroat situations. I felt things were more subdued this time around. The first half was very tame. Kathleen pissed me off quite a bit. She knew who she wanted but remained a helpless observer more than anything. She tried to walk away from both of them, honorable intention for sure, but that never saw practice in real life. Blane and Kade are mature individuals and they deserve to be treated as such. I understood Kathleen's hang ups and her fear of dividing the brothers, but leading both on only complicates things. So, needless to say, she was quite self-centered, wanting her cake and to eat it too.
There was a scene much later on, after she had made her choice. The losing brother had done something that upset Kathleen. Her justification about being upset revolved around that brother's decision to do what he did without thinking of her. REALLY?? You can't have it both ways babe! And I don't mean wanting both bro's at the same time, I mean she can't be in-love with one and want him forever, but want the other to be happy and loyal, like a well loved mutt, sitting around and not moving on.

Anyways, there was some action, not a whole lot of suspense, some intrigue, but as a whole, this book was like a closing argument. Nothing new was really presented here, more finishing off the story lines that dominated the series from the beginning. There were some extremely sweet scenes with Kathleen and her man, very romantic and heart-melting confessions...loved that. I honestly believe that the man she ended up with was her perfect half, they just 'got' each other.

The epilogue was not as good as I'd hoped. I loved where Kathleen and her man were in their lives, they were so well suited for each other. And although I always rooted for one brother in particular, this book proved once again that BOTH brothers are fantastic men. I had never wavered for who I rooted for, but I did a little in this book. So I think no matter what side you're on, you'll see the benefits and beauty of Kathleen being with either brother.
But yes, the epilogue. It was a little long winded, and it depressed me a little. Epilogues should finish off the current story and give closure, maybe allowing you to shed some tears. But here, I felt sorry for the losing bro. He was actually painted almost in a pathetic light. He's NOT, at all, but his presence left me upset and empathetic for him and his situation. I wish it was done a bit differently, but maybe it was deliberately left that way so when he does get his own HEA we'll be rooting for him all the more.

So 3.5 stars for this book, but the series is 4-4.5 stars. Seriously, it's excellent suspense with two men that are equally sexy and smart. I'm not a fan of love triangles, but when done well it's excellent, and so was this series.

~2.5~

So the long wait for the last book its over. I don't remember the last time I was anticipating a book this much. I remember reading the first three books in a row and then reading the 4th book in almost a day. Then the waiting for this one, I was so nervous, and excited. I loved both Blane & Kade for the whole series. After book 4 I finally was cheering specifically for one of them to get the girl but still liked the other.

Well, I got my bittersweet ending. Despite, that the guy that I was rooting for got the girl, I was left with mixed feelings about this book, especially after I was done the epilogue. In fact I initially had the rating to 4 stars, but the more I think about it overall, the more it bothers me so I have lowered it to 3 stars.

The first 40% ish of the book had me frustrated and annoyed to the point that if I wasn't so invested in the characters/series I would have given up . Really liked the second half. There were some scenes that were perfect, absolutely loved, and was swooning, so that had me feeling good again. But then the epilogue.

First 40ish% of the book: 2 stars

Second half of the book: 3.5 to 4 stars

: 5 stars

Epilogue: 2.5 stars

Despite my mixed feelings for this last book. I still really loved the series overall. It was fun, entertaining, fast paced. Three of the books are in my favorites. I love both Kade & Blane. Each so different but both great. They've made it to my favorites male characters. I may re-read the series all in a row to see if my feelings towards this book change. I've seen some comments mention about a spin-off for the other guy and really would love that.

Thank you to the girls who BR this with me, it was great :)

Dear Book,

Because if you knew me, you'd know that I always, ALWAYS

And so we're finally here, the last book. And everyone's dying to know, who will Kat choose between Blane and Kade?

We don't really care about the other details or her life, or the men's lives, because it all boils down to this love triangle. And I've been so consumed by this, THIS triangle that I chose to ignore the ridiculous clichés. Tiffany Snow managed to grab me by my phantom balls and not let go until the very end. And silly at it is, it has been one helluva fun ride.

I'm honestly very easy to please. I fell hard for Blane the moment I started No Turning Back. And then he did unforgivable things which made me consider Kade. Kade, whom I found interesting but douchey. And then book four happened and the heartbreaking pleading and "choose me's" got to me and I'm all, "Blane who?" He was THE guy for Kat, undeserving woman that she was is. I felt that he loved her more than Blane, you know? And he's the broken one, the unloved one, while his brother had everything. Of course I'm rooting for Kade.

**SPOILERY FEELINGS AHEAD**

Despite the cheese and cliches, I love this series. Well done, Tiffany Snow. This isn't over. I expect a spinoff.

OMG! I can't believe it, but I have to face the truth.
A decision has been made...

..and Kathleen's heart belongs to..

This last installment really kicked my poor little heart in the nuts. **Pardon my French** Although I'm Team Kade, I was crushed when Kathleen finally chose Kade over Blane.

Why you ask? Because I freakin' love them both!?

I think in this book I loved Blane even more than Kade. I was so afraid how he would react to Kathleen's decision. But he did everything right and my heart broke for him.

**OH BLANE...I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU**

Of course, like in the books before, Kathleen's life is in danger and there's some drama to overcome before Kade and Kathleen finally get their HEA.

And don't get me started on the epilogue... so so

Even if it was a bit cheesy, I really don't care, because in the end everything turned out all right. I was so happy to see that Kade, Blane and Kathleen somehow made it work and Blane still played such an important part in Kade and Kathleen's life. ***sigh***

This series will always be an

5 STAR ENDING FOR A FANTASTIC SERIES
 photo BlaneKatKade.jpg

Review may contain spoilers...

The end of a series is always a difficult thing for both the author and for the reader. Especially when the story has been so tumultuous and exciting. Kathleen Turner has taken us for a wild ride… and the twists and turns along the way have put us on the edge of our seats, ripped our hearts out, chewed them up and spit them out. Left us frustrated and torn. Thrilled and swooned.

So, how do you bring your reader down from a high like that, while giving them the ending they crave? An ending worthy of the beginning. Well, I have to imagine that it was not an easy task. But I believe that Tiffany Snow pulled it off beautifully. I’m not saying I think it was perfect…. but honestly, it was as near to it as I believe possible.

 photo 037.jpg

“Sooner or later, you’ll choose,” he whispered. “You’ll want one of us more than you don’t want to hurt the other. And you’ll choose. I want to be the one you can’t live without.”

 photo c4816ef1-3018-4e25-bd4d-c6960c8fe832.jpg

Our heroine, Kathleen now has a crucial decision to make. A decision that will hurt someone she loves dearly no matter which choice she makes. And this choice is tearing her up inside. There is a game of tug-of-war going on between Blane and Kade, and the biggest casualty is going to be Kathleen's heart, and just possibly their relationship as brothers as well. And it seems their both prepared to fight dirty.

But what Kathleen didn’t know, was that the choice was already made.

Fate would intervene… to show her what her heart already knows.

So she makes her choice, and she follows her heart… end of story, right?

Of course not… As usual, it will blow up in her face. And it will break her heart. So where does she go from here? How does she pick of the pieces.

Now there are too many spoilers to say much more here. But let’s just say, the ending was ….

EPIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 photo Salperton1.jpg

“I never knew who and what I could be, until I met you. You see the very heart of me.”

Now I guess that depends on which team you were routing for, and I tried to consider her options equally. And really… I believe that the story ended exactly how it should have. The only ending that truly could have worked out between the three of them.

And I felt that the author also threw in some additional excitement to tie up all the loose ends, *cough* and *cough, cough* providing closure and satisfaction for both her characters and her readers.

The writing here was fabulous, as usual, the quotes numerous and the steam… BOILING HOT!!!!

KADE DENNON has easily become a card carrying member of my favorite book boyfriends ever list!!!!!! I mean, this guy is sooooo freaking badass, and yet sooooo freaking sweet. He literally swooned me into a steaming pile of goo so many times in this book, I lost count. Of course there were times where I wanted to put a knife in his back, but he more than made up for them.

"I would do anything for you."

 photo 1646a63f-b6ea-4758-bd43-947f3d66d428.jpg

And BLANE KIRK is right up there with him. My heart completely broke for him in this book. I was on the fence between both men throughout the entire series, and even after she made her choice, I was still pining for him!!!! This is where I’m hinting… no asking… no begging… “SPIN OFF SERIES”!!!!! No pressure Tiffany!!!!

Now, I know my review is vague and doesn’t pin point too many highlights…. but I didn’t want to give anything away. It's so much better no knowing!!!

So the end is here and it’s bittersweet. And I will miss these characters and their wild antics dearly. I loved the series, and will look forward to diving into anything our beloved author puts out in the future.

My final word….

I GOT A LETTER FROM BLANE!!!! SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Here is my reply:

Dear Blane,

Your letter made me cry! Not because it touched me but because I can't believe you're continuing with your emo shtick. I guess it wasn't enough to throw you under the bus from the end of book 3. The bus then reversed, ran over you again and for good measure a firing squad was called in right after someone hacked you to pieces. Gruesome? Sorry that's how I feel for the last two books of these series.

Stop your "blessed" singledom martyr act. Believe me, YOU WON. You got away from a whiny ho who didn't think it was morally disgusting to come between two brothers. Did you really want a happy ever after with THAT? You exemplified that woman in the bible featuring King Solomon. Your brotherly love knew no bounds. The immoral skank, btw definitely deserves your brother who belongs in a mental institution. This brother whom you love above all else FYI showed no respect at all for you or for your relationship back then - from day one if I may add. Not that you'd care. ALTHOUGH I THINK YOU AT LEAST DESERVE A SORRY FROM THE PSYCHO!

So Blane, it's time to move on. You don't have to be an extended part of this family that belongs in (fill-in-the-blank). And there is no need to be happily single with your successful career. You sound like an old lady justifying her lonely life. YOU DESERVE SO MUCH MORE BECAUSE YOU ARE THE BEST MAN. Go and find your HEA. Stop pining for someone who I thought was morally deplorable. YOU DESERVE WAY BETTER. Don't think about what could've been but what you were rescued from. YOU SAVED YOURSELF. YOU GOT AWAY. This emo kick is so not you.

HUGS!

Reread 2023:

Still the weakest in the series by far. But I love Kade enough to get through it and enjoy the bits I do like. The author's (shitty) politics are much more apparent to me this time around. Though that may just be because I was blissfully ignorant before. Never meet your heroes and all. I struggle to recommend this series because of the author at times. Yes, it's only politics and it's personal, but it still says a lot about a person and I don't really like what I see. Kade is still one of my favorite MMCs of all time though.

Reread may 2018

Reread june 2017:
It is the weakest book in the serie and there is a bit too much back and forth in the first part. But it's still fun and the series as a whole is great.

____________
Reread.
Still a great series. A must read. Kade is one my favorite book heroes.

I loved this series and the stories and I'm glad Kathleen ended up with who I'd pick. However, this wasn't the best book in the series and the first part was awful. I hated the back and forth between Kade and Blane. This series was too good to be dragged down by such a storyline.
But... great series! must read if you love romance and suspense.

First off, I want to say that I am NOT good at reviews. Ironic coming from an author, I know.

But ANYWAY - I hope I can do this book justice with my review.

I started this series a LONG time ago. I found No Turning Back by chance on Amazon. The description sounded promising, and a bit different from typical romances, so I bought it.

I finished it in one sitting. After that, I was glued. As the story progressed, I became Kade's #1 fan. I've never kept this quiet on my author page, on Tiffany's page, or anywhere else. I proudly wear my Team Kade shirt a few times a month. (Yes, I'm really that nerdy.)

As the series progressed and the relationships between the three main characters turned into one of the biggest, craziest, love triangles I have EVER read, I couldn't stop reading. The storyline was so fresh in each book, and Point of No Return was no different. I was captivated from page one.

As I said above, I've almost ALWAYS been Team Kade. Blane just rubbed me the wrong way for some reason. But in PoNR, that changed. The qualities I hated most about him were suddenly the things drawing me to him.

And Kade. Oh, Kade, how I love you. But, in this book, I DID want to strangle you more than once.

Both brothers have faults, and they both have redeeming qualities as well. Both sets of traits were apparent in this book.

For the first time EVER, I was torn between these two brothers. I refuse to give the ending away, so I'll leave it at that.

PoNR was incredible, awe inspiring, HOT, and most of all, my favorite book of the Kathleen Turner series.

Read. This. Book.

You will NOT be disappointed.

Well written, several really good one liners that make you melt, but unfortunately very poorly executed.
I enjoyed all her prior books in this series and have them rated 5 star. This book is all about the fans or so I was hoping. It's the end, bringing the love triangle between Kathleen, Blane, and Kade to a close.

If only Snow would have sequenced this book differently I could have given it 3 maybe 4 stars. I'm rating this so low because of the last 1/3 or perhaps 1/4 of the book. Its so flustrating when she created several books prior that were better than seasoned authors.

I grew up with a saying " be a good looser but be a good winner too"
Possible spoilers from this point on.

I hope Snow ended this book the way she did because of lack of experience as a long term author. I knew before starting to read this book that it was highly unlikely my choice for Kat's husband would be chosen. I like both men they were great choices so I trusted Snow to lead this ending well, her prior books were THAT good.

Let me state clearly it's not because she didn't pick who I wanted. It was the way it ended. Having multiple chapters of the guy I didnt want set in front of me was difficult. The last quarter of the book was incredibly painful to page turn, to see the spoils of choice taken over and over and over again then add a wedding and a third element I kept hoping for redemption in those final chapters, I found no comfort.

Snow ( in my opinion) disregarded how much her fan base had came to love her her underdog. Falling for fictional men is undoubtedly a sign of a good author however multiple chapters of winner takes will not inspire me to read her work in the future. I wish the best for her writing career, I hope one day Snow will be able to see the value of all of her fans, not the only the majority. I also hope that her underdog fans in her next series they are treated with a much more genteel hand.

On a very personal note I've followed Snow for quite some time. It was her love of another fictional man in fanfiction that drew me in as a reader. As I know she is a fan of a particular underdog from a long running book series I expected her work not to follow the path she did.

Rate this 4.5-5 stars.

AHHHH! I don't want to give away ANYTHING from this book because it is the finale to this series, as sad as I am that this is the last book I thought it was finally time to find out who Kathleen chose. The very beginning, I was very annoyed with Kathleen mainly because of her constant back and forth between the two brothers (as shown in previous books)

This is the only series I've read so far (love triangle) that kept me wondering who she was going to pick, the author really did a good job of keeping the reader on their toes mostly throughout the whole series unlike other books.

Hands down, my OTP is Kathleen and Kade
I am a Kade fan, I have loved Kade since the introduction of him into this series and I cannot get over the chemistry between these two in this book. You have no idea how many times I had to put this book down just to catch a breath and stop myself from ultimately going crazy. The dialogue, the sex, was the best I've ever read in the 5 books. In this book, you get to see more of a different side of Kade.

What kept me going was the moments, it was like everything was finally going to alright and then BAM the book takes you kinda of on a turn. Like the other 4 books, you see both guys protecting Kathleen from danger. So much lusting and love in this book that I can't still get over.

I personally did not like this book as the rest, most likely because by now you can tell who she's going to pick (I think this was what the author intended to do) but I did enjoy the ending very much and this series will always remain as one of my favorites.

Oh boy.

I loved this series, so I'm a little disappointed that I didn't like the final book. Kathleen had started to bother me a little in the fourth book, but she was unbearable in the fifth book. I get it. Both Kade and Blane are great guys. Because of the fact that they were brothers, I just couldn't deal with Kathleen's indecision. It was putting everyone in a really uncomfortable situation and it was selfish of her to keep one on the hook when she clearly wanted to be with the other more. This cleared up (mostly) between 20% - 25% of the way into the book, which isn't bad, but I was annoyed the whole way through it.

Because I liked both of the brothers, I spent the rest of the book feeling really bad for the one she didn't choose, which kept me from enjoying the book as much as I could.

I'm also used to a little more adventure and excitement with the Kathleen Turner series. Compared to the prior books, there was not much here and it seemed a little forced. Like there wasn't really anything important left to talk about except the love triangle, but that wouldn't take a whole book, so let's handle these Senator Keaston and James issues in a very anticlimactic way.

I'm really sad that the series is over and even more sad that I couldn't enjoy the ending.

That being said, Tiffany Snow is an amazing writer and I am likely to read more of her work.
