Friends with Benefits #5

Friends with Way Too Many Benefits

Rate this book
As Jim and Victoria learn to live together and raise their new baby, Jillian and Brian embark on a challenging and hilarious struggle to conceive one of their own. Getting pregnant seems like a piece of cake compared to what's involved in bringing Jillian's novel to the big screen as an unwelcome guest and an ill-advised celebrity free pass complicate matters immensely.

Featuring expanded Ian Dalton scenes, this book is also the continuation of the steamier Victoria Wilde version of the series. The optional "Ian" scenes are easily skipable by readers who prefer the Luke Young variety.

Containing summaries of all four earlier books, Friends With Way Too Many Benefits is also a great place to join the series. Come to know this wild, fun and amazing group of characters who share far too much with one another and where no dare, practical joke or topic of conversation is off-limits. So whether you are new to it or been following this group of friends around since the beginning, you are sure to have "Way Too Much" fun with Way Too Many Benefits.

Fun, sexy, and captivating

This book was another amazing read following the previous books in the series! Just when I thought they got rid of Natalie she, she pulled herself back in for another amazing twist to the story! As for Jillian & Brian.... there is an amazing surprise that happens for them! This book is everything you want in a funny sexy read!

I have two words for this series: hilarious and inappropriate. I can't help but laugh out loud, but this series definitely isn't for the easily offended. Some time has passed since the last book. The Leg Thing is being made into a movie. Brian and Jillian are trying to get pregnant. Brian gets into some more crazy situations. Hilarious but you have to feel bad for him. There are marriage proposals and celebrities. Natalie is back and I don't hate her as much anymore. This is just a fun, funny read.

It was good to read about the gang again... Feel like the story is not finished now with that ending so I hope we have a other book coming soon!! I was not thrilled about Natalie in this book and her ending!! But otherwise it was hilarious!!! And poor Brian he just gets himself into some crazy situations!!

Was great to catch up with this bunch of characters. As usual the humour contained within the pages had me laughing out loud and as usual the sex scenes were smoking hot. Some of the things in this book had me rolling my eyes while my sides were splitting. I feel for the guys in this book as they always seem to get themselves into god awful yet hilarious situations. Can't wait for book 6.

I loved that EVERYONE got a happy ending! Even Natalie and Paul, she redeemed herself and glad she changed her ways. Victoria is finally going to make an honest man out of Jim and Brian's fertility tortured paid off twice over. Rob and Bridget are even making Jillian and grandma.

There were definitely some LOL moments and some steamy moments, the writing isn't really amazing or anything but it's been an interesting read.

Good gracious this man is funny! I swear just when I think he can't top the last book, Luke Young delivers one of the most entertaining reads you will ever have! Every book in this series is a ROFLYAO kinda book! He's created a world of characters that you would pay money to live next to and be best friends with. Even the smallest character (cop) adds humor! But I think what I love most is that even though these books are laced with humor, there is an underlining theme of true love and devotion, the true meaning of family and acceptance.

In the newest installment to Jillian/Brian and Jim/Victoria's story, Victoria and Jim are settling into being parents of a one year old. Victoria is having serious issues with the age gap and Jim tries to reassure her regularly. On the other side, Jillian is working on her book that is being made into a motion picture and dealing with the casting and so forth, while at the same time her and Brian are attempting to get pregnant.

Of course getting pregnant can't just be an easy task for these two. As much as they love the crazier side of sex, they have to cut all that out as they are trying desperately for a child. This leads to Brian having a lot of "hard" moments to deal with.

Jim is trying to convince Victoria to marry him but with a cute new little masseuse at the Club, being mistaken as his mom and her own post-baby insecurities, Victoria isn't having any of that. She sees all the things that can go wrong but not once does she lose the spunk and sarcasm that makes her the best supporting character/best friend a person can ask for.

Will Celebrity Free Pass lists, Natalie showing up, sexy masseuses and mistakes with a curling iron, this is just another one of Luke's cleverly delivered masterpieces that you can't live without!

Favorite Quotes:

"Stump?" Rubbing his hands over his face, he let out a long slow breath. "Let me get this straight, so I can either have you chop off the tip and tie it off like a sausage link or your can chop off three whole inches and reattach it?"

"I swear I called." Rob bent at his waist and placed his hands on his knees. "You'd think I could walk into my family's dining room and not see my mother's cervix. Yeah, anybody would think they could do that. I, I really think I saw your cervix. I mean, it was like right there and oh my God....What just happened?"

This series keeps getting better and better! Luke has worked his magic again. One minute he has me laughing out loud then on the next page he turns on the hot and steamy sex scenes.

We venture on with the lives of Jillian & Brian and Jim & (crazy, but lovable) Victoria. The crazy antics and situations these two couples can get themselves into, without even trying, just blows me away. One of the scenes I love the best was Brian's shower scene with an actress and Jillian over hearing their conversation. His comments during this scene made me fall in love him all over again. Also, the scene with Brian in the fertility clinic when the construction workers burst in had me in tears. I have to mention the Scrabble game, which was very creative and sounded like a lot of fun! Looking forward to reading the next book in the series. I'm only sorry that it is the last one. I'm not sure if there will be other books in the series, guess I'll find out for myself, but I will be sad to see these couples go!

You have to give this series a try!

I was gifted a copy of this book in return for an honest review.

Once again Luke Young cracks you up. Some of the situations had me rolling. Dirty scrabble LOL! Good old Natalie is one of a kind! I loved the little surprise at the end of the book as well! I liked the flow of this book a little better than the others, because it seemed more focused on only a few characters vs alot.

However, I am only going to say 4/5 stars, because I feel like we could have got to the end a little quicker, and per personal preference I am just someone who doesn't need more there 3 books in a series.

With the negative out of the way, the thing I like the most about this book (and all the other books too), is that 35+ aged people are fun too! I know I said it before, but so many romance books are people 30 or below. It was refreshing for this romance to have some "older" characters.

This is book five of the series. Natalie hears it thru the grapevine that Jillian's book is becoming a movie. She wants a part of it and will stop at nothing to get what she wants. She uses her evil ways to seduce the head director Paul and lands a part in the movie. How will Jillian react to the news?

Brian gets a chance to meet Amanda a famous actress that he has a crush on. When her tennis coach does not work out Brian takes on the duty of teaching her the game along with fantasizing about her. When Amanda comes on to him will he choose her or be faithful to his wife?

Jillian and Brian get great news that they are pregnant and expecting twins. She gets the wonderful news to that she is gonna be a grandma.

Victoria has finally accepted Jim's proposal so both couples fly to vegas for them to tie the knot.

I was on the edge of my seat reading this book not knowing how it was going to turn out. I am excited to read the conclusion of this series.

Jillian, Brian, Jim and Victoria are back in this 5th installment of the Friends with Benefits series. This time we get to follow the challenges of their lives whether its their professional careers, marriage, trying to get pregnant or just getting through a simple massage. These couples are fun, confident and off the rails sexy, but Author Luke Young has made sure they are still grounded in reality and have the same vulnerabilities as any other couple coping with jobs, the dynamics of friendship and keeping their sex lives exciting on a daily basis. We are happy to see Jillian's son Rob make an appearance as awkward as it was and surprisingly Natalie may not be as unwelcome as she was in the past. The storyline is fast paced and filled with laughter, great sex and missteps that make these characters easy to love and get attached to.

OK I've hated on Natalie before but I actually forgave her in this book. She's finally grown up *tear*

I loved the integration of the Ian Dalton scenes and the option to skip them for those who don't enjoy explicitness (I was not a skipper. They were HOT!!).

I would like to see more situations where Jillian is allowed to be really aroused by someone else. Call me picky but Brian has been aroused by Natalie, Victoria, Amanda Jo, and randoms. He's even allowed other women to handle/fondle his junk (not ok) but I can't pinpoint a time where Jillian got the same benefit. Just sayin'. She's constantly dealing with Brian's erections caused by someone else. He's only dealt with the run-off from one of her book scenes. Come on!!

I have thoroughly loved this series, both the Luke Young and Ian Dalton books. Amazeballs!! On to book 6.

I sincerely loved this book! It exceeded my expectations, in every way.

There were so many laughs. I swear, I actually laughed until I cried...more than once! But, I also gasped, swooned, panted, sighed & genuinely cared... I love these characters. I love these books. The situations are so creative & interesting. I can't believe that I actually grew to care about Natalie. That was a feat considering that I had hated her with the white hot passion of a million suns.

Luke Young, thank you so much for the hours of entertainment. You provided me with a much needed escape from reality. You are a valued public servant, IMHO. I can't wait to read what you write next! So far, you are batting 100%. I love everything you've written!

Would you believe Natalie saved this book for me?

And if you've been reading this series, you know that's saying a lot because in previous books that girl was pretty much the AntiChrist! That said, it was all a bit too much scheming and unnecessary drama for me at the start. It felt like creating trouble for trouble sake as opposed to the accidental humour that previously carried the series. But it was Natalie who saved the day for me. I loved digging into a bit more of her personality and seeing more of her than we initially did in the first few books. I'm hoping the last one will bring back the full magic! For me, this was the first book in the series that wasn't comedy gold. It was just alright.

I love, love, love this series! It is hot, sexy, and very fun. Brian and Jillian are amazing and one of my all time favorite couples. Poor Brian never seems to have any luck and is always having something extreme happen to him which is totally hilarious! Him and Jillian are trying to get pregnant and what an adventure that seems to be. They are making a movie of Jillian's book and the things involved just blow me away. Then you have Victoria and Jim and their hot romance. I can not get enough of this series and I can't wait for the next book!!!

So if it's been a while since you read the prequel and other four books in this series, it's not a problem. This book reviews what has happened in each of those stories.
This book works through some relationship challenges that Jim and Victoria come across. Jillian and Brian trying to have a baby and how it affects their sex life. And the filming of Jillian's book. There are all kinds of temptations in this book but in the end it all works out for the best...or does it?? Read it to find out what really ends up happening in these characters lives...you will be glad you did!

I love this series and was so excited to have another book to read. The author does an excellent job making the reader feel like they "know" the characters. I was disappointed that many of the bad guys got a pass on their behavior (Natalie and the actress). Didn't feel like Mr. Young's normal path for those characters. It was wonderful, however, to see Victoria become full of emotion throughout the story. Overall, I enjoyed it very much!

I have to say that I'm very happy with this book. Natalie has come so far from her beginig in this series. I thought she would never grow up, but to see her actually fall in love is priceless.

I was a little disappointed with Victoria's and Jim's relationship but it was a great save at the end.

I honestly recommend this series to everyone. It is a very unique and original series with lots of yummy sex but with a very funny and witty twist.

I can't wait for bk 6!!!!!!!

Love this series. Way too many laughs. The characters are well developed and have growth. Please read the other books in the series before this one.
Overview. Brian and Jillian are dealing with the club and the movie is taking place. Even more stressful is that Natalie is back. Plus Jillian is trying to get pregnant so more stress. Jim and Victoria are getting into the swing of things and he keeps asking her to marry him but she is still not 100% ready.

Fraught with endless adventures!

What I love about this series is the abundance of laughs I get from some of the scrapes this foursome gets into! If you never read any more of the book, you must read the chapter where these couples play a game involving stripping. I almost choked with laughter. While not every part of the book makes you wanna laugh that hard, the story as a whole is quirky and enjoyable.

Good story!

The characters interactions are hilarious. Lots of surprising twists in the story that keeps you wondering what comes next. I'm looking forward to another book to see where these quirky relationships evolve. A fun series that you'll enjoy that's written by a man who writes like a woman. I love it.

I both loved and hated some things about this book. I love that Jim ended up with Victoria because I never cared for Caroline but I hated the news that Brian and Jillian got at the end and then nothing......story over. What about Rob and Bridget?? I mean I enjoyed reading it but really.....it felt unfinished to me. I wanted more.

I REALLY enjoyed this series. I was afraid it was going to be geared to a younger crowd only but it wasn't. The two main characters start out in their late 30's and you have you mix of younger cast. I thought the books, all of them in the series were so funny. It was a sexual comedy. It was a great light hearted laugh out loud read.

I'm so late reviewing this but here it is! I feel the story is more in depth than ever and we're only getting started. Jillian and Brian will have their hands full. I kind of grew a heart for Natalie, she started out on her crazy way of stalking people but now she has the man of her dreams. I really wish there was a movie based on this series because I'd be the number one fan, no the president!

This is another laugh out loud, funny, hit out of the ballpark book. In this book Victoria and Jim are so happy, but Jillian and Brian are on an emotional up-and-down roller-coaster. Mr. Young's storyline just gets better and better. I will never look at the Scrabble game the same way again. On to the next book.

Last Third Rocked

The story line continues but for me, the first 2/3 of the book seemed somewhat disjointed. I felt that the author was trying to chase too many plots. However, the last third of the book pulled everything together and finished strong, strong enough for me to continue to the next book in the series.

I do recommend this series for books 1 and 2 and some of book 3 - but then it got progressively weaker. I loved the characters so much that I had to give book 5 a try - but although not horrible, it's definitely the weakest of the bunch.
