“This indispensable reference has...up-to-the-minute designer patterns.”--Family Circle Homecrafts.
“The ultimate reference guide.”--House & Garden Magazine.
Vogue Knitting is SoHo Publishing's flagship title. Launched over twenty-five years ago, VK has set the bar for knitting, working with the biggest and most talented names in fashion today, including Michael Kors and Anna Sui. Led by Editor Trisha Malcolm, VK is published quarterly.
Penultimate, perhaps, and a pretty reliable reference nonetheless. Chapters include History of Knitting, Knitting Supplies, Basic Techniques, Understanding Knitting Instructions, Correcting Errors, Circular and Double-Pointed Knitting, Color Kniting, Blocking-Assembling & Finishing, Care of Knitwear, Stitch Dictionary, Designing, Embellishments, Modular Knitting Patterns, and Traditional Knitting Patterns. Darned near everything is covered in general, with some of the clearest photos you'll find anywhere. It's a must-have for anyone in the beginning stages of advanced knitwear design.
I'm using this book for the Master Knitter program, and I have to say, out of all of my reference books, this is the one I use them most. If you're only going to buy one, this is the one.
