This is a new author to me. She has only been writing since 2023 and only has 6 total books out. Researched her a bit and it said she was steamy so thought I’d check her out.

I'm not sure how I feel about this book. I enjoyed reading Emma and Sin. Certain sections gave me a little bit of a Fifty Shades vibe. He was written so matter of fact and determined after 7 nights they were done and then all of a sudden he couldn't lose her. I just felt Loretta didn't write enough internal dialog for him. It was hard to know what he was thinking or feeling. Even his interactions with his sister you had no idea what he was thinking. He was a hard ass then he wasn't. I read a lot of books where the guys are like that but at least you get more of that internal dialog and can understand his change in emotions. We never really knew his feelings until towards the end. Emma I feel was written a bit better. I think because she had more personality so you could get her vibe more so than Sin. Like I said, I'm not sure if I liked this book a little or just so so.

I am curious about book 2 so going to read that one.

Loretta Levine is a new to me author

I just finished the book Seven Nights with the Duke and I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I first found the link in Facebook to learn about the book’s description and after reading the description I really believed that this would be a really great book for me and a story line I would thoroughly enjoy. Even though I hadn’t read any other book by Loretta, I wanted to take a chance and I’m glad I did. It was a book that once I started I had to finish and not read any other books, which I have done in the past. I really did enjoy this book as it had Great characters with Edward being the Duke and Emma the lady that he gives the option of spending the Seven nights with him to receive her inheritance back. But only if she went along with being with him the Seven nights and then they will go their separate ways. This book has a Cinderella feel to it, as Emma has some relatives due to her father’s death that she is is forced to live with and go by their rules. I love stories about rogue Dukes and as you read further into the book you understand why he only wants to spend only Seven nights with women, that is until he met Emma. I will definitely be checking more books by this author! The descriptions of all of the characters plus the clothes they wore was really something I enjoy also. 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for this book! And also there is a great Epilogue and an option for getting the second Epilogue which is so worth it. I loved the cover of the book also.

Wow
This story is not typical and definitely takes a sinister turn at the end!
Emma is an orphan? Under her evil aunt rule along with Dorothy equally vile cousin!
Sinclair the Duke aka Edward makes an arrangement of 7 nights spent with him to reclaim property her loathsome cousin Harry has gambled away!
Women can not normally make a decent marriage without a dowry and the castle is Emma’s dowry!
Harry starts proclaiming he’s marrying Emma and now Emma has to focus on her future!
She has feelings for Sin Aka Edward as she seems glimpses into his childhood trauma and pain!
His sister Helena returns and this also opens up ports of vulnerability in his armor!
But someone viciously attacks Edward and a knife wound could take his life!
Who would do such a thing!? Edward has a choice to renounce his vow to never marry and embrace a future with Emma!
But what if the Villain is not done and Emma’s father also wasn’t an accident!
Definitely an emotional roller coaster and Bravo for my first read and purchase!

Fun adventure

This was my first book by this author. Overall, it was a good read. There was angst, passion, and intrigue. At first, things were really fast paced and moved right along. A little over halfway through, things seemed to slow down a bit and then by the end, it was flying. The pacing threw me for a bit, so that was the hardest part of the story.
Overall, the story was interesting and fun. I liked Edward and his complex background. I liked it enough to look for the next book and see what happens to the other characters.

Not amazing, but not terrible

Honestly, not the best book I've read. It felt like the author was plucking bits from Bridgerton and Pride & Prejudice and didn't really make anything unique.
The writing felt basic. Though it was technically all proper grammer and punctuation, it didn't feel creative.
This had a lot of potential, and it wasn't bad enough that I couldn't finish it. I would like to see where this author ends up in the future, given time to develop their skills.

Seven nights of bliss

Who would not want to spend seven nights with a tall, fit, handsome man? This book gets my vote. It had a bit everything, romance, a little naughty sex, love, friendship, cloak and dagger mystery, attempted murder and family hatred. My goodness, is there anything left. More, I say!!!!

Excellent Romance

I loved Emma's character! My heart felt for her loss, but her bravery made me happy. No wilting flower! Edward and Helena were horribly treated as children and I hoped they would find happiness! Loved the story and was pleasantly surprised with the ending. A good read! Couldn't put it down.

Marvelous story

Excellent Story!

It had just the right amount of action, intrigue and romance. I rated this book a five and would recommend it to those romantics at heart.

The only thing that I would change in this book is make the epilogue the last chapter of the book and make the extended epilogue the epilogue.

I thought I was getting the book but it turned out to be only a sample. So, it was a bit disappointing. But, it was interesting enough to have me looking for the full book. It’s the typical Victorian story with the “plain” girl who accidentally catches the dukes eye with fireworks between them. So….

Seven nights?

An interesting tale of a very mistreated lady who is determined to find a suitor before the season ends. And our hero is warped by a cruel father and a mother who was too engrossed in society. But the ending is worth the story!

a little choppy and lots of loose ends

There were a lot of things going on that kept the action going, but really choppy going from one situation to another. Also read sometimes like a Jane Austin novel, then an exotica novel. Talk about whiplash!

Good plot, but wraps up too quickly

I enjoyed the plot and the characters stories, but most of the story was a build up to some dramatic finish and then it just kind of ends. The epilogue helped wrap things up, but there really should have been more time spent on the ending.

loved it

I definitely read this book in 2 days and that’s how good it was it. I love the tension between our main characters. The steam was the right amount. My only issue is the ending, it felt rushed and needed to be more fleshed out.

The title and photo on this book is so much more interesting than what is inside. I cannot understand why this is highly rated? This was so elementary with shallow writing. SMH.

An enjoyable book. It has romance, suspense, hardship, sex, a brooding hero, a damsel in distress, love, friendship, villains. The characters grow on you. What else do you need to escape?!

Spicy good storytelling

Engaging plot with a few twists. Enjoyable characters. The hero’s you cheer and cry for and the villains you love to hate!

Rules are meant to be broken

This was a steamy regency romance with a touch of intrigue and danger, that well may keep you guessing right to the end. (I had a hunch well before that 😉). But alls well that ends well.

I really enjoyed the dynamics between Edward and Emma and how they learnt to grow and trust. My heart kinda broke a little to hear how sad Edward and Helena’s upbringing was but that you can also rise above it and become a better person for your experience.

Despite the obstacles in their way, love had a way of bringing them together again when all felt lost.

Well worth the read, even though there were a few typos.
