This book may get upgraded to 5 stars when I actually begin to play around with fusing glass, for now I'll hold it to an enthusiastic 4. Besides the seemingly clear instructions for projects, there is a really great chapter on how to set up and fire the kiln. The Firing Schedule charts on page 34 look particularly helpful. The book is set up with a series of projects that increase in difficulty. The back contains patterns to create the sample projects. Looking forward to beginning a new art adventure & I think this book will be quite helpful!

Good First Step

This starts at the beginning explaining different types of glass and tools yet also has the depth to cover kiln operations. It has some helpful-looking practice cutting exercises. But the strongest section is its step by step illustrations for how to do 19 different types of projects. These were inspiring yet seem doable.

Very informative

Enjoyable experience. Clear directions and many examples shows finished projects and provides challenges . would like to add paper back copy to my library.
