Ezra’s voice flows through my in-ear monitors, and I smile. Here, right now, my soul is happy. I open my eyes to watch him, in constant amazement of his talent, beauty and confidence. We’re on this stage, playing in front of thousands of fans, and my attention is only on him. Music and Ezra, what more do I need?

i can't explain in the right words how excited i am to be back with ezra and harley again. after the ending of the first book, my heart was broken for them. they found success as a rock band quickly but found themselves in a situation they had no control over and now they're forced to hide their true selves. y'all don't even know how heartbroken i was for harley. he finally had a fleeting moment where he could be himself and love who he wanted, but then it all got ripped away from him. to say i was heartbroken would be an understatement. so now they are trapped and this book focuses on that, and how the are trying to work through all the pressure and fame. i knew this book was going to be hella emotional and it was. it had me teary eyed multiple times.

❝What’s ours doesn’t belong to anyone else. And no one will take it from us.❞

my favorite thing about this series is that despite all the obstacles ezra and harley (and the rest of the band) face, their love for each other is unwavering. they never considered breaking up or taking time from each other in anyway. and i just gotta say, i absolutely loved that. they are the type of couple to miss each other even when they're in the same room bc they are so in love 🥹 and after their band managers manipulating them and continuing to do so, they still remain determined to find a way out so they can love each other proudly and freely. the healthy communication in the first book was also carried over to this book too. they constantly talk to each other about their feelings and struggles, and are always comforting each other. it's like they're on the same wavelength bc they can immediately recognize when the other needs comforting, and they can sense when the other one is experiencing anxiety.

❝I love you. I love myself. I love us.❞

these characters have a special place in my heart. so much so that when they’re happy i'm happy, when they’re sad, i'm sad, when they laugh, i laugh 🥹 harley is constantly being put into situations he doesn't deserve and wants nothing to do with and because of that, the anxiety he is experiencing is higher than ever. he feels like he's a burden to his other bandmates and he doesn't want to put his struggles onto them. his character was just so relatable and he was so selfless. but of course, bc of the amazing characters ezra, ollie, and callum are, they would never let him think that he's a burden and no matter what it is, they will always be there for him. everyone needs an ezra in their life, he is so understanding, patient, and encouraging towards harley. the perfect boyfriend. and the found family vibes of this series are top tier.

I can’t help but return his smile. Every time I am thrown into this deep, dark hole, where I feel trapped and helpless, it’s his bright smile and sparkling eyes that give me the strength to crawl out and keep going.

i loved how this book delves into the topics of people who are in the public eye and how they are treated by their managers/interviewers/coworkers etc. it's honestly so heartbreaking how people who interview artists ask about their love/personal life rather than their music, bc that's why they are there for in the first place! and all the PR stunts that artists are forced to go through to "appease" their audience and their label when they really don't want to do it. it's all really horrible and disturbing. this is all explored in this book and i loved that we got their rise to fame but also the journey of them when they are famous too.

i loved this book but not as much as the first. my love was already established for ezra/harley is the first chapters of Silhouette so i could literally read anything about them. this book was wayyyy more spicy than the first book. like as in they are more scenes, and they're having sex on tour busses, on the bathroom counter, lots of different places....i loved it don't get more wrong, but there was A LOT which tends to take me out of the story a bit. but i didn't mind too much bc each of the sex scenes were different and i just love harley/ezra so much. i really just wanted to get along with the plot which does happen but some parts felt a tiny bit dragged and the same things were happening again and again plot wise. i felt a little bored here and there, but how the plot was moving and what was happening felt necessary for the story once you get to the end and what leads up to the ending. this does leave us off in a cliffhanger but it's a hopeful one. and of course, ezra and harley are stronger than ever. i need my babies to have their HEA already 🥺

what to expect:
🎵 rockstars
💙 found family
🎵 hurt/comfort
💙 angst (definitely more emotional than the first book)
🎵 characters you will want to protect for forever 🥺
💙 spicy spicyyyy
🎵 established couple
💙 praise kink
🎵 secret relationship
💙 cliffhanger ending (but a hopeful one)

i received an arc from the author and this is my honest review.

Details is a fantastic rockstar romance between Harley and Ezra. Their story continues with their struggle and attempts at maintaining autonomy within their relationship. The main conflict in this story definitely takes its toll on the well-being of these two and their bandmates. I felt so many emotions while reading about their stress and heartbreak at having to hide their love for one another.

Details is a wonderful story depicting how devoted Harley and Ezra are for one another and the mutual care and affection their bandmates, Ollie and Callum have for their friends. This is such an emotional story that had me gripped from the beginning and anxiously waiting for the third and final installment of their story.

Overall such a great story that had me in my feels throughout most of it. I cannot wait to see where Harley and Ezra end up and I love how everyone is rooting for their HEA.

Second read through: Harley and Ezra are everything. I love these two sooooo much! I’m so excited to be reading through this series again. Absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a trilogy following the same couple! Can’t wait to reread book 3!

I have been waiting for this book ever since I finished the last word in book 1. This is the second book in a trilogy following Harley and Ezra as they navigate a relationship they need to keep secret while going on tour! You absolutely must read book 1 before this one or you will be lost! I highly recommend this series so far as both books are absolutely amazing and I can’t wait for book 3!

This book has so many different things happening and we see a lot of cute, fun times but also a lot of tough times that show the life of rockstars is not always easy! This book is quite angsty but all with outside influences. The relationship between Harley and Ezra is rock solid. It was refreshing to see how strong their relationship is even when going through the things that they do.

This book hit me very hard. As someone who struggles with anxiety I can always relate when I read a book that has an MC with anxiety. However, this the first book where I felt like the author went into my head and plucked out my own thoughts and feelings. In my experiences at least Eve Holmes was spot on in her portrayal of anxiety and she had me in tears hurting for Harley!

This book also ends on a cliffhanger and again it’s not a terrible one, however, I want to read book 3 immediately!!! We get some hope at the end of this book that maybe things will work out ok for them and I want to see that so badly. I want nothing more than happiness for Harley and Ezra (and Callum and Ollie too of course)! Definitely make sure to check out the bonus scenes for a fun adventure from Callum’s POV and more love between Harley and Ezra!

“Secrets that are just for us
And my eyes will always find you
The light in my dark room
It’s you, I always knew
It’s our love to get us through
Our details, I belong to you”

In the Author's Note for Details Eva Holmes stated that while the story is set in the music industry, the main focus of Songs of Freedom centers on the relationship between Ezra and Harley, and how their management and public relations team seems hell-bent on keeping them apart in the public's eye. I understand also that 'creative liberties' have also been made 'with the context of the music world', which I realize now, should have made the story a little more tolerable for me. If perhaps I had known beforehand about that, I may have reconsidered reading this, because it just seems so much angst, simply based on an implausible and unrealistic premise.

For it was truly appalling at how blatantly homophobic and controlling, all members of their management team is treating them, but, surprisingly, not one of the band members of Send Help has considered even hiring a lawyer or getting outside help to get them out of their legal contracts that bind them to their terms and agreement. Rather, the two of them continue to spiral into the depths of depression and helplessness, because all they want is to be publicly together, but they can't. In turn, jeopardizing not only their mental health, but their musical aspirations and the passion they used to have doing the one thing they loved to do. ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹

“And with every new experience we have, I have to remind myself that it’s real. I’m still waiting for the day I wake up and realize it was all a dream, or it all falls apart. But it hasn’t happened yet. And until it does, I never want to take any of these opportunities for granted.”

Harley was the epicenter for unexpected challenges that made it painful to stomach and comprehend as to why. I understand about his father being a world-class jerk, and it hurt to see that he wasn't still free of his torment and abuse. 😟 Seeing him in despair and struggling mentally due to the constant attacks and demands of his social life was very realistically captured. What I couldn't fathom, makes it harder for me to empathize with Harley's pains; not to say that they were not justified, but... His panic attacks and fears were portrayed well, and I liked how much Ezra was their to be a beacon of strength and resilience. No matter how hard he wanted to drown in the darkness, Ezra was by his side to pull him out. 🥺

“You know you don’t ever have to apologize to me for feeling whatever you feel. I hate that I couldn’t be there for you tonight. But I’m here for you now, and I want to be.”

Not to say that Ezra was off-the-hook either; mentally, he may have been slight better off, but he was a lot more grounded, which I liked. He never lost focus, he never once wavered in his determination to try to see logic and sense into what was happening. Even with the ridiculous fake-dating setups he was led to make, even with the pressures of secret identities, he was still steadfast in his love for Harley. 🤍🤍 There were some very sweet and adorable moments between the two; I enjoyed Harley's visit to Ezra's family home, their little secret escape in disguise, the few record sessions where they confessed their innermost desires to each other. 🥹🥹 They deserved more happy times together and it was terrible that they weren't allowed or even permitted the freedom that was rightfully theirs.

“I love you.”

“There is nothing better in this world than hearing that from you. I love your love, babe. I’m here for it all. The good, the bad, the panic, the sadness… I promise.”

A couple of my qualms with the writing were that it could have benefited from a few more major editing twerks; if I read a sentence about someone's 'green emerald eyes', I'm going to scratch my head. As much as I appreciated how adventurous and more appreciative and welcoming, Ezra and Harley's time in the bedroom increased and improved, I still feel very detached to it. There's something a little clinical and mechanical about the imagery that doesn't allow me to get lost in their passion. 😔

Even though, it took till the end of the story for Ollie and Callum to vocally express their disapproval towards their higher-ups, I appreciated all the comfort and support they provided the pair of them, throughout. It still feels rather tasteless and baseless to understand why their reps are so particularly keen on stating again and again that Harley and Ezra being together is a bad image for them, when there are instances where the band does see that the fans don't seem to mind that they could be together. 😞 There are so many contradictory observations that I wish I could send help to them, so they can find a way out of the bind they're in. And seeing how the book ends with an ultimatum, I wonder how they'll be able to burn hot when their fight for their freedom concludes in Remastered.

Guys, this was so sad 😭

Baby boy Harley and Ezra are having the worst time ever. Alongside Callum and Ollie they have realized it was not all as they had thought, and things seemed to be getting harder and harder for them all.

This book was very depressing, the Send help boys are really struggling and it all seems bleak. Fortunately, it ends in a sort of hopeful vibe, now to see best happens next.

The book hangover is so real right now. First of all, this series is making it into my top 10 of the year, and I can already say that Harley and Ezra will be a forever favorite couple of mine.

I am still on the struggle bus of trying to articulate all of my feelings toward this wonderful book. I've been a mess for days...ever since I finished reading it, I have been thinking about these guys nonstop. I just freaking adore them! 🥺

When I said that we could look forward to seeing them fight for their HEA in my review for Silhouette, I really underestimated the absolute battle these sweet souls were going to endure. Details hits the ground running with the boys being on tour with their rapidly growing popularity being their biggest blessing and one of their most challenging experiences. They are faced with hurdles and road blocks at every turn from their PR team and management; being asked to hide their relationship is hard enough as it is, but the extreme lengths that the ones on top go to in order to maintain a certain image are borderline abusive.
Ezra is pushed to his far limits in keeping it together and being the pillar of strength and calm for Harley. His never-ending compassion really is a beacon of light in the creeping darkness that's trying to take Harley down. Poor Harley is constantly taking one step forward just to be shoved two steps back. His anxiety is forced to an all time high and the effects become debilitating. But, even with all of the push and pull, these two are steadfast and the love they have for one another is what dreams are made of. Oh, and let's not forget about the spice, the dirty talk is 🔥🥵...and the van, bathroom counter, and hotel window scenes have been on replay in my head. 😏

The found family aspect of this series is one of my favorite things. Ollie is still so loveable and hilarious, but he also shows how understanding he truly is of his friends and how deep he cares about all of them, including his girls, Lulu and Hannah. 🥰 Callum really captured my heart here in Details. He steps up to the plate as sort of the lead, and tries so hard to help find compromises and solutions to help keep everyone as happy and healthy as possible. Also, don't mess with his family, Callum doesn't play games! 😈

Whoo! You made it to the end of my ranting review. Lol! Thank you for taking the time to humor me. I hope you pick these books up asap if you haven't already, and I'd love to hear what you think of them!

*I received this book as an ARC, this is my 100% honest opinion*

Details by Eve Holmes is book 2 in the Songs of Freedom series.

I thought Silhouette, book 1 in the series, was an excellent book. For me, Details is a step up from the first. Wow! I'm so impressed by Eve Holmes writing, which I feel has progressed in the way she delivers her story and lets us experience her characters' emotions.

Details picks up exactly where Silhouette left off with Harley, Ezra, Callum and Ollie, who were catapulted into rock stardom virtually overnight. We saw them navigate through this new reality in which their image and who they really are were constantly at odds. I really liked the way the author brought to life the flip side of fame and how it affected the lives of the members of Send Help.

Ezra and Harley were particularly put to the test and it was painful to watch them deal with it all. Harley...it broke my heart to witness what he went through as his anxiety gradually took control of him. It took me back to my own episodes of anxiety and everything Eve described through Harley was so accurate and a perfect reflection of how one feels in such a state. That feeling of doom hovering over us. I get chills thinking about it. She absolutely nailed it.

Luckily, the whole thing was also punctuated by softer, lighter moments. The love between Harley and Ezra was so precious. Some of their intimate scenes were breathtaking, others filled with passion. One scene in particular, where Ezra has Harley repeat certain things, left me breathless. It was a scene so full of love and intimacy, I almost felt like I was violating that very personal moment.

Ollie was also there to provide a much-needed dose of lightheartedness.

I really like these four guys and can't wait to see them finally reach a place of well-being. Because the end of Details left me heartbroken and yet with a glimmer of hope.

Continued directly from the first book so it's a bit hard to separate them but again the living with anxiety part got me the most. Particularly for someone like Harley to be where he is, getting famous super fast while barely getting used to having friends around him is a super hard transtion.

Problem is there isnt much story in this book. It just focused on Harley's anxiety, which good, and realistic I think but I feel like there should be at least some storyline aotjer than mental health problems of one of the MCs.Made it a bit boring and repetative towards the end.

Ollie is the just the cutest though. I wish he had a book. Maybe he would at some point but not sure if I'll remember him by then.

As I look at him now, thinking about how far we’ve come and everything we still have to face, my love for him is overwhelming.

I just finished Details by the fabulous Eve Holmes, and it's seriously AMAZING!!

The upcoming follow-up to Silhouette releases on August 24th, and you need to read it! Harley and Ezra are one of my favourite couples, and believe me when I say, these two are being put through it in The Songs of Freedom series, but the love they have for each other is just beautiful; it never wavers.

Harley and Ezra have shot to fame with their band, Send Help, almost overnight, and everything should be a dream for them. Unfortunately, it's a nightmare with their record company boss and PR team trying to keep them apart and keeping their relationship secret.

Poor Harley, especially, suffers from anxiety and panic attacks, so his mental health is badly affected. Meanwhile, Ezra is trying to stay strong for both of them... these boys just deserve all the love!

However, they make the best of their time together, and these boys definitely BURN HOT!!! 🔥🔥🔥

Elsewhere, their bandmates, Callum and Ollie, support them; each guy in this band is wonderful... but Ollie wins my heart because he's just so sweet and freaking hilarious 🤣🤣🤣 Spreadsheets, Ollie 🤣😂

I just love this series and these characters, I can't wait for more! Don't miss it on August 24th! 💙

4.5 ⭐️

Details is the second book in the Songs of Freedom series by Eve Holmes. When I read Silhouette (book 1) a couple of months ago, I was amazed by how unique and heartfelt the story was knowing it was the author’s first book. Details is just as amazing, and reached me on an emotional level I did not expect.

Silhouette ended somewhat on a cliffhanger where we learned that the label tricked Send Help (the band) into signing a four year contract with them that basically gives them total control over their lives. To say I HATE the label head and the members of the PR team is an understatement. Thank you loverexreads for listening to me rant.

In this second book, we see how this impacts each band member, but especially our beloved Ezra and Harley. My heart honestly broke for Harley with him finding himself once again in a position where he has no control over his life, no freedom, just like it was when he lived with his abusive father. Ezra was his rock the whole time, but their situation took it’s toll on him too.

A wave of sadness rushes over me at that thought. I do love this job. And as fun as creating music and playing for sold out stadiums every night is, I love Ezra more. All the hard parts of this, having to hide and only take fleeting moments with him, doesn’t feel worth it all to me.

I LOVE how the author wrote their relationship. They never waver in their love for each other. I appreciated how they always communicated openly, and did little check-ins to make sure they were okay. Their love story is beautiful, heartbreaking and full of possibility.

I take a moment to appreciate him, and how amazing he is. How he always checks in with me when he knows I’m anxious, and immediately makes me feel better. “I love you,” I say through a smile.

Details once again ended on a cliffhanger, but I love how Eve gave us hope that they will find a way out of this in the next and final book.

”I want you to love yourself, just as much as I love you.”

4.5🌟 3.5🌶️

what to expect:
- book 2 in a trilogy
- mm romance
- rockstars/ bandmates
- secretive relationship

Details is book 2 of the Songs of Freedom series following Ezra and Harley. You must read book 1, Silhouette, before starting Details as this is the continuation of Ezra and Harley’s story.

This book absolutely wrecked me. Going into this trilogy I knew Ezra and Harley were going to have to go through hard times before they get a HEA but it still hurt! Picking up right where Silhouette had left off, Ezra and Harley are on tour and having to hide their relationship. Their label does not want them coming out and due to the contract they signed, there is nothing they can do but follow along. At times it was so heartbreaking having to watch the guys pretend that they aren’t in love with each other and having their PR time try to pull them apart.

One thing I loved about this book, is even though they have to be secretive of their relationship, the love that Ez and Harley have for each other never fades, it only grows stronger.

Although this book broke my heart, it also had its light hearted and funny moments (shoutout to Ollie). i’m beyond excited for the last book to come out later this year 🫶🏼

4.25 Pop/rock boy band is out on the road and touring in this second book of a trilogy. The series is about the same main couple as they try and persevere through fame and the demands of their record label. They have some lovely friends that add a wonderful layer of caring and fun, but this is mega angst.

The road to stardom is a rocky one and being in a relationship adds another layer of complications. There is lots of angst that these fellas suffer through at the hands of manipulative adults that do not have their best interest at heart. I can’t wait for the band to realize who holds the power here.

Keep reminding yourself that these are very young men. This style of angst and uncertainty only works because these guys are 19/20 years old. No way would the record label get away with this with more self assured or world weary talent. I can’t even count how many times I’ve screamed at them to get a manager already, but I figure they’re clueless about the industry? The author does a great job of building up the bad guys though, I wanna see them all burn.

College aged, music, band, anxiety, contemporary, series, m/m, cliffhanger, HFN, bi-awakening, high spice.

Details is book 2 of the Songs of Freedom series and I won’t lie it was a tough book to read. The situation Harley and Ezra are in is a horrible one. I’m glad they have Callum and Ollie to lighten the mood, especially Ollie because he’s hilarious. Thankfully Details ends on a hopeful note and I can’t wait to see what happens in book 3!

WOW! The incredible amount of angst, anxiety and emotional turmoil that is contained in this part of Harley and Ezra’s story, had my heart in a vice and was continually squeezing it and squeezing it until it was on the verge of exploding. I was on the edge of my seat throughout, with tears dripping off my face and hoping desperately that Harley doesn’t end up having a mental breakdown or something more serious happens to him.

These two amazing and such loving men are put through hell, which continually wreaks havoc on their physical and emotional wellbeing’s. To see Harley and Ezra (and the rest of their band) struggle with everything that the management/PR company keeps putting them through just broke my heart. Their everyday struggles were real and gut-wrenching and I couldn’t imagine being in the spotlight and having to constantly hide who I really am.

I must say that Ollie and Callum are the light to Harley and Ezra’s darkness and without them, things were sure to get even messier. In between all the heartache, they squeezed in some adorable and silly moments.

The growth of Harley and Ezra’s relationship was plain to see. They have such an amazing connection, and they help each other immensely deal with their anxiety and pain. The love they share is just incredible and had my heart soaring for them both. But let me tell you that there were also many deliciously steamy moments between Harley and Ezra and I may have needed to take a few cold showers just to cool off a bit. It was HOT!!

“As I look at him now, thinking about how far we’ve come and everything we still have to face, my love for him is overwhelming.”

There were times when I found myself so angry at the abuse all four of them go through by those that are supposed to be looking out for them. It made me so angry I wanted to punch something. I honestly can’t wait to see these boys kick some ass in the next book.

Such fantastic writing that was filled with intense and poignant words that had me hurting deeply for these incredible men. They deserve all their success and an amazing happy ever after.

I can’t wait to see what happens in the next part of their story.

Details” is the second book of Harley and Ezra’s story. This is not a standalone and does end on a cliffhanger.

Our boys from Send Help are back and now on tour. It’s been a whirlwind of a ride from playing together in Ollie’s garage to signing with a record label and now performing in front of thousands. However, they soon learn that living your dreams comes with its challenges.

As Ezra and Harley learn to navigate fame and try to make time for each other, it’s been a constant battle with their record label and what they deem “acceptable” in the eye of the public. Harley has been fighting his inner demons due to years of abuse from his father telling him he’s worthless and unwanted just because of who he loves. Ezra is the light Harley needs to help him defeat the darkness, but with each step forward there’s been a thousand steps back. Our sweet Ezra has been doing everything he can to keep that light in Harley’s eyes, but he only has so much strength himself.

“𝙄 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪. 𝙄 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙢𝙮𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙛. 𝙄 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙪𝙨.”

While their tour is filled with stolen moments (and let me tell you, these moments are sweet and so spicy), new experiences, and music, the weight being a rockstar has been drowning Harley. As the battle for freedom continues, will they ever be able to declare victory? We’ll have to read and see in Book 3!

“𝙒𝙚 𝙬𝙤𝙣’𝙩 𝙡𝙚𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙢 𝙬𝙞𝙣, 𝙃𝙖𝙧𝙡𝙚𝙮. 𝙏𝙝𝙚𝙮 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙣𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙗𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙠 𝙪𝙨.”

I love this series so much, and can’t wait to read the final book in November. These boys have been through the wringer, and deserve all the happiness. I love seeing the friendships grow between the gang. From Callum’s protectiveness, Ollie’s golden retriever attitude, Harley’s love, and Ezra’s strength and determination. These boys have my heart and I can’t wait to see Harley break down his walls and show everyone who he truly is.

Thank you so much Eve for the ARC copy! Can’t wait for Book 3!

𝗔𝗥𝗖 𝗥𝗘𝗩𝗜𝗘𝗪

This is the second instalment from the Songs of Freedom series & in this book we get to see Ezra & Harley struggle with hiding their relationship from the media & constant monitoring from their management & PR team.

I love Ezra & Harley so much, and my heart hurts for them going through these struggles they are facing from their management. I have always loved how Ezra has always been there for Harley when he struggled with his anxiety but I loved how the author has also brought to us Ezra's struggles about how he can't see Harley be so void of emotions which breaks his heart & his constant struggle to be strong for Harley & give him hope about this situation they are in.

This book was so amazingly written in every aspect, from mentioning Harley's anxiety to them fighting back to get their freedom, I loved it so much. Also, I loved Ollie, Callum, LuLu & Hannah, and how they supported them & had their backs. And Ollie is my favourite character, he just won my heart because he was not only funny but he was also thoughtful at times & cared for his friends. And damn he was going through his reading phases which was fun to read.

The sexual chemistry between Harley & Ezra was amazing as always & the dirty mouth on them gahhhh I loved it so much. There were also some vulnerable moments during them but they got through it.

Harley & Ezra are the strongest characters and I am so looking forward to the third instalment of this series, I am looking forward to reading how they get their HEA because damn the cliffhanger is killing me. But I know it's going to be the best one so I am going to wait, till then I recommend checking this series out.

* I received an ARC copy from the author and this is my honest review *

This is book 2 in the series, and book 1 has to be read in order to understand what's going on.

My heart broke for poor Harley in this one repeatedly! And Ezra's strength and love to hold everyone together is exactly what I want in a good hurt/comfort book!

The guys are on tour for their first album, and things haven't been going their way. Being trapped in a contract that limits their freedom and lives has Harley slowly spiraling. Ezra is there every step of the way to support Harley and show him that their love is stronger than everything else going on around them.

One of the things I absolutely LOVE in this series is how Harley goes from shy and timid to confident and in control in the bedroom! He has a bit of a dirt mouth on him, but it gives you a glimpse of the man he truly is! The way Ezra just melts under Harleys control is just 🥵🥵

Harley struggles mentally a lot due to his past and what he is currently being forced to not do/be. His axiety hits an all-time high, and he ends up dissociating himself a few times, and it crushed my heart every, single, time! Ezra tries to help him, but he's also trying to hold everyone else together as well.

Everything is stacking up against the guys, and they all start to lose their fire...or so it seems. But you'll just have to read it to know what I'm talking about! Book 3 will be out in November, and I can't wait to see how these guys get their fire back and BURN HOT!!

Details is book two in the Songs of Freedom series and cannot be read as standalone.

When we left Harley and Ezra in book one, they had just realized the contract they signed with their record label was not as great as they thought. In fact, it was the exact opposite which becomes more evident in book two.

My heart really hurt for Harley and what the label continued to put him through. There were times where I wanted to throw my kindle at the wall because they were so insensitive to his feelings & anxiety.

I'm so happy he had Ezra who was the most supportive, patient and kind boyfriend in the world. Ezra managed to stay strong for Harley, even though the things the label was doing were hurting him too. My heart for both of them really.

There were some happy moments throughout the book. I loved how the love between Harley and Ezra continued to strengthen. They constantly communicated with each other which I really enjoyed. The spice was also so good. Harley has such a dirty mouth.

Callum and Ollie, their bandmates, continued to be supportive as well. I loved hearing about Ollie's reading journey, it provided much needed comic relief.

Book two ends on somewhat of a cliffhanger. With the way it ended though, I'm hopeful they'll be able to get out of their contract in book three and take their lives back.

As always, check TWs as this book contains some heavy themes.
Thank you to Eve Holmes for sending me the arc!

I will start by saying this does end on a little cliffhanger, just like book 1 Silhouette but not the kind that will make you want to scream. You will need to read book 1 to be able to fully enjoy and understand Details.

This book was an emotionally filled rollercoaster of a ride. Harley and Ezra are definitely pushed to the limits when it comes to dealing with what their PR team and upper management do to hide their relationship. Callum and Ollie are also affected by it because they are family. This tour definitely puts a lot of stress, physical and emotional, on the guys. I absolutely loved seeing Harley and Ezra continue to support each other and stand strong in their relationship together. But seeing their friends, Ezra's parents, and other members of their tour crew help and support them was wonderful. Seeing Harley going through all the anxiety brought on by the record label just to present an image they feel better represents the band breaks my heart. But it also brings Ezra to the edge because he will do anything to protect Harley. This was hard at times to read, but Eve does a brilliant job putting you right into the intensity of these moments. I love the sweet moments they share despite not being able to allow the world to see how much they love each other.

Be prepared for some tears, laughter, swoon worthy moments, and plenty of heat between Harley and Ezra. Oh, we can't forget anger towards the ones who think they know best and are trying to help. When really it is all about their own greed.
I can't wait to get my hands on book 3 to see how it all turns out for Harley, Ezra, Callum, and Ollie.

I received an advance review copy, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This was a way better read for me than book 1 and I'm so happy about that. The boys were firmly in the middle of their tour and the chaos of all the media interviews, photo shoots and required appearances along with performing their concerts just made it clear they were thrown in the deep end and unprepared. I think because of this I was able to set aside any misgivings I had from the first book about the probability of that tour happening so quickly in the first place.

Harley and Ezra were now a committed loving couple who actually communicated very well with each other. The depth of their emotions and the level of support they gave each other made their relationship seem like they'd been together for years instead of months. Harley's panic attacks were painful to read about but thankfully Ezra was right there for him during the worst of it. As were their friends.

The supporting characters were just as enjoyable and lovable in this book, and it was great to see how close everyone had become. They needed it just to survive the hell that their asshole PR team was putting them through. All I can say is I hope karma is a real bitch in book 3. Looking forward to reading the conclusion next :)

There aren't words in this world that are strong enough to represent the feelings I have for this man. I would do anything for him. To love him, protect him, and keep him as mine forever.

After being put through the ringer with the first book in the trilogy, I was desperate to get back to Ezra and Harley and their unfortunate dilemma. The first book I thought was pretty angsty and painful, but this one was utterly heartbreaking and was not an easy read by any means. Mental health plays a big role in Harley's life, with anxiety and panic attacks ruling his everyday life, making the situation between him and Ezra that much harder. The strength they have together and the love and passion they cannot deny but must keep secret is so beautiful and raw and makes my eyes well up in emotions. The spice, the realness and the sweet cameos from Ollie and Callum round this book out perfectly and I cannot wait to see how everything plays out in the final book in the trilogy!

Details is the second book in the Songs of Freedom triology (Silhouette – Details - Remastered).
I cant believe I waited so long to read Details. This won´t happen again with the next – I´ve already started Remastered.
(Maybe spoilers)
Ezra and Harley have to pretend to be just bandmates and friends while on tour with their band. Their management wont allow them to be open together and they do everything to stop them from spending time together at all.
The price they are paying for the rockstar world experience is starting to eat their souls – they´re manipulated and controlled, the stress of the tour, never ending events, lack of freedom and privacy… They feel stuck and hopeless.
Harley has a heavy past that will always affects him – but he escaped his dad only to be trapped by someone else and has to hide and gets punished again. It feels like a never ending battle for him that hes never going to win and he is losing himself. This causes his anxiety to increase with panic attacks and dissociaton.
Are the positives worth the negatives?
Harley loves playing music but he loves Ezra more – having to hide and only take fleeting moments with him doesn´t feel worth it all to him. But there is not way out of the contract with their management.

I can´t put into words how much I loved reading this book and the author´s writing style.
Ezra and Harleys journey is not an easy way and it hurts to read how much they are all hurting. But the love they have for each other and all the wonderful people, friends and family they have on their side is what gives them the strength to keep going. Ezra tries so hard to be strong for Harley and teach him how to love himself and is understanding and supporting of his anxiety. Together they try to take back some of that control that is constantly stripped from them.
Oh and I really liked that there is no break up in this book! The love they share is palpable and so well written, Im really happy they (and I) didnt have to suffer through a unnecessary breakup.

Wow. This series is genuinely so good. I’ve read a lot of different MM romances, a lot of rockstar romances, but this one just seems to get all the elements right. Nothing feels forced or tropey and there are some really raw moments.

My heart was broken for Harley so many times through this book. Ezra, too but Harley just touches a part of me and I’m able to really understand him. The hatred he feels for himself, the blame he places on himself, his ability to numb himself in certain situations by disassociating. It’s all very real and very good.

I highly recommend this series to those who are a fan of a good mm romance. There’s so much heart and such fantastic characters. Plus there’s some seriously good spice layered in (ft. Praise which slays so hard)

I’ve never cried while reading a book.
Well this was before i read ‘Details’..

This book has all the feels. I was crying. I wanted to scream.. I wanted Ezra and Harley just to be together without having to hide who they are.

I think this story is so recognisable for a lot of LGBTQ+ people, even in the year 2025.

Nobody should have to hide who they love ans everybody should be free to love who they love.
This book shows us that their are good people.

Ezra’s family, Callum, Ollie, Lulu, Hannah, Ben, Ian, Holly, Frank…
It’s amazing how Ezra’s and Harley’s support system is in a shitty world.
And you just want them to be able to show their love in public…

I couldn’t put it down. I wanted to know what was coming.

Oh, and the spice in this trilogy is top notch!!
