This is one of my favorite books by Colleen. Survivors of the foster care system (and truly, it is a feat of survival for many children) instantly grab my heart. I enjoyed the romantic relationship in this one. He judged her too quickly as children, further shaping his negative perception of her, but when he actually takes time to get to know her, he realizes his initial assumptions weren't quite right.

This book I actually had the audio version but I could not find that option on Goodreads. It was very well narrated and I’m thrilled to find a new author to read. This author has nothing offensive in this book and the suspense factor was very appealing. Can’t wait for more!
