S.J. Grundvig is a woman with a passion for reading and writing. She loves nothing more than getting lost in a good book or typing away with the beginnings of the next story. She currently lives in Utah with her amazing family. She stays busy with her 3 crazy awesome children and her one-of-a-kind husband. Her ultimate dream is to start a small homestead in the mountains, in the meantime nothing beats getting lost in the next story.
This book has great potential. I really did enjoy it. But it would not be a good and accurate review if I said it was perfect. Several sentences were repeated throughout. Restructuring the sentence would have made several make more sense in the context they were being used. The breaking up of a character’s spoken dialogue into paragraphs was confusing. Quotations were placed in areas where a dialog was not taking place. All in all, I would recommend reading this book; but be aware it does need some editing.
Pnr, wolf shifters, politics, multiple fated mates, rejected mates, evil parents and mystery. This book dovetails with the author's other series about dragon shifters. The world is only vaguely described, but humans are aware of shifters. Spoilers follow: Our heroine, Lucy, is a human born to wolf shifter parents who developed a fated mate mark indicating she has 4 shifter mates. Apparently this indicates she can safely be turned into a wolf shifter if her mates bond her. Painfully for her, three of her mates reject her. The plot is complicated by the convoluted politics conducted by her father and other wolf alphas who have unclear motives and goals. The book needs someone to review the punctuation as there are errant quotation marks and strange commas. Triggers should be noted, regarding death of characters.
I really felt for Lucy, her character drew me in with her wit and snappy attitude. Her background slowly was mentioned drawing me in further. James my heart goes out to him. He was always there for Lucy and she realized that she never should have run from him for so long when she could have had happiness. Corbin surprised me. Cant wait for what’s next!!
The relationship building is strong in these books. Not a lot of time passes, so the reader has a chance to get to know Lucy. There is crossover from "Outside the Flight" so I do recommend reading that first. I'm eagerly awaiting the next book for both Scarlett and Lucy.
