When Kenna appear, insiting to go on a dangerous trip to find her sister he first refuses but his gramps medical bills push him to accept....despite the risks to go to his comrade cabin there is a lot to gain...more than he could have imagined before
A crash, survival in a snow storm, secrets revealed....they both will need to trust each other to survive and it will force them to open their heart as well......but the danger could be worse than the men shooting at them....as Kady could be in deeper danger but not the one Kenna feared....so a look in the past will be needed and Dean will need his comrades

This book was an unexpected surprise. In all honesty I wasn't sure if I would even like this book. I remember when I got my first glimpse of Kenna and Dean. Something about them just didn't make me excited. So I debated if I wanted to push on and get to know them more. Kenna's first chapter wasn't my favorite. She just seemed lack luster and way to self conscious. But I told myself to keep pushing. I'm glad I did. I loved Kenna's determination.. though I have to admit I thought she was absolutely stupid to willingly want to fly into a snow storm the way she wanted to... and I loved grumpy Dean. That man had a sad story. I understand why he was the way he was. But I'm so happy Kenna was able to pull him out of himself. Even with all that the story detailed and these two falling in love my absolute favorite part of this story was when Kenna realized Dean was right. She was a princess. That part cracked me up! This was a beautiful story full of self discovery and forever love. But it still feels incomplete to me. There are still to many unanswered questions...
*I voluntarily read an advanced copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review*
I loved Dean and Kenna. The chemistry between them is off the charts. Kenna would do anything to protect her sisters ... even put up with the grumpy Dean. I loved how she talked and talked, even when Dean would just grunt in reply. At the beginning I thought Dean was a real jerk and I wanted to give him a kick where the sun doesn't shine ... but it didn't take long for me to do a 360. I love the suspense and romance in this series and this book is a fantastic addition. I can't wait for Jaime and Kady's book next.
When Kenna's sister Kady and her boyfriend Jaime go missing, she tracks down Jaime's friend to help her. She just didn't expect him to greet her at the his door with a shot gun and refuse to help her ... until he hears that she will pay him. After Dean's grandpa has a stroke, they are drowning in hospital and physical therapy bills. So even though flying Kenna up the mountain with a snow storm coming is not a good idea, he agrees and hopes they can be back before the storm hits.
I like this book, and I like the storyline. I even really liked aspects of the two characters, romantic relationship. I will say, however, that the main plot of this book felt a bit discontinuous with the rest of the story in that lots of its elements felt like they came out of left field and weren’t necessarily as naturally flowing as the rest of the books. this could be because the books prior to this set a high standard.
Overall, though I liked Kenna and I liked how she stood up for herself, and also didn’t need Dean‘s help to set boundaries in her life, and she came to him being a strong person.
Similar to the last book, I loved the his teammates appearance at the end of the book, and I feel like we’re really closing in on the underlined storyline of the series, and I’m really excited to see where it goes . I cannot believe I have to wait until September. How do people get on ARC lists if I could I would. Alas it’s probably gonna get to September and I’m going to read the whole series again before I read the next book so I will see you then.
Aviator By Nicole Blanchard Main Characters: Kenna and Dean I voluntarily and honestly reviewed this book without bias or persuasion from the author. 4 out of 5 stars This is First to Fight Series Book seven. I however read this as a standalone. Wow, sure I was not too fond of Dean's character for the first half of the book. I wanted to quit reading because I found him so unlikeable. I loved the down-to-earth real Lynch family of girls. When it appears that Kenna's sister might be missing, she looks for what happened to her. I found it odd when Kenna finally figured out what (former Navy pilot) Dean's problem was and he then became a much more likable person, and at that point, Kenna wasn't doing too much worrying about her missing sister. There is danger, suspense, fun, and sweet. This book has a cliffhanger regarding Kady who is Kenna's sister but otherwise a HEA ending. Now I hope to read the rest of the series. I think you all will love this book.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.
This book will keep you on the edge while you are reading it. This is the story of Kenna and Dean. You are so going to love them and you will find yourself rooting for them every step of the way. Dean is a former U.S. Marine that gave up his career to live a self imposed exile in the mountains. However he ever expected Kenna to show up on his doorstep and when she does she gets quite the greeting. However nothing is going to stop her from getting him to help her. Her sister is missing and she needs his help to find her. She is willing to do anything to make this happen. However there are so many surprises coming their way. You have to read to see what they are but I liked this book and feel like you guys will too.
Aviator by Nicole Blanchard is the seventh book in the First to Fight series and a definite must read if you love romantic suspense novels with lots of action along with strong alpha males and the women who love them. I loved Dean and Kenna's love story. Dean wasn't looking for love after loss, but he was able to find it in Kenna and make a home along with her three sisters and his grandfather. Kenna didn't trust easily after having her parents walk out, but Dean made her feel safe and protected even in the most extreme situations. When she hired Dean to help her find her sister she had no idea what they had signed up for. I really enjoyed this story and look forward to reading more books in the series in the future.
I was given an ARC from the author/publisher. All conclusions are mine and mine alone.
Started off as a 4 or 5 star but slowly went downhill.
FMC has some amazing survival skills that are never really explained.
MMC spends the first half of the book either passed out or being an asshole to FMC. It wasn't bad until you find out the reason he's so cruel to all women is because he's still mourning his wife and child. Totally believable but I just hate the dead ex trope, especially when they're put on a pedestal. So that ruined the romance for me.
At least we still have the spice, right?? Period sex is 🤢 for me. And their first real encounter is in the home he shared with his wife. It's beautiful with a glorious bedroom and ensuite but all I'm picturing is how this is where he slept with his beloved wife. Aaaand... romance and smut officially ruined for me.

“Aviator” combines a lot of my favorite elements in a story - a tough heroine, an emotionally wounded hero, fast-paced adventure and seriously sexy times. The “First To Fight” series has been amazing so far, and this latest addition is no exception. Dean and Kenna were both great characters and I was completely caught up in their race to find Kenna’s sister, their adventure in the wilderness and their sizzling attraction to one another. This book hooked me from the beginning and kept me eagerly reading until the last page. If you enjoy action, adventure and passionate romance I definitely recommend this one.
I really enjoyed this story. It pulled me in from beginning to end and kept me engaged. There is plenty of tension as Kenna is searching for her missing sister, who has been kidnapped and still missing. She believes that Dean can help so his grumpiness is not going to deter her from finding her sister and figuring out what happened. This story was well written and I enjoyed watching these two come together and figure things out. Kenna's determination helps her get past Dean's grumpiness and also figure out what happened to her sister. This story is well written and was highly entertaining. I really enjoyed it. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
This is such a brilliant read. Kenna needs help to find her sister and the only person she can think of is Dean. Dean refuses to help Kenna at first but when she offers money he knows that he can't turn it down with all the medical bills he has to pay for his grandpa. Things don't easy for them and soon they are injured and fighting for their lifes. Kenna shows what strength she has and doesn't back down but when the danger is closer than they thought will they be able to survive. A must read with so much drama and suspense but also plenty of love. Loved the ending. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
I finished this book in one day and lately, that is a rare occurrence. This book had everything and it fit so well with the previous stories in the series. The mystery about the happenings overseas was in the background as this story was mainly about Dean as he found some healing and peace and Kenna, his personal ray of sunshine. There was a lot of action and Kenna was amazing throughout it all. I loved Dean’s grandpa and the stray that they picked up along the way. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and happily and voluntarily reviewed it.
Aviator will keep you guessing. It involves, kidnapping, attempted murder ,conspiracy and most of all family. The care and love of Kenna for her family is interwoven throughout the entire book. She is a giver not a taker and yet alot of the people in her life are takers. Dean hides from everyone except his grandfather. Th e two of the together set off sparks. The twists and turns will keep you guessing and you will not want to put this book down.
3.5 Stars for Dean and Kenna's story. It was very entertaining. I didn't rate UT higher because there was no epilogue unless you signed up for the authors' newsletter. This was the problem for me with the first several stories and then thankfully the Story of Callum had an epilogue! Now, here we go again... No epilogue. Jenna is desperately looking for her sister so she seeks grumpy Dean out since her sister is dating Jaime his marine buddy. These stories are one big story that is why there are cliffhangers, which I don't like to be honest with you.
I enjoyed Kenna's brightness though the start did make me angry. Dean is definitely someone you want to smack. I enjoyed the strong female character that took charge & did the saving. Especially loved it when there wasn't any drama when Dean realised what he wanted & how he went about it. This had action, suspense, chemistry hot & steamy, banter & heaps of laughter along the way. True review of my ARC.
Dean was the perfect grump and Kenna's sunshine was the balancing factor this story. I enjoy a good forced proximity, this one was enhanced with the suspense and the chemistry. The little twists were unexpected but worked well and kept me engaged. The interactions between Pookie and the Princess lead to some funny moments and definitely lightened the story.
Another wonderful addition to this already amazing series. Kenna and Dean finally get their story and it’s a slow burn up the hill to HEA. Dean is irritable and disgruntled but such a good guy underneath the bravado and he is exactly what Kenna needs. Thrown together on a dangerous trek to find her sister, Kenna and Dean find they need each other in ways they never knew. Full of warmth and a tangible chemistry makes this a definite not to be missed read
This had a good story line and lots of action to hold your interest if you can overlook a couple things. I question Kenna's survival skills when she had no previous training. Yes, I know it's fiction, but I just found it hard to believe she could accomplish all those things without training. And I thought Dean was just not just grumpy, but rude. Just my opinion. It is edited well and has an original story line.
The combination of romance and suspense is razor sharp and it cuts deeply, so be prepared to not want to put this one down once you start it. Kenna and Dean were easy to like and even easier to root for. They made a great couple that delivered the feels and swoon while keeping you on the edge of your seat.
Fun setup! Kenna needs sort of recluse mountain man/former marine, Dean, to help her save her sister, but he’s not exactly happy about it. Stranded in the wilderness with danger afoot equals a good exciting read! Of course we got the passion and fire between Dean and Kenna too! Enjoyed this entertaining action adventure!
Kenna's sister has gone missing and her best hope to find her is a grumpy guy. When Dean's grumpiness doesn't scare her off, he agrees to take her to Jamie's remote cabin. However, they are not prepared for what they find or the helicopter engine failing. There is plenty of suspense as they try to survive the crash and get back to civilization with some surprising twists.
I really enjoyed this book. I couldn’t get enough of Kenna & Dean. Kenna & Dean definitely made you swoon and having you not wanting to put your kindle down. Another great read with like-able characters.
Oh my gawd this book was all kinds of amazing. Beautifully told and written like only Nicole can do. Loved Dean & Kenna's dynamic. A slow burn, suspense, danger, lies, secrets, deceit and steam. Another homerun for Nicole.
Another amazing story. It’s full of suspense that will keep you hooked from beginning to end as it keeps you on the edge of your seat. I loved the characters and the sizzling chemistry. It’s entertaining and not to be missed.
Highly entertaining, sexy, thrilling, action packed romantic adventure filled with witty and engaging charters, heart racing twists and emotionally thrilling turns. An edge of your seat roller coaster journey from beginning to end.
I feel like this book was completely different than the others, with very little history or background into his military career. You could read it without knowing it’s the 7th in the series.
DNF. I could not get into this book, I read about 10 chapters and it was excessive storyline that went no where. I started skimming a lot of it and then just gave up.
