Some of the characters from the first book in the series made it into book #2! It was delightful to meet up with The General again, and to see that Bag was the 21st. Century version of another character, and that's all I am going to divulge! Great story, very enjoyable read!
A truly good history lesson. Very well researched bringing the the readers into the story. Oh to travel back in time and take part in a bit of history.
I enjoy reading a bit of Virginia history written in this book. The young lady is taken back in time to help other people. She just needs to remember she cannot change time.
As a resident of Wytheville, I am familiar with local landmarks and historical names. I have enjoyed this book immensely and look forward to reading the others. I am also a genealogist, originally from Illinois but many of my family tree came from VA. I can only admire the artful way the story is spun using local history and people. This is truly fantastic collaboration!
I like this book. The story had some slow movement a little more than halfway through, but the characters and setting had me interested enough to keep me reading. Can't wait to read the next book.
