4a.Maybe it was time to go home, before the wind got any stronger. But this was the best fishing ever! He was catching more and more.

b.A hurricane was coming so he(Hiru) had to go back to his house but he didn't. As a result, he couldn't get any help by himself and his daughter faced dangerous situation to help him. The more it's interesting people doing, the more they don't want to stop it. I think it's the very thing that people must be careful.

5.The book kept me in suspense. I wanted to read the story more and more. I couldn't stop reading.
One thing that I wanted to know is whether Ikemi and Max got married or not. I hope they did!

Good novel for Lower Intermediate learners. It has accesible vocabulary, simple past tenses, present and past perfect. The rhythm is good although there is one story one does not end up knowing what happened. I would recommend it. Hopefully my students will enjoy it and learn from it.

A educational book which I read many years ago. Found it somewhere in the closet. It is a very easy and quick read but the story has potential

This is our ESL class reader this term (I'm the instructor), and I must say that this book reads like a "normal" English book, and does not seem stiff or empty the way many adapted readers do. I thought the story was great--I could hardly put it down. (My 11-year-old son also liked it.) My only complaint is that it ended too soon! I wanted to hear every little detail about how they survived. However, that does allow me to have the students write the "missing details", or a new ending, which is a great learning activity!

7-word-summary: a hurricane, a storm, to destroy, a family, lovers, life, afraid

It took about 130 min. to read it.

If your family hadn't get back home because of a hurricane, what would you do?
- I would call them over and over, and try to pick up them.

If your parents complain about your partner, how do you presuade them to accept him/her?
- I claim to my parents that he is very important existence for me.
