Even though I put this on my not finished shelf I read over half the book and skimmed through the rest so I feel confident with my opinions of this book. First off this book is slightly out of date because it was published in 2012 and it states that you can not get a prescription for vitamin D3 here in the United States, that you can only buy it OTC. That is definitely no longer true because I do have a prescription for it and buy it as needed via the prescription. The other thing I didn't like about the book was that there was a lot of filler of other peoples stories. I can understand putting in one or two examples of how it has helped people, but it will tell you about multiple people it's helped each chapter. This started to get annoying. Also the information at first is interesting and valuable but it feels like after awhile I am hearing the same information over again, just described in another way. Maybe it's because I know I have a deficiency and have been researching it a lot mostly online where the information is more current. I also didn't agree with some of the authors dietary advice, though most is very sound there are a few things that in my research on health I have decided are not the right way for me to eat. I feel you should really research your health and various diets/ways of eating and decide what is best for your body type as everyone is different.

I really enjoyed this book and the information that it gave. The meal plan is easy and is food that I would actually eat. The only downside is that it tended to get bogged down in technical medical speak and I think the normal reader would find this slow going and give up or skip parts where that was done.

interesting read about just how important vitamin D really is. I found it a bit 'cumbersome' to read... I wished it had been written in a bit more of a 'consumer-friendly' way. not as accessible as I would have hoped. but interesting nonetheless.

A very informative book about how essential adequate levels of vitamin D are for our general health. I knew much of the information in this book, but did learn several new things and I'm excited to put some of the ideas into practice.

Thanks to this book I understood the role and importance of the vitamin D for the health.
You'd better have a vitamin D level in your blood above 30.
