I started reading this in 2014 but about halfway through, I gave up on it. I DON'T HOW OR WHY SO DON'T ASK ME. Buuut, it's 2017 now and I'm a different person and I'M GLAD I GAVE THIS STORY A SECOND CHANCE BECAUSE IT IS GOLD!

This fic is without a doubt, one of the best dramione fics that have been written. Nobody can convince me otherwise.

The very mention of a drunken Draco and Hermione, an unexpected marriage and tattoos got my panties in a twist. Who could possible say no to that?

Hermione was her usual self and so was Draco. Draco was as arrogant as ever, never failing to maintain his composure and just be himself. Definitely not an OOC Draco, I LOVE ARROGANT DRACO. But I've gotta say, if a guy treated me in the same shitty way Draco treated Hermione at first, I'd kill him. BUT THEN AGAIN, HE'S SO CARING AND ADORABLE AND HE'S MY BABY, OKAY? I LOVE MY BABY.

At first, the writing style was so uniquely bizarre, then the plot was jumping all over the place, but all in all it was a well enough fic.

After saving the day, Draco is in the hospital and decides to leave Hermione OUT OF THE BLUE! No explanation is given! 🤡🤡🤡🤡🙈🙈🙈🙈 He just doesn't want to see her👌👌👌👌 the fic ends and there is a 13 chapter long epilogue, where I assume they get back together AFTER 5 YEARS, but who TF knows at this point 😂😂😂🤬🤡

I'm sorely disappointed but also bewildered at how and why this is such a popular fic and even in people's top three?

In short, I just felt that "toxic" Draco was not actually toxic but just acting like a child and Hermione was so bland that I was rolling the floor with boredom.

I just didn't get that pizzazz, that chemistry, that romance and most importantly, the intrinsic comfort that I associate with dramione fanfiction.

I was bored and wasn't convinced of their romance and in my humble opinion, I shouldn't need to be convinced of a romance, it should be effortless.

All in all, this one was just not for me, maybe it's a me problem or maybe it improves but alas, I'm moving on.

For those who doubted me I did find an old PDF copy (thank you Reddit) and it was worth it.

3.75 the beginning half was superb! Like crazy good. I read the first 30 some chapters of the version she (rizzle) is currently rewriting, the remainder from the PDF of an earlier version. There were moments that felt too instalove but overall the story was amazing.

Started with one night stand, ended with an amazing date and possibly a wonderful love journey.

I admit, I didn't really have high expectations from this; the beginning was kind of sketchy and, well, not my type - but that was just the first pov. This fic is fantastic. MIND BLOWING. AMAZING. BEAUTIFUL. And now one of my favourites.
I LOVED READING THIS! Even if you don't really like the little "dub-con" thingy in the beginning, I thought that it was a very 'Draco' thing to do. Loved the sexual tension, the heated conversations & the fact that Draco is possibly the only guy who would grope his girl in the face of danger.
Seriously, that was original. And possibly one of my most favourite Dramione scenes!

Since the moment I found this story I have devoured it. I fell in love with it. And even though I was excited all the while to be diving further into I was overcome with despair cause it was ending. This story is amazing and so well written. So much history, thought, plot, planning, and just downright good storytelling was wrapped up in this. This is hands down one of my favorite things I've read on this website and almost in general truthfully. If you ever write a sequel for this I'd be all over it.

You never gave too many or not enough details which is extremely challenging, yet you did it perfectly. I will say I was disappointed with how Draco left FOR FIVE BLOODY YEARS, but I think you did a great job calming that storm and reassuring me as a reader that it was the right thing for Draco to do.

At first I was a lil bit disappointed, when the story ended abruptly after more than 40 chapters. But then, after reading the epilogue, it was kind of fitting. I guess, Draco was not matured to enough to start a healthy relationship with Hermione. And I guess, everyone would do the same and take revenge on the murderer of the own mother... This one was the longest fanfiction ever I have read so far. The author knew from the very beginning how to balance out the story without dragging it or rushing the things.

So what I meant to say was: LOVED THIS FANFIC! THANKS SOOOO MUCH FOR WRITING IT!

Dramione, written before canon was complete. This Seventh Year fic had such a different feel than the more modern Dramione fics, because it's so old. Dumbledore is still alive, Snape/Lucius pairing, Lupin is still teaching DADA, and Voldemort hasn't been up to much, but is still around kicking it. I was nervous about the '5 year gap' from the end of the fic to the epilogue, but it worked for me. I certainly understand timing is everything and not being in the right place to fall completely into a relationship. Hermione was mad at Draco for leaving, but he needed to. I wish we got to see D/H go back to reinstate the Fida Mia tattoo during the epilogue. I loved Blaise as the bad guy. I loved the concept of the death portkeys going to a magically sealed cage in the Great Lake.

Absolutely loved the premise. The story was more unique than I initially thought. I read the PDF version as I know the writer is posting on AO3, but it's still WIP, which I will read once she's done the full posting/edit, etc.

Now I know some people might have an issue with that opening scene but guys, I've read Manacled so 🤷

For the fact that this was written before HBP and TDH ,and that it still feels like Canon in a way, I dunno. I had a blast with this.

Finally I found the complete book and read it! It was good!! The writing was magnificent! Their relationship was sooooooo good! I had so many butterflies !!! The angst was good!! I LOVED Draco! But I can’t really say that I liked the main event, it was too rushed, and the epilogue(last 30%) felt like a totally different story from the rest, Draco didn’t grovel enough for my liking. But still this one was pretty good marriage law fic💕

I enjoyed the younger hermione and Draco. Particularly Draco who starts out immature and toxic but ends up in a much better place.

I wanted this to end with another Fida Mia but I think the way it ended was more true to who they became in the end.

I read reviews that this was very smutty but I didn’t find that to be the case necessarily.

Very much looking forward to reading other things by this author.

better than the actual Harry Potter books!
This is a classic for a reason - written over 20 years ago - in 2003, so after Order of the Phoenix but before The Half-Blood Prince.
think on that for a bit!
First couple of chapters are not appropriate - but so quick to grab your attention - just let it go and enjoy the read.

I like this fic but it really didn’t live up to my expectations. So much could have been played up in the romance in this book. I feel to start the way it did it should have focused a bit more on the romance and their relationship on a whole. I enjoyed the end of the book but I hated that it actually ended there… we didn’t see how everyone reacted to them or see them as a couple at all…

It was actually quite good, the only thing that saddened me was I wish they got the Fida Mia again in the epilogue but other than that it was executed perfectly. I've never read any ff with Blaise as the villain but tbh why has no one thought of this before because the character of Blaise himself would make for such an evil mastermind which is shown perfectly in this book.

Not my favorite. There was a lot going on outside of Draco and Hermione. Started off strong but it fell apart for me and I rushed the last 300 pages to get through it.

They wake up hungover in a hotel room and realize they got married the night before. The story is enemies to lovers but it drags on and on…and not in a good way.
