If you know New Orleans, you'll enjoy this book. Plenty of humor. A noticeable dash of racism, which is not surprising given the time and locale. At times, the book gets bogged down in some less-interesting minutiae, but this is more than compensated by the rollicking retelling of NOLA's dysfunctional origin story.
