Make no mistake: this book does contain some interesting "Big Bang Theory" biographical & production background info of which I was unaware. But it disappoints by (1) being written in such a simple, teen-magazine-style format (with extra exclamation point gushing);(2) lacking real analytical depth; (3) covering the series only up to its fourth season; much has happened in the series since that time. A Virgin Publishing version (hopefully written by program guide king Keith Topping) would have been far more preferable to this light & disposable volume.
Sadly a bit repetitive and badly written. Format doesn't help as most titbits crop up at least four times throughout the book. Might have been better if it wasn't in the annoying A - Z format. It just reads like a load of badly cobbled together magazine articles.
If you are a big fan you'll know most of this anyway and if you're not a fan then you'll find it frustrating.
It was really interesting reading the content of the book. But it's let down hugely by being written so badly. There's so many mistakes, really obvious ones, it's like it was written and published straight away.
I am rather a late admirer of this hilarious sitcom TV series. After reading this book, I find that this should definitely on the must-read list of any die-hard fan of this superb series.
I enjoyed reading this book... It does only feature up to season 4 so if you wanted something more up to date this is not the book for you. I did feel it was a bit rushed and noticed some mistakes. But over all it was good.
Well, this is one of those books that's interesting if you're a superfan/completist, but only so you can say you read it, and maybe picked up an interesting tidbit or two.
There's not much that fans (even casual fans) don't know, and the book is riddled with errors. For one: Under the Barenaked Ladies entry is a picture of a group DEFINITELY not the Barenaked Ladies. If the fact-checkers of the book can't even get a picture correct, replacing a group of five thirties-ish Canadians with four people I've never seen before (possibly boy band members), what else did they screw up?
Secondly, they have some very strange listings, like "Broken Legs and Bad Driving" (Kaley Cuoco's injuries) and "Canuck Love" (ratings in Canada). (Also, "Farrah Fowler, Amy" -- shouldn't it be "Fowler, Amy Farrah"?)
Another reviewer mentioned the use of exclamation marks that make it seem like this is a teen fanzine. I hadn't noticed them until I read that review, but then I started to become aware of them! They're everywhere! Like OMG!
Also, some of the pictures look like the author or someone at the publishing company just sat outside the actors' houses and waited to take pics of them on the street, paparazzi style. That in itself isn't horrible, but it definitely takes credibility away from the book, especially given the other issues.
Plus, oh so many grammar and punctuation errors -- repeatedly leaving out "the," leaving out other words, repeating words and phrases in a sentence, comma issues... ohhh, it's sooo not good. This seems like they tried to just bang (ha!) a book out quickly to capitalize on the success of the show, and didn't spend a whole lot of time checking anything.
Also Leute kaufen, kaufen, kaufen!! Es macht sich auch sehr schön als Geschenk für einen Freund, der die Serie mag. Über den Preis kann man sich streiten, aber einen richtigen Fan schreckt das nicht ab!!

This is a good book in the A-Z series and is perfect for fan's of The Big Bang Theory. It gives an insight not only to just the characters/actor but also to lots of different aspects of the shows and the directors/creators of the programme. It contains alot of interesting facts and bits of trivia, and is written in a very 'teen' style way with lots of exclamation points to emphasis things which makes it feel a little bit childish. It makes it feel like it is snippits of magazine and articles but it is a good dip in and dip out kind of book which is great for fan's of the show who would like to get to know the actors better.
Really enjoying this so far, learning a few things about the actors I didn't know and other things too. Just seems the book is made from snippets of articles and interviews/magazines etc though. Good read for Big Bang fans though, new or old.
I found this interesting but some of the information appeared more than 4 times so very repetitive. If your a fan it's a good book to learn about the cast, characters and behind the scenes creators.
