"I'll tell anyone lucky enough to be blessed by your presence that you have been claimed. I want to let them know who owns my soul." A life of solitude was the best for Rachel. Being able to read people's minds was a gift and a curse. Her family thought she was possessed, doctors diagnosed her with mental disorders, and her relationships never lasted. Living alone and staying out of other people's business was the only way she would get through life. That all changed when she overheard vile thoughts that she couldn't leave alone. One night was all it took for her to go from her comfortable-ish life of isolation to falling headfirst into a magical fight that humans weren't aware of. A pair of crossroad demons who were used to sharing with one another were the two that had Rachel struggling with her one-night stand rule. Would she be able to open herself up to the chance of happiness with two demons with their own issues? Victor and Aaron shared everything from one another to women to their occupations. There was one constant in their lives, and it was that the other would always be there. One night with a mind reader had both men questioning everything they thought they knew about their relationship. This story is for those of you who are never happy with just one MMC. If you want your men obsessed, protective, and downright monstrous when it comes to protecting their love, you've come to the right place. This story contains violence, monsters, and spice. CWs are at the front of the book.
Morgan Robinson writes paranormal and science fiction romances about sweet monsters, usually of the alien variety. Strong, alpha heroes have always been interesting to her, but there needed to be a sweet and caring side as well. So while the heroes of her stories might be gigantic monsters with horns and scales, they're stuffed full of fluff and sweetness. Her novels contain plenty of steam, fluffy romance, and sometimes more than one MMC.
Morgan lives with her husband and her two dogs. When she's not writing about an alien warrior finding true love with a human, she's being carried in video games, reading lots and lots of romance novels, or rewatching classic slasher films.
I couldn't really get into this book. The premise was exactly something I'd love, and I adore MMF romances, but after about 40% in, I just wasn't feeling it with the characters and stopped reading. I liked the setting of the story though. Maybe this is something I'll trying continuing/rereading in the future. 3 stars.
Paranormal romances, so good, so...yummy. There's just something about them that keeps us coming back for more, isn't there? And this one by Robinson is no exception!.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Love, love, love this book. I am obsessed with the Crossroads series. Author, Morgan Robinson does an amazing job of interweaving the narratives and timelines throughout the series! As always, the dynamics between the 2 MMCs are delicious and complex.
