At age 60 Jesse Irvin Overholtzer staked all on the revolutionary premise that children could be won for Jesus Christ – something not widely accepted in his day. His diligent study of God's Word convinced him – and at great personal cost he founded Child Evangelism Fellowship and dedicated the rest of his life to reaching children with the Gospel. This is the story of his life and the lives of those who have inherited his vision.
I was impressed greatly by the faith and perseverance of one man, Mr O, who began the work of CEF not only across the U.S., but over the entire world! The second half of the book tells about the children being reached for the Lord and about their personal stories. The book goes on to tell about the various books being placed in the hands of children and worker's hands and of the various clubs and aspects of the CEF ministry. It is awesome and amazing! And through prayer, efforts and financial support, continues to grow!
I loved reading this history of Child Evangelism Fellowship and it's founder, Mr. Overholtzer! It gave insight into how it was all of God, all of prayer, all of grace!
