Jennifer Vail lives in Portland Oregon where weird is good and trees are everywhere. It fits her perfectly. On occasion, she still dances around the house wishing she had fairy wings.
Before Jennifer spent her days writing, she served greasy food to the masses, dealt cards in a smoke filled casino, and obtained millions of dollars for better schools.
These days, when she’s not obsessively typing words, she can be found hiking in the forest, participating in a Netflix marathon, or curling up with a cup of tea and a good book.
Baited reads like a movie. It will draw you into a world you won’t want to leave. Vail describes each scene so clearly; I felt I was there, racing along with her enchanting characters.
At the heart of this story is the excitement of new love, and a mystery. Who is Sam? Throughout, Vail gives hints that Sam may be more than she thinks: her curious ability to read people’s true intentions, and her strange past are just some of the mysteries surrounding the heroine in this intriguing tale.
Beautiful, fast-paced, and difficult to put down, Baited will leave you hungry for more.
A very well written book with much to commend it. If you are a younger/ middle teen reading this, you would probably really enjoy it. For me however, the book was a little long and needs a bit more oomph to take it beyond being a good read. 3.5 stars!!
It's good to get lost in stories, and this one will keep you hooked and you will feel like you are apart of the story! Great book and I can't wait to read more from this author!
