Y. Correa is a literary evolutionary, luring one in with her talent of Romancing the Words, keeping one hypnotized with dynamic characters, and stimulating one with engaging narrative voices, strong plots, and epic conflicts. Her works are as complex and as distinct as her person; a delightful combination of eclectic and antiquated. Therefore, the mere mention of fitting into one set genre is laughable. The multi-genre decadence is where she showcases her magnificence. Y. Correa is also the creator and founder of All Authors Publishing House and all of its subsidiaries, as well as the now popular Facebook Group, "Talk Books To Me" a place where all authors from all walks of life can come to promote their works. Y. Correa’s works include: Solo Works ~ Historical Fiction “MarcoAntonio & Amaryllis” ~ Sci-Fi Mashup “The Earth 8-8-2 Saga" currently a 3 book collection, with an anticipated 7 books by the end of the series. ~ Paranormal Romantic Drama "Lilith's Dominion" ~ Short Story Anthology coined after her catchphrase, "Dimensions of Literary Seduction" ~ Novelette "Peter Blade" a dark psychological drama. ~ Retro-futuristic dark drama, "Reversal" a novel of humanity in retrograde Anthology Participation ~ "Concordant Vibrancy: Unity" ~ "Holiday Keepsakes" ~ "Crackles of the Heart: Divergent Ink Book 1" ~ "Concordant Vibrancy: Vitality" ~ "Concordant Vibrancy: Lustrate" ~ "Pleasure Prints: Divergent Ink Book 2" ~ "Concordant Vibrancy: Inferno" ~ "Concordant Vibrancy: Extancy" Upcoming Works Include ~ "Earth 8-8-2: Genesis of Apocalypse" the 4th book in the Earth 8-8-2 Saga ~ "The Legacy of MarcoAntonio and Amaryllis" the final instalment to "MarcoAntonio & Amaryllis" ~ "Genesis Ellipse ..." an epic biblical sci-fi drama ~ "Kismet" a standalone novel of karma gone awry ~ "Tainted Myth" a standalone novel about the misconceptions of the wendigo legend While there are many more projects in the works, Y. Correa proudly considers herself an average person.
I read the first sentence and realized I had no idea what this book was about. So I went back to goodreads to search the book and find out what it is about. Odette seems to have a problem finding true love. The kind that fairy tales are made up of, the kind that inspires and changed a person. Lately these days us (women) have the problem of finding true love, yes the kind that fairy tales are made of. Let's read about Odette's loves and losses. When you are blinded by "LOVE" you do not see the bad (abusiveness). It seems Odette has a cycle after the break up its More tears, more chocolate ice cream, more tissue boxes, phone calls and romedies.
Amusing
This free, ultra-short story (five pages only) really amused me. The author does a roundup of Odette's love disasters, narrated by the same character. More than a story this is a quick humorous report, but it describes situations in which many of us can relate to. In the end the topic is the search for the right person, often done in the wrong way, with results that are far from good. Odette won't find the man of her life yet, maybe she'll become wiser and will have learned from her mistakes, but in spite of all she won't lose heart and continue to seek. Recommended to spend about ten minutes in joy and to know a good independent author.
I really like the comedic take on the search for love. I could definitely relate to the main character's plight. The only thing I do wonder is if the character is learning from each disaster or will the mantra of "I'm done" just serve as something that's appropriate to say yet with no follow through.
I feel no matter what wars the character has been through, she is ultimately a Soldier of Love. I am cheering for her to find her way, regardless of whether it's with Wade or not.
