The world has become very "noisy" and technology has engulfed us. This book stands in stark contrast to the encroachment of the world in our lives and reminds believers in Christ that they must quiet their flesh and soul to hear from God. Hagin gives many personal examples of where he and others heard God's voice and followed and examples of missing God and requiring repentance. This is a call back to simple faith in God and dependence upon His Voice to guide you into all truth and reveal His will for your life.

Does God have a plan for each and every one of us? How can we know about it? Does God still speak to us today? How does He do this? What are the various ways of hearing from God? Why should we hear from God for ourselves? What things can hinder our hearing from Him?

These are the various questions this book answers. Hagin uses Scripture and narrative examples to give us insight and show us how we can grow spiritually while following God's plan for our lives.

Following God's Plan For Your Life
It educates on the importance of serving God, including being sensitive to His leading and following His plans.

Lessons:
1. When you learn to enter into the rest of faith, you give the Lord the freedom to bring His plan to pass in your life.
2. It is better to be too slow than fast when following God's leading.
3. Be glad when someone starts a new church in your city, so more souls can be brought into God’s Kingdom.
4. Many Christians are caught up trying to receive specific direction from God, but they forget to be a doer of the Word.
5. You've got to be willing to do anything God wants you to do, or He won’t be able to use you at all.
6. Sometimes, in following God’s plan for your life, you’ll have to do things you’d rather not do.
7. You’re not going to get any more light from God until you walk in the light you already have.
8. With God, it's not the mistake you made in the past that counts; it’s what you do afterward.
9. Failing to walk in love will hinder you from following God’s plan for your life.

If you are a Christian in search of purpose, this book is a perfect place to look.

I learned a from this Spirit-filled book. But in line with the question on purpose, here's my takeaway.

First, God's plan for me is that I walk in His will. And the will of God is not hidden; they are plainly expressed in the written Word of God and the leading of the Holy Spirit. (NKJV, Romans 8:14 — For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.)

If it seems I do not have a big call from God yet or His permission to go in the way He wants me to go eventually, then I can stay where He wants me to stay at the moment until He allows me to go.

In sum, God wants us to be in His perfect will at all times, and we can do that by simply being a doer of His written Word or trusting and following the prompting of the Holy Spirit.

So, so good. I'm not a great non-fiction reader, I get bored so easily. Never with Kenneth Hagin's books, though. Like all the others, this one, too, is full of Biblical truths applied in real life, corroborated with stories from Kenneth Hagin's own life. Simple and honest.
Two things I learned: How to be really quiet before the Lord so I can hear his voice and the blessings we reap when we walk in love.
As usual: Highly recommended.

There is certainly some good content in this book. Most people will probably find enough value in the words that resonate with them to overlook the parts that are contrary to their personal beliefs if they are different than the author's. If this book was edited to remove references to specific years, I believe more people would be able to find that the concepts are applicable in modern times.

This book is a great read! I didn’t read it directly though I feel the best way to go about completing the book is to take your time with it so you can grasp it all. You will find revelation along the way if you open your heart and ears to it.

2025 Review:
What a book! I’m still amazed at what I learned at the end of 2024, and rereading this again for a bible study truly allowed me to soak all in and learned things I missed the first time. Cannot wait for what the rest of 2025 unfolds!

2024 Review:
Every Kenneth E. Hagin book is a surprise. When you think you already know what he’s going to talk about, he comes in with greater wisdom and of revelation. Never thought less of it. Every christian should read this book.

Kenneth E. Hagin outlined how obedience is must needed virtue to comprehend and follow God's plan for our lives. Sin is as close to our hearts as salvation, hence, as a Christian, it will keep tripping you up and slowing you down. However, man should not take things into his own hands as God will prepare Him for his task at the time that he chooses. All that man has to adhere to is obedience.

I think it’s a very good book. I found some of the examples used quite funny. “They’d come by the next day, find the parsonage empty, and think the rapture had taken place!” Haha! Love it.
