This book, written by a team of present and former Pastorss of Grace Community Church in Sun Valley CA. it is full of useful and thought provoking material. Much of the material is of a practical nature, looking at the basic building blocks of an evangelistic ministry. It is well worth reading. Even more it is a good reference tool for future planning.

I keep my 5 star ratings few and far between. Yet I didn’t even hesitate to give this the deserved rating of 5 stars.
This is about as thorough of a study on Evangelism as you can get. Around 15 different men wrote the chapters of this book. Each author contributed something unique to a full picture of evangelism and its practical out-workings—both personally and in the church. With so many authors and contributed chapters, one might think that there would be lots of overlap or repetition. However, the only thing that felt repetitious was the same biblical convictions and foundations for evangelism. This book is gold.
I will readily encourage the lay person along with the pastor to use this book for the proper direction and fuel for evangelism. The fiery conviction to bring the gospel to the needy world is stoked, and the tools of practical wisdom are presented clearly. I am so thankful for this book.

El libro "La Evangelización" ha sido escrito por los pastores de la Grace Community Church, encabezados por el conocido pastor John MacArthur. El enfoque central del libro es la evangelización bíblica, que no mide su éxito por medio de resultados numéricos; sino por su centralidad en la cruz de Cristo y la proclamación fiel y clara del evangelio. El libro se divide en 4 partes. En la primera, se colocan los fundamentos bíblicos y teológicos de la evangelización. La segunda parte considera la evangelización hecha por los pastores en la iglesia. La tercera parte da ideas prácticas de cómo evangelizar personalmente. Finalmente, la cuarta parte del libro trata acerca de cómo alcanzar a diferentes grupos de personas con el evangelio en el contexto de la iglesia local.
Como podría esperarse en este tipo de libros escritos por diferentes autores, la utilidad y calidad de los capítulos es desigual. Para mí, los mejores y más relevantes para nuestra práctica del evangelismo han sido los capítulos 4 (acerca de la apologética como una práctica de todo cristiano con el fin de evangelizar), 9 (acerca de cómo el pastor debe enseñar a la congregación a evangelizar), 10 (que trata de los peligros de la oración del pecador y un llamado a evangelizar bíblicamente), 14 (acerca de evangelizar a nuestros hijos), 15 (enfocado en el alcance bíblico de los jóvenes de nuestra iglesia y comunidad), 20 (tal vez el mejor, acerca de la práctica de las misiones en la iglesia).
Este es un libro muy recomendable, principalmente para los líderes de las iglesias con pasión por el evangelismo y el entrenamiento del pueblo de Dios.
Como podría esperarse en este tipo de libros escritos por diferentes autores, la utilidad y calidad de los capítulos es desigual. Great book. It starts with a discussion of the most basic theology of evangelism from the Parable of the Soils in which John MacArthur works through the evangelist’s reliance on God to produce conversions in response to the profuse sowing of the true Gospel. We can’t and shouldn’t rely on our cunning or appeal to what is fleshly in the culture to somehow increase the likelihood of conversion because that only produces a greater number of false converts. This reminds us that what we primarily are called to is simply the faithfulness to share the truth, and then God makes converts. The barrier to entry doesn’t exist, and you don’t need to be a brilliant speaker or apologist to be faithful to evangelize.
Successive chapters are written by different authors. As you read through the book, the content trends toward practical as you get further to the end compared to the more theological start. Several chapters are written specifically for pastors and church leaders (e.g., how to select, train, and send out missionaries is chapter 20), but many of the chapters are perfectly helpful to a layperson. Because successive chapters are essentially articles around a common theme rather than the entire book being a single argument, the book will read perfectly fine if you just skip the chapters that aren’t relevant to you. The chapters on individual Gospel conversations and evangelizing one’s own children were particularly helpful.

Good material for all Christians
It's written with the pastor or church leader in mind, and many chapters would best penetrate such a person, but there is also a wealth of good teaching that would benefit the average Christian. Each chapter is written by a separate author with a specific aspect of Evangelism in mind, so when you reach the end, you will have much to think about. The contents of the book cover a very broad range of evangelistic situations, which any Christian can learn from. Highly recommended for anyone desiring to spread the Gospel to others

Extremely Practical on Many Fronts
This book is very practical in so many areas of evangelism. Has great chapters on steering evangelistic conversations, evangelistic parenting and developing short term missions trips. Very Biblical! No gimmicks!

This is a work written by multiple authors. There were some sections that I found more helpful than others but overall I give it 5 stars.

I appreciated this book for three reasons:
1. It is biblical. The authors are driven by conviction to get their philosophy and strategy of ministry from the Word.
2. It is comprehensive. They cover a wide range of topics that relate to evangelism and missions within the church.
3. It left me wanting more. It whet my appetite to read more in these areas.
