Mimi The Matchmaker -
The first time Nova and Nathan met, it didn’t end well for Nova, but even though their second interaction may not have started in a positive light, it ended with Nathan feeling like he was shaken to the core. Nova and Nathan continued dancing around each other until, they just couldn’t hold back any longer, but the school policy meant they had to keep it a secret. Unfortunately, someone snitched and caused problems for them, but Nathan was able clear everything up.
Whilst Nova thought the issue had derailed their budding romance, Nathan was just holding back until they were free to pursue a relationship in the open. Luckily, he was able to convince Nova to join him in a forever life. This story was interesting and well written, which allowed me to really enjoy it. I couldn’t put it down once I started, as the author did a great job in getting me hooked from the first and kept my attention until the last page. It is a definite must read book.

Although I enjoyed the story, I found the writing very formal and at times stilted. This author needs more confidence in herself and to relax while telling us of the emotions and events.
It was running at a normal pace until the hearing and then it jumped to the end quite suddenly. I am sure Georgia Lane will settle in and give readers a wonderful romance in the near future.

I have to admit I thought Nathan was a bit of an a-hole, who only got marginally better as the story went on. I hesitate to call this an enemies-to-lovers romance, as Nathan initially felt nothing but annoyance for Nova, even when fighting his attraction. At the same time, Nova’s obsession with being the best, spurred on by her dead mother’s perceived perfection, had me surprised she even had time for a lover at all. In fact, this drive took up a large part of the story. Inevitably, the two do get together, but given the nature of their relationship I felt it was more like a clandestine affair than a romance. Nathan continued to be rather standoffish and didn't appear to be so deeply in love with Nova that he couldn't leave her side. Although it kept my attention, the writing didn’t flow smoothly in a way I can’t exactly explain, which tripped me up and had me rereading occasional passages to comprehend the meaning. Overall, it wasn't as steamy as other teacher-student romances I've read and left me wanting more.
