The Mindbender

Rate this book
Our story starts with a teenager, John Martin, being interviewed by the Police for shoplifting. Next we meet Ike Turner, a self confessed mass murderer who claims that he is controlled by a strange sinister force that enables him to influence the actions of others. Frank Harman, a lifelong small town detective, is convinced Turner is insane but as it gradually becomes clear that the prisoner is no ordinary criminal Frank may have to think again. The brain is the hardware. Thoughts are the software and software is transferable. A psychological thriller with a science fiction twist in the tail that will keep you reading and wondering until the last page. "Great book. Hard to put down. Kept me on the edge of my seat. Must read this book." "Full of action, mystery and suspense right to the very end." Amazon reviews

Difficult Read

I really wanted to enjoy this book, but the previous reviews are misleading. I found myself rushing to finish this book not because of quality but to be finished. Bland undeveloped characters that you do not care about, and an obvious ending that could be seen from a mile away. Book truly became tough to read around the middle of the book when that one word which is destined to ruin any movie or book appeared (I will not say it and spoil). As an aspiring writer I hate to give any book a bad review, but I was fooled by the other ratings and wanted at least one honest review to warn people.
