Wild has it bad for Kat. He can’t seem to get enough of her. He tries to work her out of his system, but the more he has of her, the more he wants.
When I say this book was crazy hot, I’m not even kidding. I’m pretty sure it has every thing to do with Wild. . I love a rough around the edges, dirty talker! Wild... what can I say about Lane Wild. The name is perfection. He is a wild man, a dirty talking, sexy as hell, alpha male! Yum! I couldn’t get enough of him! Then there is the Sugar nick name. Yep, I melted. We also have Kat. Kat had moments where she frustrated me, I’m not going to lie. But once you hear her whole story, and learn about her past, you’ll get it. By the end of the book, I really liked her. She was a strong heroine.
With all the sex they are having, there is more to Wild and Kat. They do the impossible. They start to become friends. It’s hard to stay just friends with someone you’re sleeping with. The more the two get to know each other, the more Kat learns about Wild’s past, the closer they become. But it’s too close. Too much for Kat. She can’t get into a relationship again. Opening up and moving forward is hard. Will she be able to get past her barriers and really start her new life in this town with this man she’s grown to care for, or will her past continue to restrict her future?
This was a smoking hot read, a little on the short side, but didn’t feel rushed and had a great story with the heat. I think it’s awesome to find books that have all the steam, but also have some mystery, suspense, romance and many other elements. I loved the main characters, especially Wild. I am so looking forward to the next book in this series! I can’t wait to read about the other Wild brother, Ridge!

WOW...
Okay that turned out TOTALLY unexpected!!! I'm LOST..I don't know what to rate this book! This is the FIRST time I've ever felt weird doing a rating for a book. It's NOT a 3 star book, BUT it's ALSO NOT a 4 star book (or maybe it is)...It might be 3.5 but that feels odd because it seems low....ARG!!! I don't know....I just don't! I LIKED it, and at some parts I LOVED it, and then at some parts I wanted to STAB my eyes out...So, anyway here I go with my small review.
THINGS I LOVED:
1. It was steamy....LIKE WHOA...steamy. Like HUGE eyes, flushed cheeks, moist panties, needing your B.O.B or husband/BF steamy. (case in point, and this might seem crude, but this book makes you HORNY, TINGLY and want to be f**ked like an animal...NO SCRATCH THAT! It makes you want to be LANE WILD F*CKED....Holy Shit!)
2. The characters were f*cking amazing.
- Lane = HOT, HOT, HOT, HOT. He was WILD like the title of the book says. I mean almost ANIMALISTIC....WOW. **shivers** When the book first starts he's a conceited ASSHOLE. In fact at times his arrogance is down right unappealing, and annoying, BUT in the same breath, and at the same time, it's compelling...Does that even make sense?? Hahahaha. He draws you in like a little ant to an anthill, or a bee to pollen, and TAKES you. He's something else...no words really....maybe, a mix between "Travis Maddox" and "Christian Grey", a dominant alpha male type...I don't know. It's freaking crazy how much I loved him.
- Kat (I loved that NAME) - VIXEN, BITCHY, FIERCE, MOUTHY, TOTALLY BAD ASS and also a TENDER, SWEET, AND LOVABLE girl. Her attitude at first turned me off. Honest, the girl was a total, total jerk to Wild...I mean, it was almost TOO MUCH. But then she softens and becomes sweet and you get to see the girl beneath and I fell in love with her. I like the strength and weakness in her.
Those two are really the only NOTABLE characters in this book. There are some others like Slade, Wilds - Best Friend, Ridge - His brother, a bartender chick, but they're just there. Ridge definitely PLAYS a roll in Lane's life and the plot, though...
The book is basically a love story and then it turns a little CRAZY and the plot twist leaves you "on the edge of your seat". It was good. I loved the way these two connected. They are HOT and heavy. They both have secrets and they are both very HURT over the past. I think they see something in each other RIGHT away and try to disguise it in the "I just want to fuck the ever living shit out of you" mentality. The connection is there it just gets LOST in the first half of the book.
AND
HERE I COME TO THE THINGS I DIDN'T LOVE SO MUCH...
1. TOO MUCH SEX....Arg...I hate to say this...it's OVERLOADED in the beginning. So much so that I yawned, and began to loss track of the actual characters. I GET what the author wanted to do. She wanted us to see them hot and heavy, and have the sex show the break down of the walls they both have protecting themselves. The problem is that the sex was almost the first 60% of the book...there was NO PLOT, and the plot there was, was bathed in cock and pussy. I know this is erotica...Or at least that's what I was told BUT gosh...THIS BOOK HAD, HAS...SOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH POTENTIAL. The characters are NO JOKE, BAD ASS. I LOVE THEM. And this book, IMO, had something SPECIAL...
2. The use of Sugar, Beautiful, and Babe in dialogue....OH MY GOD, that was my biggest problem!!!...The first 50 -60% was LOADED in them...TOO MUCH, TOO, TOO, TOO MUCH. It slowed the dialogue down, made you roll your eyes, and instead of being a term of endearment, it became cringe worthy. That was something that should've made you shiver in swooniness, not STAB something in annoyance. I LOVE the term, just not the abundance of it.
Whaaaaaaaaaaa! I want to cry because there are flickers of 5 star qualities in this book. I wanted what the author had in the last 35% of the book to be spread THROUGHOUT....I wanted some of the sex in the beginning MOVED to the end of the book once the connection was solidified.
Sigh..
I JUST...Damn....I don't know.
I LOVED these characters.
I just hated some of the execution!
FINAL THOUGHTS:
★ The author can write...this is the FIRST book I've read by her and CERTAINLY NOT my last. Damn...I LOVE her writing...it's good, engaging, flows well...FANTASTIC.
★ Would I recommend this?? YEAH, I would....I absolutely would. I LOVED it enough to feel something to write this review. I don't write reviews for books UNLESS I feel MOVED by them in some way.
★ I was left wanting MORE!! I needed MORE And I WISH the TOPICS that griped me in the end, were EXPLORED and DELVED deeper.
★ MY honest thoughts are this...The author had something so fantastic here...if she could have taken this and ELABORATED, EXPLORED, DEEPENED the plot and given it a HEAVINESS, an EMOTIONAL WEIGHTINESS (God, I don't know if I'm making sense..LOL) she could have had something that ROCKED our worlds. What she has is GOOD...GOOD!!! BY NO MEANS IS IT BAD! NO,...ITS GOOD!! BUT, what I can see/feel IN MY HEAD, HEART for this book, these characters, well... it'd be GREAT!
I always say a book is like a "chocolate chip cookie," You have to take that cookie and drop little morsels for the reader THROUGHOUT the book...Trail those crumbs so they are entranced and unable to stop following those crumbs. You have to make them want to come back for another cookie when you are done. For me, I want another Cookie from this author. It was good, sweet and steamy enough but damn, it had GREATNESS written all over it ♥

I read about sex, I read about fucking. The overuse of certain words just annoys me at times. Leave it to our imaginations the odd time?
I must say I nearly gave up on this one. Waiting, waiting, waiting… reading about more cocks and pussies and pounding. Yes, Lucinda, you were spot on, about 70% I got a "storyline". In the end I was glad I didn’t give up as it was a good enough ending. I liked Wild and his dirty talk and liked Kat too. Overall an enjoyable read.

yeah, I think that summs it up all right. No, excuse me, last chapter, or 2, something does happen. Yeah that's it. Sex and plot at last chapter.
All kinds of sex. I felt like renting some movie but not porn. Like some porn for chicks, you know, flowers and shit every 30 minutes but the rest sex.
I actually liked how it started but after one scene near the beginning I could not like it any more. The same thing happens in "Fighting to stay".

Honestly, this had more substance then I thought it was going to...granted, it still didn't have a lot. And the storyline was rather predictable and nothing new for the NA/MA genre.
Heroine running from a trouble past, ends up in small town America where she meets the town "bad-boy" who also happens to have a past he hides from. Past catches up with heroine. Yada, yada, yada!

Really this was just can escape read for me. An I don't have to think I can just sit back and enjoy read. And oh boy did I ever.

HOLY FUCKBALLS! I love Wild... OMG... Oh my fucking god… his dirty, dirty mouth was fucking awesome. I loved the exhibitionism and the naughtiness and all of it. The storyline was fantastic. I can't believe I'm saying this but this had A LOT of sex! Like too much sex!!
And so you might be saying: So, what's the problem? IMO, sex has it's place in a book and in fact, it's not always needed as some of my ultimate faves leave everything to the imagination. The thing is, when there's no story just sex - it gets tired real fast. So I must admit that after a while I was skimming the sex scenes as it was too much of "been there done that."
Having said that, Lane Wild and Kat Kennedy were hot together and the chemistry was palpable and yes, Lane was sexy-as-f*ck! Lane was one Alpha that I'd like to go a few rounds with. He was super hot, could be an arrogant, cocky, jerk but also was loving and caring.
I was pleasantly surprised around the 65-70% mark when the story actually picked up with the last third of this story being fantastic. I'm glad I stuck it out because all in all, it was enjoyable. I'll be reading Ridge's book soon.

There was one part of the book I did not like and it boils down to a purely personal hang up of mine.
Overall, this is one totally HOT read. The story line isn't very original and the writing isn't off the charts amazing, but if you take it for what it is, a highly enjoyable romance with more than a touch of erotica, then it really works on all levels. For readers that enjoy erotica, dirty talk, and/or a sexy alpha man, I have to recommend this book. A solid 4.5 STAR GUILTY PLEASURE READ. I am definitely looking forward to reading the author's next book which will be Ridge's story (and boy does he have some explaining to do)! I also noticed that Slade will be getting a book as well. I'm marking these as MUST READ and look forward to getting release dates on both books!

WILD IS LIVE 1 WEEK ONLY

The story of Kat and Wild starts off like many other couples/stories in our favorite books but something about them is different. From the moment Kat and Lane/Wild are together in a scene the electricity buzzes off the page, they have undeniable chemistry, even though Kat refuses to acknowledge the buzz. Both are caught off guard by the unfamiliar feelings that arise within themselves. I’ve got to say, I am a sucker for the “claim him/her” scene and this book did not disappoint. SQUEEEE!! Individually each character is strong and a person I would love to know (especially Wild). They are hot and sexy without each other, bring them together and it had to be explosive. During all of this TNT enforced chemistry a brilliant story of love, betrayal, and loyalty emerges.
The opening scene when Kat is flashing back to what transpired the night before had me hook line and sinker. My mouth dry and hung open and I couldn’t read fast enough. I love her thoughts of herself when looking in the mirror, the moment captured perfectly. This was our first insight into Kat. I love when an author lets us see the flawed side of a character, it’s telling and intimate, and the reader is able to identify with the character making a connection. This was accomplished early on, during the prologue, which at times takes an entire book to conquer. From this moment on I loved getting to know Kat either from her POV or Wild’s POV. She is fiercely independent, strong, confident, courageous, and sarcastic with a tone of bitter regardless or because of her past. We know by her interactions and thoughts something has happened to bring her to this small town in Maine but what?
It not only his piercing blue eyes, dark hair, or perfect muscular body (they don’t hurt) it’s how he loves or in other words “makes love”. 110% raw, unfiltered, and all in, he savors and adores a woman’s body. Gahhhhh what woman wouldn't want that? His one word or simple practical answers are insightful and blatant…and most of the time hot (very hot). He is what he is and he whole-heartedly owns it in fact he is proud if not a bit cocky about it. The fact that he immediately gets down to business or is ALWAYS READY to get down to business is only an added bonus (did I mention hot?). “Don’t make me repeat it” he growled. OMG! (Kat was strong. She fought to have her new freedom and has to continue fighting to keep it - she has secrets to hold. She is escaping a past that puts her and others in danger, but yet she is like a moth to a flame when it comes to Lane. Defenses start to lower the more that dirty mouthed bad boy of town starts to invade on her every thought, the more she starts to struggle to resist..
You will read this book with your thighs squeezed tightly together it's that good. This book will leave you feeling hot and needing some friction between your legs - just to ease the pain and want. She writes a book that makes you want to keep reading just to get to the end and find out what the hell is going on, but yet to slow down and savor just so it doesn't end. She has this way of making you fall into the story and forgetting about real life just for a few hours. I love her style, the way she makes you fall in deep from the beginning. These are the books that stay with you. The book that when someone asks you the hottest book you have read lately you eagerly respond WILD!

Lane’s brother Ridge’s book is up next, hopefully we get to see what happened between him and his ex.

5 HOLY SHIZBALLS- THAT WAS HOT STARS!!
Well this one turned out to be really good! After reading several reviews, I was convinced that this was definitely my cuppa.. and although mid-way through I wanted to hurl my Kindle through a window; by the end, everything made sense..

She's fuck the shit out of him then push him away.. she'd get jealous and then act like she didn't care...I really wanted to kick her ass.. but Lane kept pushing her.. and although he kinda messed up a little bit once--it wasn't really to bad in the whole scheme of things. And once we find out why Kat keeps holding on to Lane and then pushing him away..well, it all fell together and made sense.
What Kat's been running from though, eventually finds her and will Lane be able to get between her and the past that won't let her go?
Yep, I ended up loving this one..a great story with two characters with off the charts chemistry, not too much angst but just enough to keep things interesting, a wounded alpha and a feisty woman in need of saving.. yep, a perfect formula in my opinion!

Well lets say the same about Kat the newcomer in town. But she doesn't fuck around I should add. She had a very too many drinks and ends up having a "one night stand" with the one and only Wild. They are both not looking for a relationship so it works for the both of them. Kat is running from something in her past. You get that right off the bat or at least I did.
This book has all kinds of dirty talk. I love me some dirty talk so do not mind me as I say this but sometimes I feel it can be over done, well Wild's dirty talk was a little overboard to me. At first it as all cool and sexy but then I got kind of tired of what the next thing he was going to say was something getting between Kat's legs.
I do liked that the book was kind of a short type of book. I think it all mixed well together. Yes it is a erotic book so no complaints on the sex but wish there was more plot. But you do get quite a bit of a plot towards the end of the books so that made up for it.
Overall it was a good story about two people who have had fucked up past that connect in their own way and own it.

Phew – this is one seriously hot read. I really do enjoy me a dirty talking hero and Lane Wild is a seriously FILTHY talking hero and I loved every second. I think I’ve read everything that Adriane Leigh has ever published and I’ve always considered that she does the steamy side of romance very well so I was delighted to see her totally playing to her strengths in Wild and writing a full on erotic romance. Let me tell you – this is smokin’ hot!!
We begin Wild with Kat Kennedy moving out to the Maine coast to live in a fairly run down beach house obviously trying to escape something in her past. She just wants to be alone but one cocky grin from Lane Wild in the local bar has her practically melting at his feet, unable to resist his sexy charm. They share one very passionate night together and both are determined to go their separate ways but their attraction to one another has an almost gravitational pull and they can’t help but succumb time and again and they start to develop a closeness that neither expected.
I so loved Lane Wild. He really is a very Kristen Ashleyesque type of hero – he’s very alpha, brash, straight-talking and and dominant in such a pantie-melting way. He’s a firm believer in the ‘When Harry Met Sally’ school of thought that a guy and a gal can’t be friends, the sex always gets in the way and is determined that he and Kat will just have casual yet very sexy hookups. He’s also got a past that he wants to leave behind and is pretty shocked when he finds himself developing feelings for Kat and begins to feel very protective and possessive towards her.
Kat cut quite a lonely figure through most of this novel and I found myself really admiring her strength and fortitude. She’s obviously running from something and is quite nonplussed by the growing attachment she feels for Lane. She’s had a rough ride and, despite his devil may care persona that he carefully cultivates, she’s really warmed by Lane’s affection towards her but also wary, clearly not wanting to be hurt again. But oh boy, is their connection ever SEXY AS FUCK!!
There’s also a suspense plot bubbling gently under the surface where you probably won’t notice it when it explodes into action and the last part of the book is pulsating and action-packed in a way I really hadn’t expected.
So this is one hot sexy ride with a dominant, pantie-melting hero and a feisty, kickass heroine. I’m really happy to see that this is book 1 in a new series and that other characters are going to get their stories. It’s my favourite kind of series – no cliffhangers and each book is a stand alone but the characters that you’ve bonded so well with return and we get to see them after their HEA. Can’t wait!

This book well yeah this book will make you say all the shit I just typed LOL
Wild is as Wild does! Holy fucking (no pun intended) moly! If this book doesn't turn you on in some way or another, make you wanna grab your man or your toy or whatev. I just, I just don't know. Jesus what the fuck did I just read oh yeah sex/fucking, sex/fucking sex, sex, sex and did I mention sex/fucking?
So I decided to go with a neutral rating of 3 stars because well there were parts I liked and there were parts I didn't like.
Not much plot here ladies and gentleman BUT sex? Oh yeah plenty and I mean plenty of sex! Last 30% and Epilogue, however, was the best part of Wild and Kat's story.
Kat is a beautiful red-head who is new in town. Lane Wild lives in town and they first meet each other at a bar. One thing leads to another and so we have a book filled with Kat and Wild (or Lane as Kat likes to call him but he prefers not) doing, getting and fucking wild. These two have pasts and secrets just like everyone and honestly one of the only reasons why I kept reading was the fact that I wanted/needed to know these things. Needless to say it would be a while before I would find such information out BUT I am glad I kept reading because as I stated ^^^ up there the last part of the book was the best.
This was a quick read well because you know I don't need to repeat myself over and over again. I am sure that would annoy you. Come to think of it that would be one of the things I didn't like repetition, sex, dick twitching, fucking, sex, tits well you get the point. Lane also called her Sugar throughout the entire book which I could not stand ugghhhhh. I did however like these two characters and they definitely had the sexual chemistry. Kat was also feisty as I understand red-heads are supposed to be. They fit each other perfectly. Wild is all alpha maleness but he also had a sweet side as I started to see him fall for Kat. These two tried to fight the relationship thing and just be the fuck buddies that they were but time would soon change that and Wild would try is hardest to break down Kat's walls.
Now, I have given you my warnings above so you will have to decide if this is something you want to read or not. I will say I almost gave up but I didn't and I am not sorry I read it. The author definitely knows how to turn up the heat. I will read her other stories because, well I liked the characters and there were certain parts I didn't see coming. As I have said many times before all authors have different writing styles and this was my first read of Adriane's!

That moment when you realize the H in book one has fucked ALL the h's in the SERIES!!!
I tried to read this when it came out a couple of years ago. Pretty sure I DNF'd when the bizarro near threesome occurred. I missed the H's ex-fiancé, who fucked his little brother when she was still engaged to H, showed up and then we learned about the whole subplot of the h's past...an OM/husband, a crazy, violent senator with ties to the mob. I guess I should have kept reading.
On a side note about Melissa and Dillon (h in book 3), I feel like a broken record...OW don't bother me when they're purposeful...unrepentant manwhores are not redeemable H's. Neither are guys that need to go "fuck her out of his system" - cuz the dude gets to have sex with strange at the same time he shoots an arrow, or arrows, through the love of his life's heart. Cuz...romance author :/
Honestly, most of the situations h's find themselves in with H/OW in the books that piss me off, I feel sure IRL women would just walk on without a backward glance...and if they don't, they deserve the shit that rains down. Sorry, no sympathy or respect for doormats. And if that's the case, IRL women walking out, why are so many books being written where horrible emotional trauma/drama is perpetrated on the h by the H via his predilection of OW?
At least there was a small amount of grovel throughout the book and she made him work for it a few times. (*shrugs*) It wasn't anything special, pretty much just average...kinda like this book.
SG Ladies: The H/h sex was pretty hot...so, pluses for that ;) There's a strange scene in the bar where one of the H's previous lovers walks in on the H getting the h off and SHE JOINS IN. The H and OW BOTH get the h off and then the OW just walks out after the h comes. I was like...I can't even think of a word to describe my WTF moment. Then a few days later, the H is pissy because the h tells him she's happy he isn't interested in anything more than FWB (which H made crystal clear is all he wanted from her...until he wanted more and didn't tell her) and because he's trying to "erase her pussy power" over his dick/ego, whatever, he lets another woman go down on him while he thinks of the h...the h interrupts, of course, and then the H/h are fucking a few minutes later :/ Also...very spoilery...the OM/Husband rapes the h after H/h are together - mentioned for those with triggers.

Honestly, most of the situations h's find themselves in with H/OW in the books that piss me off, I feel sure IRL women would just walk on without a backward glance...and if they don't, they deserve the shit that rains down. Sorry, no sympathy or respect for doormats. And if that's the case, IRL women walking out, why are so many books being written where horrible emotional trauma/drama is perpetrated on the h by the H via his predilection of OW?
At least there was a small amount of grovel throughout the book and she made him work for it a few times. (*shrugs*) It wasn't anything special, pretty much just average...kinda like this book.
SG Ladies: The H/h sex was pretty hot...so, pluses for that ;) There's a strange scene in the bar where one of the H's previous lovers walks in on the H getting the h off and SHE JOINS IN. The H and OW BOTH get the h off and then the OW just walks out after the h comes. I was like...I can't even think of a word to describe my WTF moment. Then a few days later, the H is pissy because the h tells him she's happy he isn't interested in anything more than FWB (which H made crystal clear is all he wanted from her...until he wanted more and didn't tell her) and because he's trying to "erase her pussy power" over his dick/ego, whatever, he lets another woman go down on him while he thinks of the h...the h interrupts, of course, and then the H/h are fucking a few minutes later :/ Also...very spoilery...the OM/Husband rapes the h after H/h are together - mentioned for those with triggers.

So I wasn't going to read this book. I knew it had a huge pet peeve of mine in it. I'm in a epic slump though and picked it up. HOT DAMN am I glad I did.

My only complaint is it was too short. Nah, not really. It was just right. Lane, Lane, Lane...Wild is a perfect last name for this small town bad boy. But that all changes when Kat Kennedy comes to town searching for anything, then getting mixed up with the likes of Lane. But she gets more than she can handle. Both of our MCs are running from a painful past...can they find hope and happiness together? They get along just fine, better than just fine, and once Lane starts in with his dirty talk, Kat just can't seem to resist.

This is scorchio hot! Kat Kennedy moves to a coastal town in Maine, and immediately falls upon a hot guy in a local bar. She has the fortunate opportunity to spend a blazing night with him, but if only she had gotten his name. Damn her for overdosing on the alcohol.
Lane Wild was the local blue eyed beau. His chiseled features and alpha demeanour ensured his easy way with the ladies. And it had been easy, temporary and light liaisons until Kat turned up on the scene.
I enjoyed this steamy read. At first, Lane's alpha tendencies appeared a tad base, and I was wondering if I could endure him, but I was saved...by Kat's endearing banter. She helped me hang on & then really start enjoying it. She pushed out those boobies, threw her red, strawberry flavoured hair out, and we were smitten!
They were both hiding secret pasts that slowly filtered out. Kat's a little more all consuming, should I say, than Lanes..
A good little steamy, suspenseful (at the end) read. Looking forward to Ridge's turn..

The plot is not exactly creative, and with some questionable WTF things done by both hero and heroine, I'd have to say that this one was just okay, and kind of nasty in a bad way, during a couple of moments.
As the ending came, everything was too convoluted, then wrapped in a cute HEA.
However, the smutastic steam-scenes were deliciously dirty!
I'm interested enough to give the next book a try.

3.5 HOT AND WILD STARS!
Soo the title kind of says it all huh? This book was wild ,from the steamy scenes to the drama and passion.I picked up this book thinking it would be a light read that would get my mind off of a book that wrecked me. After seeing the reviews being quite good I thought I would check it out.
Lane Wild is pretty much a player, he doesn't do relationships and he is up front about it. Living in Maine his whole life he is well known and adored. One night a fiery red head catches his eyes and things get pretty hot! One night that was all it was meant to be..One night of pleasure but it seems like fate had something else in store for them.
Kat Kennedy has just moved to Maine, she is running from her past and determined to leave it all behind. She usually doesn't do things like this, she tends to stay clear of most people. But the hot guy she meets bring out her wild side.One night won't change anything..or will it?
'He looked at me with a sexy sparkle in his endlessly deep, arctic-blue eyes.His full lips turned up in a seductive grin.He was so much fucking trouble.I could see it pouring off him.'
I struggled to rate this book, I didn't really enjoy the first half of it.The steamy hot scenes..oh there was too much urgh overload. I was like uhmm where has the story gone? Can something please happen other than these two fucking? I felt like I didn't really get to know the characters and it was pretty sloppy.I have nothing again hot scenes but come on I needed a hell of a lot more. I understand that the author was trying to get across the chemistry and connection between them but still don't over do it like that! Hey some of you may love this book and this first half, to each their own but it just wasn't going anywhere in my opinion.
The second half of the book was wayy better, fast paced and more action, drama and twists.Phew! I wasn't expecting the twists and moments that happened and found myself really enjoying it.
At times throughout this book I felt like bitch slapping Kat, why dya have to keep pushing Lane away? Why!?
Okay I get it in a way, she was trying to protect everyone blah blah get a grip, sometimes you need someone to lean on and share the problems with.How long can you keep pushing someone away who wants to help? How far will you run from your past until it catches up with you?

This is what comes to my mind when I think of Wild after reading this book. I thought Adriane's The Mourning After Series was hot, but I have to admit the temperature rose to scorching levels with this new couple, Lane and Kat. The sexy scenes and dirty talk is enough to get the heart racing.
"Fuck, baby." I lunged at her, fisted her hair in one hand, arched her head back. I tugged and her eyes flared as a moan escaped her throat. "I hear what you're saying, but this fucking body craves me. It wants my lips." I kissed around her ear. "My tongue." I ran my tongue up the column of her neck. "My dick."

Even though these two have their fun time with each other quite often, they also have things from their pasts that are heartbreaking and dangerous. Sometimes things they would rather leave behind have a funny way of showing up when least excepted. The ending was pretty intense and it had me turning the pages to find out what would happen, but Adriane can pull off a great ending. Another surprise was that Lane has a brother, Ridge. There was a part in this book that made me not very fond of Ridge, but he will be getting his own book next so I shall see. This was a great start to a sizzling new series.

Kat Kennedy moves to Rock Island to escape her past and has a one night stand with Lane Wild. They continue to have a friends with benefits arrangement because neither do the serious relationship thing but they can't seem to stay away from each other.
Oh hell I have now been ruined for all future leading men, Lane is bossy, cocky and a smart & dirty mouth that didn't fail to turn me on....
This is mostly in Lane's POV and I felt I got right into his head but not so much in Kat's but by the time I had finished I felt that I knew them both pretty well, the plot was brilliant and with the little "twist" that no one could have predicted and not what I expected at all.
I loved all the characters in this book and will look forward to reading more about them, I am also very excited that it seems there will be another book in this series based on Lane's brother Ridge and I am sure he will be as hot as Lane!
This is one smokin hot read with plenty of hot sex that will leave you squirming in your seat and in need of a few cold showers..... The sexual chemistry between Kat and Lane is fantastic, the sex scenes are realistic and well written. This is one of my best and hottest reads of 2013.

It wasn't dreadful, it wasn't good.
I was just... bored.
Layout of the relationship.. Well, after a one night stand that Kat wants to forget, she keeps on running into Lane Wild, (he likes to be called Wild, she prefers to call him Lane; i get that... 'Wild!' is a pretty odd word to be calling in the throes)... then they have a lot of sex, lots of spats inbetween the sex, either about them 'not doing relationships', or her denying she wants him, or him getting sucked off by someone else, or her flirting with a 50 year old balding bloke... Then their pasts turn up at 70%, there's some drama and they realise they love each other. Then it ends.
So you can see why i didn't like it.
In general, the characters were not very interesting, no original personality. There wasn't anything great in the actual drama, wasn't very emotional, no good side characters, no fun, not really romantic.
Personally... The sex scenes did nothing for me, i've read far better. There wasn't any good descriptions, or word play, it wasn't delicious.
There was a bit of girl on girl, and when Lane was caught with another girl, the LC's both admitted that they liked the thought of a threesome (not out loud), which made me believe something was going to happen with that, thankfully didn't, but why go there otherwise?
