At 22, I began my professional writing career as an advertising copywriter in London, England. But I wanted to live in America.

At 27, I moved to San Francisco still working as a copywriter but I wanted to play in a band.

At 33, I became a country singer in a band in Los Angeles but I wanted to make films.

At 37, I moved to Nashville, cut an album then quit the music biz to make documentaries but I wanted to be a photographer.

At 42, I became a photographer but I wanted to write a book.

Finally, I'm writing books. Sorry it took so long.

I've always had a fascination with the subject of regression, so when I was given the chance to read this fictional take on it, I was sold!

Mild mannered Tim Jeffries is regressed to a previous incarnation, back to the year 1888. The regression proves to be a really powerful experience, and it now appears that his past life personality is taking over his whole life - leaving his wife in fear for hers!

Can you imagine being regressed, but were then unable to come back to full consciousness, back to the present? Your mind being overtaken by the personality that you were in a previous life? -add the fact that the character from the past has a very dark and dangerous personality, and you've got major problems. Could it happen ? I have no idea, but I do know a psychiatric nurse who has seen patients who were left extremely disturbed after undergoing regression, though I'm not suggesting that what takes place between these pages could actually happen.

Although this is a work of fiction, the idea behind it is quite interesting not to mention clever. Some of the events are not for the faint hearted, but, for me it was a page turner. I simply had to find out what happened next, and all in all it made for a really good read, confirmed by the fact that I read it in one sitting.

NOPE. Am sorry to say this one did not work for me.

It begins with a cocktail party of neighbors and friends....with prizes....one being a session of REGRESSION - a process by which hypnotic channeling allows people to go back in time and discover their past lives.

But all does not go well when a mishap occurs and the winner shows the true evil of his past.....complete with blood and gore.

The writing style is fine (except for a few typos here and there) and I really liked the premise of the storyline, but overall found the actions of the characters quite unbelievable.

When the protagonist wants to learn about his past lives things go wrong. He discovers that he was Jack the Ripper, who comes back and takes over his body. Is he really who he says to be, or is it all a lie?
