How to Date a Rockstar

Get ready to toss your panties on stage — it’s gonna get wild!

Summer

After being burned one too many times, I’d sworn off men for good. And, it was working. My life was finally on an even keel.

As soon as I saw him, I knew he was Trouble. I was instantly attracted to him and that pissed me off, so I decided to take my frustrations out on the arrogant stranger with the sexy Scottish accent. We clashed like thunder and lightning, and I was fairly certain I was winning our verbal battle until…

Surprise! My mother showed up. From across the country. And assumed that the sexy Scotsman was my boyfriend. The fake boyfriend I’d invented to get her off my back.

Knox

Fake dating the feisty and breathtakingly gorgeous Summer was no hardship. I played along for the sake of her mother, spending a weekend at a luxurious spa with Summer and her parents. Though Summer was fiercely determined to keep her distance from me, I was even more determined to get her into my bed.

My plan was to seduce her, but it turned out all along, she was seducing me. Despite my no commitment vow, I fell hard for the sassy lass. But when she discovered that I wasn't who I said I was, everything fell apart.

Grab your backstage pass to meet the boys of Ghost Parker and get ready for an electrifying tale of passion, betrayal, and the healing power of love. Turn up the volume and prepare to be utterly consumed by this rockstar romance — a steamy and erotic tale of mistaken identity, fake dating, and enemies becoming lovers. Lose yourself in this glittering story of deception, desire, and the redemptive power of love amidst the chaos of stardom.

This book really started off at least a 4 star. I loved the meet cute and how things played out afterwards. But about 65-70% into the book everything came to a screeching halt. The "conflict" was resolved and the last 3rd of the book was basically a bunch of fluff and smut that was not needed. Don't get me wrong, I love reading spicy books but every time these two made love in the last half of the book all they could talk about is how more "connected" they felt and how that time was so much more emotional than the time before and it really got old. I found myself skipping several pages at the end because of that. I feel like this book could have ended nicely when the conflict resolved but I guess the author had to have a page count to make so the last half was just filler.

Or instead of ending it once the initial conflict resolved the author could have started another concern Summer brought up all throughout the book which was how Knox would be while out being a rockstar or on tour. Instead of the filler/fluff at the end the focus could have been made on that and maybe created a little more conflict with something happening while he goes on tour or something. But literally Summer talks about her concerns of him going on tour and how often they are going to see each other and the next chapter it's 3 months into the tour on a break and they are on vacation. The rockstar elements in this book were few and that could have been a great time to show how life was on tour and how the couple handled it.

The epilogue was also kind of disappointing. It is 5 years later and there is no mention as to how the couple may have gotten engaged or when they got married but all of a sudden they have 2 kids in those five years. Prior to reading the epilogue I was upset we never got clarification about Knox's past but the epilogue did provide some clarification. But I was so disappointed about the whole end of the book that the wrapping up of his past really didn't have the impact it could have.

Scottie McHottie!

Oof. I can just picture Knox’s hot Scottish accent. Add in all those naughty, dirty ways that he can worship a woman & I.am.SOLD!

This book was pretty funny & as such, kind of ridiculous (duh) but still really cute & highly entertaining. Summer drove me crazy a lot of the time, but I liked her character too, and her parents (while a bit much…) were really cool.

I really appreciated that this book wasn’t quite as melodramatic as the others were as far as an extended, unnecessary breakup period or whatever went. I also absolutely loved the scene that was painted in the epilogue & would like to book my trip immediately to wherever it (allegedly) took place in Scotland.

I liked this one much more than the last book. That bring said, the climax at the end left much time be desired. It was... anticlimactic. He freaks out, but he didn't blow everything up, so he just went home afterward. No harm, no foul.

I do agree with another review that the ending felt super rushed. They had a party, then suddenly it is vacation after the tour. Then it is 5 years later. It was a bit jarring.

There was one issue I saw, where it refe6to Kaylie as the drummer's brother, rather than him being hers. There was one other issue, but I don't recall it now.

I can't wait to read the next book. I am so interested in getting into Ghost's head and learning more about him.

Loved it!

Another great story in this series! The way Knox and Summer first get together is hilarious! I actually think my favorite part is Chapter 26, Ryders wedding. It was so sweet how all the guys were reminiscing about how they first started together and how there lives were changing but that they would always have each other. I'm really looking forward to Ghosts story. He is such an intriguing a hot and intense character with a good heart

Hot Series

Loved Knox and Summers story. Both had bad love experiences and met unexpectedly and got together faking boyfriend/girlfriend to help Summer's lie roger parents. There were some funny parts in beginning of book with their banter and it was pleasant to see Knox and Summer fall in love. All the other characters in this book were great. Looking forward to reading next book in this series.

Doormat Indeed

He lies to her for most of the bookbut handily enough her own loved ones gaslight her.

Wow hes so narcissistic and controlling.

Everything he does for her, "for" her its with a reflection of how romantic is makes him look.

Doormat indeed.

Imagine smiling through being infantilised like that.

Such a Patriarchial Parable

Yes! to the Ghost Parker boys!

I love this band. The members of Ghost Parker are solid. Brothers. Ride or die.
This time they help Knox, when he falls foul of the lovely Summer.
Their story is really special and it includes some great characters; Summer’s parents are stand up people, as is bff Celia.
Great third book in this enjoyable series.

Great Book

You never know when you might find love? It might be in a coffee shop after running out on a one nightstand. Or when you make up a fake boyfriend for your mom so she doesn’t worry about you. When that fake boyfriend becomes real and meets your mom only minutes after meeting you. Come find out how their fake relationship develops over time. It’s a fun ride!

Insta Lust!
The last 15% were rushed.
The "drama" was a bit stupid but since it was easily resolved (the h didn't even not notice)
Haven't read the previous books but all female characters were super positive and friendly.
No OW/OM after they meet!

wow

Wow, just wow! I really enjoyed Knox and Summers story. Summer was so skittish after having had such bad luck with men. Knox had been burned as well. Together, they helped heal each other and were able to let their love shine through. Can’t wait to see what happens next.

Knox and Summer

There is a major difference between sass and just plain rudeness. For most of the book Summer was rude, judgemental and bitchy. The only reason I gave it 3 stars is because of Knox and Summers parents, they were sweet. Knox definitely drew the short straw with her.

Let Down.

I really liked this story but I felt it was rushed at the end and generic. The two previous books were better. However I will be reading the rest of the books!

Not my favourite

Storyline just didn’t grip me like the last two books. The spice was muted and Summer dull compared to all the other interesting characters in this series.

I loved how this started out but somewhere along the lines I failed to do it for me. I do have to say I’m glad the ending wrapped up part of the storyline.

cute

It was a cute book, but it was a little boring. I loved how she incorporated some Scottish phrases and speech patterns.
