I’m not really sure how to feel about this book. It took a very unexpected turn. While it was, as a friend would call it, spicy…and I liked the spice…I’m just not sure that it was believable that everyone in Ghost’s circle would be so supportive. I also hate how Remi’s story is was never really resolved. I don’t know. Maybe I need more time to process the events of the book.
I was a little intimidated when I first started the book since it was almost 500 pages but I finished it within 2-3 days. It was great writing and the plot was fast-paced and kept me interested the whole time. I loved Ghost's troubled past and how it shaped him as a man and how he overcame so much to be happy. Grey was another dynamic character who I fell for and I could really see the love they had for each other.
Remi was the character that kept this book from being five stars. I didn't really connect with her. I didn't like how she was so in love with Grey but a week after they took a break she was in Ghost's bed. It just made her connection with Grey cheap and not as genuine as it was portrayed to be. And then that had me question how much she really loved Ghost and Grey vs just some lust being with both incredibly attractive and powerful men. She was a little whiny and I felt more of a connection between Ghost and Grey without her needing to be involved.
I didn't like how the conflict of the story wasn't completely resolved. Sure, Grey and Ghost forgave her for what happened but there was so much more to that story. Where did her career go? Did she ever get to redeem herself? Did Ghost and Grey ever publicly say that they forgave her? These questions were never answered.
The book had some nice spicy scenes, but I was so disappointed when Ghost's and Grey's first "connection" faded to black. I feel like that was a super important part of the story with Ghost's past that was left out and needed to be a part of the book to feel what both of them were going through during that time. The epilogue was also a little disappointing as it didn't really show much into the future. Yes, they were all still in a relationship, but it was just some fluff/spicy story and didn't really wrap anything up for the story which is what I feel epilogues are for.
Overall I think this might have been my favorite book of the series. It's very close with Sid's book, book number 2, as my two favorites. I'm excited to go onto Bash's book given he's the last one standing to complete the series.
I was wondering how this story & the 3-way relationship was going to end up developing. I felt so sad for Greyson for so much of the story. It was obvious from previous books that Ghost was dealing with some major stuff from his past, but his story just got sadder & sadder. Parts of the story were definitely very anxiety provoking—particularly the part where the major betrayal happened, even though I think most readers with 1/2 a brain would know what happened wasn’t as it appeared. Honestly, I was very disappointed by how that all ended up, too. I expected some kind of justice to have been served and can’t believe that Remi wasn’t vindicated. (Side note: if you’re running from your past, and you have an odd name like Remington (especially if you’re female), maybe shortening it to Remi & expecting that to be the equivalent of glasses on Clark Kent is a bit too simplistic?
This story was pretty hot though, and I’ve really enjoyed this fun little series. One more to go!
I love a triangular relationship, and this was both mmf and mfm coz they’re an equilateral triangle, not an isosceles triangle (good analogy Summer!). As usual, the long standing characters of the band, their significant others and the back up characters of the crew are all the best. Bro code ride or die with Ghost Parker. We finally get to delve beyond the surface of the enigma that is Johnny “Ghost” Parker and it’s amazing to see Greyson become a main character after being in all the books as Talia’s friend, who we met in book one. Remi is a good female lead, but not my favourite. I’m not even sure why. She was written well, she is a good person, and she is lucky as hell with her men, but her story is sad and comes with zero amounts of justice and I just don’t know if she could’ve fought harder to clear her name?? And what’s with Dawn not getting her comeuppance. That’s annoying and feels unfinished. Love the series though, just amazing characters, and now on to the last in the series with Bash.
Uhm, was it just me, or did that seem anticlimactic? Like what happened with Dawn? They never went and proved she did it, then sued her for the damages she did to all three of them plus the band. Remi will never be able to work as a journalist EVER after both incidents. She will never find work. Greyson lost his position on a TV series he started on. Like yeah, that's damages and deformation, Ghost well he didn't really lose. He actually sort of gained from it. And what about the message in the beginning? It seemed like she was going to have more drama from that, but absolutely nothing. This one was a bit of a disappointment after reading the others. I've been waiting for Bash's story, but now I'm not so sure. Maybe the author got burned out with this series. It just seemed unfinished and lacking. I can't believe that's it.
I have been looking forward to reading Ghost's story, and I wasn't disappointed. I very much enjoyed this book, other than a couple minor things that were disappointing.
I hate that Dawn just got away with everything. She could have ruined everyone's lives, and literally nothing was done to her. The recording could have been used with the exec's, but nope. They just didn't bother turning it all in and let it go.
I liked the three of them together. I didn't originally realize that Grey was the other person with Ghost when I read the blurb, but once I started reading it struck me who it was. And I was very pleased! I was hoping he would have his own happy ending.
I am not looking forward to the next book, though. Sid's book with Bash and the baby was my least favorite, so I'll have to hype this next one up to myself to finish the series.
Greyson has had a crush on Ghost for years, the feeling is not mutual (or is it?). Greyson is also dating Remi but his feelings are confused with how he feels about Ghost.
Alot happens in their story - lies, deception, healing, acceptance and finally finding where they belong.
My only grievance is that Dawn didn't get her fall from grace - they could have gone after her but that didn't happen.😠
But Sooo very very good! I was really looking forward to this one because Ghost is such a fascinating character, and though it was definitely a surprise how it turned out, it certainly didn't disappoint! It was all so very hot, and still a great story. I was touched by Ghosts vulnerability, And loved it that they were able to find love and pure happiness together❤
Wow, just wow! What can I say ghost, gray, and Remi… A match made in heaven. They each have their own problems, but together they made a whole. I was extremely upset though that we didn’t see Dawn get her comeuppance. Somebody needed to take her down hard. That was very disappointing. Can’t wait to see what happens next.
This was quite a thought provoking story with all main characters having troubled past lives. So glad Ghost, Remi and Grey found happiness at the end of story. Would be nice to know if the gal from Remis previous job got caught by management in her lies and lost her job and possibly went to jail. Looking forward to reading last book in this series.
I'm extremely disappointed in this book. I've been waiting for Ghost's story from the beginning of the series. I expected it to be the best one, but I was sorely mistaken. Definitely not my cup of tea.
I love that this wasn’t just a couple falling in love and getting through trouble like the normal love stories, all these characters were going through so much so I was totally happy with ending, plus this book was hot
Another great book by a talented author. It was emotionally riveting and extremely erotic. The characters overcome obstacles with the help of others. Excellent story.
