This book starts very strong and catches your attention. It focuses on the FMC Daya, who is planning to take over a pack once run by her father, who was killed during a Fated Plague. It chronicles the emotional and fast-paced journey of the coming together of Daya and her sisters. She faces the conflict of fulfilling her purpose or accepting a fated mate.

Highly Recommended Read.

ARC!

Oh, this book is so good! I could not put it down!! The plot was great, I love the adventure, mystery, and romance. This book kept me on my toes! The end went too fast for my taste, and I have tons of questions, but since we will be getting book two with another mc, I think those questions will be answered. I can't wait to read S and T story! I am so ready for their love.

This is the very first book I've read with this type of trope. And I'd like to say that it did not disappoint! Loved reading about Daya and her journey/adventure to her family's territory and trying to reclaim what was rightfully hers. The love story within was so good, it kept me on my toes. The rest of the series will be exciting to read!

Fearing Fate by J.N. Stein is a slow burn yet very steamy wolf shifter romance. This new author writes such a great story that I’m pulled right into her wolf shifter world.

At a young age, strong female lead Diamond (Daya) Stone finds herself torn away from her family. Her and her four sisters are sent to different parts of the world for their own safety. Over many years, Daya brews a plot to challenge the Alpha and take back her family's land that was lost years ago when the fated plague took the lives of so many she loves.

Darius Barnett never wanted to be alpha but found himself as alpha leader to River Run Pack after his parents are both killed by the fated plague and his eldest brother dies in a challenge fight.

Daya desperately wants to take back what once belonged to her family and challenge Alpha Darius. But… she feels something she never has. What is this pull? Will she follow through and challenge for Alpha or will she give in?

I loved reading this novel so much that I really had a hard time putting it down. The scenes are so well described that I could vividly picture each moment as they unfolded and I felt ulike each scene gave me new emotions. I actually laughed out loud, I cried, smiled and grumbled in anger. I am very much looking forward to the next book in the series and can’t wait to find out the next adventures of the Stone girls in Rejecting Fate.

This was the first time, I read her book. I haven't read a werewolf book, in along time. I Love it. I was Hook, from the first chapter. This book has unforgettable characters, slow burn, steamy wolf shifters romance, to me this book, was also emotional. Love it!!

Fearing Fate by J.N. Stein is not the first Werewolf/fantasy book I've read, but it is now my favourite.

Fearing Fate is book 1 in the Stone Sisters Series. I love reading books with a strong FMC and J.N. Stein did not disappoint.

I have never been so invested in a genre like this, but wow, Jenna is an amazing author and I can't wait to continue the series and follow her sisters on their journey.

OMG! You absolutely need to read this book! It includes all my favorite themes, from supernatural creatures like werewolves, Strong FMC to enemies into lovers. 📚

I've been a fan of supernatural stories for as long as I can remember, whether it's vampires, witches, werewolves, or any other mystical beings. Getting an ARC of this book was like a dream come true for me, especially since I hadn't read a supernatural book in a while. 🌌

The main characters, Daya and Darius, have an intense and captivating chemistry, especially with the enemies-to-lovers dynamic. Daya, the female lead, is strong and badass, which is exactly what I love to see. 💪🏼

I also appreciated how the author introduced and developed the side characters, particularly the Stone sisters and their bond. Knowing that this is just Book 1 and more is on the way is definitely a bonus. 🤩

While I felt the last few chapters rushed a bit, I'm still a fan of the writing style and can't wait to read more. 📝

P.S. A small suggestion for the author: a more inviting cover page would have been preferable. We all tend to judge a book by its cover, after all. ✨

Vibes: did you ever wish there was a version of Twilight had a werewolves’ perspective, but make it more NA? If so, this might be the series for you. Each book follows one of the Stone sisters and book 1 is filled with action, romance and all the emotions!

Tropes:
Fated Mates
Forced proximity
Impossible love
Spice with lots of dirty talk
Frienemies to lovers
They both swore off love

Synopsis: Fated Mates were a thing of the past due to the Fated Plague. Daya aka Diamond Stone is the eldest of 5 daughters of Alpha Bronson Stone. When then Fated Plague took the lives of fated mates at increasing rate, Alpha Bronson Stone sent his daughters away to separate homes to keep them safe from threats to Veritas Pack. For decades, no new fated mates were made known. Only chosen mates were. When a women’s training position opens in part of her pack’s original territory, now called Running River Pack, Daya makes her way back to reclaim what is rightfully theirs… but she is met with the impossible: a fated mate. Daya never wanted a mate: whether chosen or fated after all the suffering the Fated Plague brought. Will Daya reject the fated mate bond? Find out in Book 1 in the Stone Sisters Series.

Likes: Sage, Aurelian, the Stone sisters, the lore, the pack dynamics, the friendships

Dislikes: I realize I’m the exception to the majority who will eat up the amount of dirty talk.. I prefer more banter to anything else. Daya and her mate had plenty of banter as well. This is also my first shifter NA romance.

All in all, it was a cool take on fated mates and werewolf curses! Thank you to J.N. Stein for introducing me to your fun, action filled world!

J.N. Stein’s book Fearing Fate, the first in the Stone Sister Series is a thrilling trip into the omegaverse. Following a tragedy that has decimated wolves everywhere, Diamond and her sisters have lost everything.

Returning to their home territory is hard for the for the sisters and finding true love isn’t something that exists for the current alpha any longer with fated mates being a thing of the past.

J.N. Stein grips the reader and draws them in from the beginning. You’re going to find yourself not wanting to put this story down and go right back to the beginning and read it again. If you enjoy fated mates and the omegaverse I highly recommend checking this book out!

I absolutely loved this book! When I tell you I couldn’t get enough I mean that. The FMC is so strong and beautiful. A warrior and a force to be reckoned with.
I loved every character in this book that was meant to be loved. I loved the story line. I’m a big fantasy romance girl and a shifter romance is my favorite by far. I was absolutely shocked when my sister told me this book was J.N’s first book because it was incredible.
The MMC is a hottie alpha. He is everything and I love the way he challenges the FMC. I love that they push each other and the banter between them.
I could go on for days about all the wonderful things about this story but I really think you should just read it!

Everything about this book pulled me in, Strong and fiery FMC, the laughs and the cries. I couldn't put it down. Onto the next one as soon as possible! I will have to pace myself, this is one of the series you don't want to end. So grab your fantasy lover reading essentials and get going!

This book captivated me as we followed Daya and Darius. Daya is the initial point of view that you start with in order to understand where she's coming from before she finds herself with the pack where Darius is the alpha. Right off the bat, you get Daya's backstory to understand why she is putting herself in this new pack. The story continues to develop in a multiple different details which continued to keep me interested in the storyline. I enjoyed the family aspect as well as the fighting aspects throughout the story. I also enjoyed the dynamic between Daya and Darius the whole time.

This book does involve multiple povs with a focus on Daya and Darius. This book also covers family trauma, abuse, torture, fighting, betrayal, and explicit sex scenes. Please keep that in mind if you are looking to read this book as those topics are not for everyone.

I am excited to continue this series based off of how Jay and Stein wrote this book. If the rest of the series is anything like what she started things off with, I will quickly be a fan of her work.

Okayy this book took me by surprise and was so good! I’m a pretty avid fated mates reader and I feel like it was just what I needed to get over my little slump that I’ve been going through! Loved Daya! She was strong, badass and fierce! If you love tropes like fated mates, werewolf romance, slow burn and close proximity, definitely pick this up! For those of you wondering… the spice was **chefs kiss. I am so excited for the next installment and I am now definitely a fan of J.N Stein’s writing. 🌟🌟🌟🌟.5/5. 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️/5

First, I’d like to thank the author for the copy of this book!

Calling fans of werewolves, curses, and fated mates! Love a warrior FMC? How about a powerful alpha MMC? If that sounds like your cup of tea, Daya and Darius won’t disappoint! Daya’s journey to reclaim her rightful territory and reunite her scattered family was full of excitement, intrigue and danger! I really enjoyed the struggle around the mate bond, a family finally coming together and secrets being revealed.

Five sisters scattered around for their own safety.
The eldest, Daya, having the need as an Alpha to claim their old pack territory travels there in order to challenge the current Alpha and take back what she thinks rightfully belongs to her. But what she finds there is the exact opposite of what she was expecting as Alpha Darius turns out to be her mate.
A mate's bond appears first time after 30 years when a plague eliminated all the mated couples.
Both fearful of this strong connection between them, will they fight for their love or amongst them for the desired Alpha title?
And what will happen when betrayal threatens from within and an enemy appears to claim what is theirs?
A well-written book with a nice and catchy plot which captivated me from the first chapters.
Excellent job JNS for your first attempt at writing a book!
I'm eager to read the stories of the other four sisters and Sage as well.

I highly recommend it to any werewolf romance reader!

3.5/5 🌶️

First I’d like to say… WOW!! J.N. Stein did not disappoint with this book. I don’t normally read fantasy because it is really hard for me to get into (I struggle with world building fantasy novels) but I LOVED this book and I honestly cannot wait to continue the series! The plot was amazing! I was in JNS’ dm’s throughout the entire time I read this book like “MA’AM, 😳” the twist and turns this book took! I loved the main characters! Darius is Alpha of the pack and he never truly wanted the role of alpha… especially because of the way he ended up with the role but he took his job seriously and tried his best to protect his pack. Daya (Diamond) is born of alpha blood, the land Darius pack is on is hers by blood and birthright. She came to this pack to help train warriors and to get what’s hers by birthright but along the way her and Darius fall for each other and she decides not to challenge him for alpha title and decides to give up the land she grew up on because their bond that they both fought and didn’t want because of the fated mate plague is more important to her. There was a lot of push and pull between Darius and Daya. They fought and made up, they had good times and BAD times🥴 I loved their chemistry, the banter they had, the care Darius had for her before he even knew they were fated mates, and the way Daya always wanted to protect him and never wanted anything bad to happen to him even when she wanted the alpha title. The whole storyline “the underground” had me so intrigued and I honestly can’t wait to learn more about that whole group. The way JNS makes you FEEL for every character she wrote in this book! I felt bad for Mara and Justin! They weren’t redeemable but I still felt bad for the handles they were dealt and for the paths they chose. The way I NEED more of Tobias and Sage’s story. I fell in love with these side characters and I NEED more of their story like I need air. Tobias is this goofy guy who meets this spitfire of a woman and they are the perfect match. The whole storyline there has me reeling for more! I stayed up way too late some night to read it. Truly… this book is so fucking good and I’m so glad I read it. Thank you J.N. Stein for writing this book it was an awesome read!

I read a lot of Omegaverse books. But most of what I had read in the past involved non-shifting wolves. I was excited to start this series which involved packs of shifting wolves. I was not disappointed. I became very captivated by the characters and their interactions.

It was refreshing to have a FMC that is a warrior. But not just a warrior, but one of the best female warriors in the universe. Her drive and determination to regain her family’s glory makes her someone you would want to lead you. But add to that that her sisters all have strengths that complement each other so that they create a powerful team.

I love a grumpy leader who was thrust into his position. Reading the slow burn between Daya and Darius is entertaining and kept me in the story.

This book was longer but I felt engaged and wanted to keep reading. Some plot points were predictable but not in a bad way. Plus there were plenty of surprises throughout. I can’t wait to continue this series and delve more into this world.

This book was filled with so much delicious tension, action and twist and turns! I am amazed with how much is packed into this book. Given, it is a very thick book which I loved!

You get the protective, grumpy alpha male who is delicious and then a strong, and I mean warrior strong, badass main female character. Together there is so much steamy banter in this slow burn. (Slow burns are my fav because it creates delicious tension!) And when the slow burn pays out...be ready for the SPICE. YUM.

There were many things I loved about this book. The main characters were great but the action packed plot and amazing secondary characters added so much to this story!

Diamond, Daya, goes back to her father's pack lands to make herself the rightful alpha of the pack. Darius is current alpha. She essentially hides under the guise of being a warrior trainer, which she is, so she can challenge Darius. Of course, nothing goes as planned as the plot thickens and the action kicks in!

Check out this great werewolf romance!

Five stone sisters - Alpha Stone's Daughters got separated and scattered around different packs for their safety as The Fated Mates Plague has eliminated Fated couples & was a curse to werewolf race.

Diamond ( Daya) eldest amongst them wanted to claim her father's territory back and wanted to Challenge current Alpha Darius for Alpha Title but the fate has different plans for them and the fated bond appeared between them after 30 years of Fated mates plague but both fearing future was not ready to accept it. Danger was lurking in the shadows From outside & traitors within inside their territory..They had to face many challenges.

When two Alphas collide there will be sparks & flames 🔥 They Tested, Challenged & Supported each other.
I like Daya's Strong , Fierce , Determined & Stubborn personality and It's an Amazing Story of Alpha Darius & his troublemaker , warrior Goddess.😍

This was a fantastic dive into an omniverse filled with emotional depth, intriguing backstory, and intense relationships. I really enjoyed how Daya and her sisters' background was portrayed through reflective moments, which introduced the basis of the girls' pain and resilience that shaped their journey.

Daya's internal conflict, between fulfilling her mission and accepting her fated mate, kept me completely hooked. Darius' tragic past, with all its emotional scars, added more emotional turmoil to me as I kept reading their story. The shock factor or learning the basis of the deceit and betrayal still lingers for me even after I've finished the book.

Now I’m left on edge, waiting to see what unfolds with Sage and the rest of the characters in the next book!
