THIS BOOK PICKS UP WHERE DEJA 5 LEFT OFF...
Kai has had his share of issues with women and family, but when he meets Tamia Barnes he finds all of what he had been looking for. When a blast from both of their past resurfaces, their lives are sent into chaos. Kai and Tamia will have to fight for the love that they are both looking for, but even love won't be enough to fight off the demons and temptations they they will be face with. They will soon learn that the saying is indeed true, money is the root of ALL evil. Some are just a little more evil than others.

Of course I was hooked from page one. It was good to see the old crew back together again. It's going down on February 15th with X's story!

Really...
After reading the first five books of the Deja series I went back and forth with myself multiple times on whether or not to purchase Kai. There were SO many spelling errors that it became frustrating. I was also HIGHLY displeased with the ending to Kai that immediately went right into the X book.

Great read
It seems like these ppl can never catch a break. I kinda felt bad for tamia, but at the end of the day she did cheat. I'm glad Kai got his daughter back

Never Ending
Just when you think there will be peace....boom another skelton drops out the closet. These poor babies is going try it. They will be needing therapy as adults.

I finally finished this installment in the Déjá series and once again, Ms. Sutton left me impressed and longing for a sequel.
Kai was NOT a favorite of mine before now. He was cocky, arrogant and obnoxious. However, this novel gave me an in depth look at what made him who he is and showed me a softer side of him.
Kai struggles to find a place with his family after discovering Déjá is really his sister. He sees how suddenly she is so close and has forgiven their father, whose infidelities eventually lead to their mother being killed. But all is not as it seems.
While he's is in turmoil about his family, he is broadsided by baby mama drama. Cassie seems to want to keep his child from him claiming she wants to make it work, but Cassie played far too many games in the past. Kai is not convinced and keeps her at bay. Coupled with not wanting to jeopardize his relationship with Tamia, the new lady in his life, Kai is in constant turmoil.
When Cassie suddenly disappears, Kai is forced to care for his daughter, Kyla, full time. But just as quickly as she disappeared she resurfaces bruised and broken..or is she?
Cassie claims she needs help from her abusive boyfriend and Kai helps her with urging from Tamia. She's homeless and in danger so he agrees to let her stay there.
Things are going smoothly...maybe just a little too smoothly as the days progress. Then Kyla is kidnapped and all hell breaks loose!
Cassie disappears AGAIN and all signs point to her in their daughter's disappearance. And the chase begins.
We go through a whirlwind of emotions, drama and mayhem as Kai fights to get to the bottom of this seemingly random kidnapping.
While this is happening, Tamia is sleeping with the enemy unaware. Her ex Dior gets free of a ten year sentence on a technicality and comes back for her.
Tamia is In complete turmoil because while she loves Kai she is still in love with Dior. But Dior has ulterior motives that Tamia Is too blinded to see.
It seems everything is going wrong for Kai and Tamia. Dior schemes his way onto the street team put together to find his daughter and Kai is totally unaware of Dior's identity.
Things begin to be revealed and the truth comes to light. Kai is devastated about his daughter missing, Tamia's betrayal and Cassie's betrayal. Tamia is thrown in the middle of things when Izzy's cousin, whose helping with the investigation, becomes suspicious of Tamia...
Will Kai find his daughter? Will Tamia make the right choice? Where is Kyla? Where is Cassie? What is Dior's real intention? Good Read
This was getting good when I thought it was over. I didn't like how it ended. I still have unanswered questions. Kai was kind of weak to me but he loves his daughter. Xavier's baby mama's whole family is foul. No wonder she was so grimy. I can't wait to read Xavier's story, it should be good. I was surprised to learn about Cole, I thought Dior was going to be the connection but I was wrong. Also, I am confused about Ty. Why is he not dead? Will we be finding out that Jay and Xavier are really brothers next? They have that brotherly type love. I need to read Xavier senior's story, I just know there'll be one and it's gonna be good. They have lots of family secrets in this series. But I'm loving it.

THIS BOOK WAS CRAZY KAI BM CASSIE IS REALLY CRAZY TO PLAN A FAKE KIDNAPPING ON HER OWN DAUGHTER SMH....CHICAGO IS A VERY SMALL STATE SINCE EVERYONE KNOWS EVERYONE LOL...LOVE THAT EVERYONE IS ALL IN THIS BOOK KAI REALLY DONT PLAY WHEN IT COMES TO HIS DAUGHTER...I CANT BELIEVE THAT TAMIA FEEL FOR THE OKEY DOKE WITH HER EX BUT IM GLAD THAT TAMIA FINALLY GOT IT OUT OF HER SYSTEM & CASSIE GOT WHAT SHE DESERVED IN THE BOOK FOR PULLING A STUNT LIKE THAT CAUSE SHE COULDNT GET KAI BACK...IM GLAD THAT KAI & TAMIA WAS ABLE TO WORK PAST WHAT HAPPENED...WONDER WHATS GONNA HAPPEN TO THEM NOW

This book was a page turner. Kai, X, Izzy, Jay, and Xavier Sr are back again in this latest installment to the Deja series. Kai has found love in the form of Tamia. Tamia has skeletons in her closet that she has yet to deal with. Returning to the scene is Dior Tamia's ex who is out for revenge. Who will come out on top. Must read to find out.....

Like all ways I love the whole series of Deja. But Kai book was so good I couldn't put the but down. Kia , Izzy, Xavier and the rest of the people was on point at helping Kai find his daughter but her got what she got a bullet grimy but. But over all the but was on point now I am getting the next book X get up the good work.

Great!!
As great of a series this is, it's not over and I am burned out reading about this set of characters. X's story (And Then There Was X) is a bit too pricey to purchase, but it's also the only way to find out where Lynn aka Cookie has taken Jeremiah and Kyla. Also Izzy's story is out there (Skai's the Limit)...gonna retire from this series right now...

Of course it was a page turner from the beginning to the end. I encourage anyone that is a fan of Ms. Tanjana Sutton that have read the Deja Series to read Kai's story. I look forward to reading the next book from her. I am definitely a fan of her work.

Kai was going through it for a minute. I love the Deja series. Lynn is just as bad as her daughter. Kai needs to give Tamia another chance. I'm waiting on the edge of my seat waiting on the next part

I loved how the story kept moving along. My only problem is the editing. I can't wait for the next one but I do hope she gets someone to proofread it before it's released.

In the mist if deceit and devastation Kai emerges as a formidable opponent!! Does Deja ever catch a break ?? One thing for sure this is a captivating read from beginning to end!!!
