i loved this book DOWN. i have a weak spot for characters who are immediately enamored with their love interests, and these two did not disappoint. the fact their feelings were mutual for both mike and gen made it even better. them finally admitting their feelings just felt so much sweeter on top of it all. i really wish we could follow these two in a series. one volume is just not enough 😩.

i fear this flopped big time for me. the characters and relationship was adorable (the height difference!!!!! omg!!!!!!) but the pacing felt disconnected. i struggled with reading this because the flow felt inconsistent. kind of sad i didn’t care for this because i love the art style and the relationship 😭

"all the words i know aren't enough to express how i feel. so just listen. i really like you."

this one-shot manga was so sweet and i really enjoyed it! i absolutely loved the art in this, the attention to detail is beautiful. the band setting was so fun and unique! basically gen and mika are from different bands and they end up falling in love, how cute! you could really feel the chemistry between these two. i really wish there was more though, but i'll be keeping an eye out on future works by the author. overall, highly recommend!

MM Romance
Battle of the Bands
3 Stars ⭐️

Ok I’ve never read manga before and figured why the hell not? This is why I love netgalley because it lets me try all kinds of different books I’d never pick up otherwise. It was a bit of learning curve for me ngl because I’m not used to reading comics right to left but once I figured it out I mostly enjoyed this. Gen and Mika are in rival bands cheekily named Adam & Eve. They each get asked to do battle of the bands but both bands are so popular that it becomes just a battle between them. I thought this was cute at times but also a bit too surface level for me. I had never read sex scenes in comic form before and I thought it was hot. The attention to detail? Loved it. I was auto approved by this publishing house so I look forward to reading more and also finding some other manga I will enjoy more.

I received an arc from netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

A Boys-Love manga with college setting & 2 musicians!
I had this on my tbr, I'm glad I finally read it 💞. It gives Given vibes, which is why I'd added it. But its cute, low angst due to it's short size, with beautiful art where everyone looks handsome, found family of supportive friends & even some spice at end 🤭. I easily read it in 1-2hrs!

Gen is guitarist in Band "Eve". He's quiet & dresses like a dark cloud, but is honest & snarky 😆.
Mike (G's Mika 😍) is vocalist in Band "Adam" (🤭 name's origin sweet!). He's friendly, charming, a sexy sunshine & got a crush on Gen 😉.

A meet after music gig, it's funny how Gen had no idea that he & Mike shared classes 🤣. Their friendship (& more) was cute to see develop, how their music enchanted eachother #OppositesAttract 💕. I could see the misunderstanding from a mile away 🤣. I'm glad it got resolved next ch lol!

That kiss, damn 😳. Still, I'm glad M'd pulled away & took it slow. First times for G, huh? Loved the intimacy, heat (& yay prep!) of the climax sexy scene. That bonus from Tommy's pov was hilarious & sweet, he gives bad advice tho 🙃. The way of confessions were lovely. Will try more by Youga!

Comic rating:
1) The Characters: 5/5
2) Story feels: 🤨😉🤭😳😜🥰😅😩😍😅🥰🥵
3) Art: 5/5 (not colored)
4) Sexy/Steamy scenes: Yup. Once at end (graphic).

thank you netgalley & the publisher for giving me the opportunity to read the arc for this !!

this was so good. If theres one thing about me it’s that I LOVEEE stories that have anything to do with bands/music. The story was well done too—the pacing was great and the romance didn’t move too quickly even with Mika & Gen’s story being told within one volume. There were a lot of fun moments where the banter between the characters was great, and ofc the romance was amazing as I mentioned before. I also loveddd the characters and how we got to see everyone’s friendships instead of only focusing on the romance. The art was so perfect too AND THEIR HEIGHT DIFFERENCE AGHHH IT WAS SO CUTEEE. And there were so many sweet scenes between them ugh wow I had sm fun with this. Anyway…please look forward to when this is released and check it out!

Many thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for providing an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This was largely fine - I tend to keep my expectations low for standalone manga as there's rarely enough space to deliver a deeper story. In terms of content, this could have easily been a two to three volume series but I think it did well enough with condensing it to a single volume.

I enjoyed the art but I didn't like the majority of character designs - this is of course entirely subjective and doesn't say anything about the quality of art. I did really appreciate how some of the music scenes were brought to life - the main character Gen listening to the love interest sing and picturing the depths of the sea while doing so was a stand-out scene for me.

I am not a huge fan of plots that revolve around bands but again, that's just a personal preference and I knew that going into it so it won't be affecting my rating. I did by and large enjoy the two main characters and their romance was cute. Had we had more time with them and given them more depth, this would have been a more impactful story. As it is, I'll stick to fine - definitely better than some other standalones out there, especially among the BL genre.

Special thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for providing and advanced digital copy in exchange for an honest review

I don't really know what to say about this. Nothing really happened. It was kind of boring. There were some gigs played, some text messages exchanged, a scary movie was watched, and there was a single sex scene. I couldn't really get a grasp of the characters, so I didn't connect with any of them.

When they were in their little fight? I'm pretty sure I was supposed to feel something about it, but I was just really disinterested. I didn't care whether they ended up together or not, and that's not really how I should be feeling when I'm reading a romance.

Shout Loud, My Heart is a gentle, music-filled love story that explores the blossoming relationship between two young men whose paths cross through the world of college rock bands. At its core, it’s a manga about connection – not just emotional or romantic, but also artistic, creative, and deeply personal.

The story centers on Gen, a somewhat reserved college student and guitarist in a band called Eve. After a performance one night, he meets Mike – open, charismatic, and blessed with a voice that immediately draws Gen in. There’s something about the way Mike speaks and carries himself that leaves a lasting impression. As chance would have it, they meet again the very next day and realize they both attend the same college. Slowly but surely, their paths begin to align.

What starts with admiration soon develops into something deeper. Gen finds himself drawn not only to Mike’s voice, but to his presence, his energy, and the ease with which he navigates the world. And as their friendship grows into something more, the story unfolds with a steady, quiet warmth. There are no major twists or dramatic obstacles – just two people gradually discovering each other through shared moments and the mutual language of music.

This simplicity is both the manga’s strength and, for me personally, its slight weakness. It’s undeniably a sweet and wholesome romance, but it lacked that extra spark or tension that might have made the emotional beats hit harder. I kept hoping for a moment that would surprise me or pull me in more deeply, but it never quite arrived. Still, it’s a story that treats its characters and their emotions with great tenderness.

One of the most refreshing elements was the reason behind their attraction. So often in stories like this, characters fall in love at first sight, with little explanation beyond physical looks. Here, however, Gen falls for Mike’s voice – not just the sound of it, but what it represents: confidence, vulnerability, and passion. Mike, in turn, admires Gen’s musical talent. Their connection grows out of artistic respect and emotional resonance rather than surface-level attraction, and that adds a thoughtful layer to their relationship.

Although the manga is rated PG-16 and does include a romantic and physical relationship, it’s never explicit or gratuitous. Everything is handled with care, focusing more on the emotional intimacy than anything else. Any moments of physical closeness are quiet and meaningful, grounded in genuine affection rather than pure desire.

By the end, Shout Loud, My Heart leaves you with the feeling of having witnessed a soft, genuine romance unfold between two kind souls. It may not be groundbreaking or heart-racing, but it’s honest and comforting in its own way – like the last few notes of a mellow song that lingers in your chest. Perfect for readers who enjoy music-themed stories, slow-burn connections, and the quiet courage it takes to say how you truly feel.

Thank you to NetGalley and Kodansha for the opportunity to read this title in exchange for an honest review!

First, I want to thank Kodansha Comics and Netgalley for providing me with this ARC copy of the English translation of Shout Loud My Heart to read in exchange for an honest review.

Let me first just say that I feel like I might be a little bit biased about this review. I personally am a big fan of Kodansha Comics and also another publisher Yen Press. When I found out that Kodansha comics puts their comics up on Netgalley sometimes I got very excited. First, I want to say that the translation and typography were well placed and well done. There are three things I always look for in an English translation of a comic and this is that all the little side remarks are translated, the SFX are translated in a way that keeps the original feeling and also makes sense in English, and that the art is not disturbed by the translation process.

I know that in some parts of manga where the speech bubbles are see-through it can be difficult to accomplish the last task, but this comic did a phenomenal job at all 3. One of my favorite parts of reading manga is the side notes and remarks that characters make to each other and background characters make. It makes the stories so fun and real and when translators leave out those parts I feel like I’m missing part of the story. This translation did well at keeping all of those in the story and making sense. The art was also amazing. The mangaka did such an amazing job and their story was also amazing.

The story was so cute and I loved that, despite it being a shorter 5 episode stand-alone with a couple short 2–3-page side stories, it still was written in such a way that I left not only loving their relationship, but understanding them as characters. I fell in love with both Mika and Gen but also with all their friends and fellow band mates as well. The spice level was also a level 5.

Overall, I would rate this book a 5 out of 5 stars. Super cute. Shorter than I would like because it was so well written that now I want more – maybe some standalone books about their bandmates. Very good!

Thank you NetGalley for give me the opportunity to read this!

a BL music band manga with a little bit of spice? My good soup.
Gen is a college student and guitarist who belongs to a fairly famous indie band. In contrast, we have "Mike," the singer of another band whose voice enchants anyone who hears it. And that's exactly what happens to Gen—once he hears Mike's voice, he can't stop thinking about him.
It’s a standalone volume with a really beautiful story where: 1. There’s no rivalry between bands, and 2. Friendship turns into something more as quickly as a chord change. Since it's a standalone volume, don't expect a slow-burn romance—but if you're looking for a sweet story that keeps you smiling the whole time, this manga is for you. Personally, I would have loved for it to be a longer series, because Mika and Gen were absolutely adorable.

P.D: There's one explicit sex scene full of hornyness but very cute

Usually I save 5 stars for books I consider essentially perfect, and this one did have a few areas that could've been polished up a bit. I'm giving it the full star rating anyway because it did two really special things: it completely turned around my bad mood after finishing a terrible book just prior, and it left scenes lingering in my head that're still with me a day later.

In other words, it made a very strong positive impact, and I'm really happy about how much I enjoyed it.

Kodansha and Yen Press tend to be two of my favorite publishers; they seem to pick thoughtful stories, and put a lot of effort into the presentation. That was definitely the case here. When I'm really enjoying a manga, it takes me a while to read it, because I dwell on the panels for so long, flipping back to earlier scenes, looking at the cover art and color plate, etc. And there was an awful lot to enjoy in this story, including how expressive and impactful the art was.

You don't even need dialogue sometimes when the characters' eyes are communicating so much on their own; it's such a great feature of this genre, and Youga Rayri handles it with a lot of nuance and skill.

Sure, this is a bit of a simple meet-and-fall-in-love story, but it's done so well. That's a skill, too: being able to wrap up a satisfying, believable love story in a single volume. There was a little bump in the middle, with a miscommunication that I don't think was handled perfectly, but the ending was absolutely wonderful, and the part that's been really sticking with me.

So how did the meet cute start? With a vocalist and a guitarist exchanging a few words during a show where both of their bands were playing. Then running into each other at their university later and forming a friendship that transitioned into something a whole lot more.

Although, in truth, from the moment they'd heard each other's music, the "something more" was already well underway.

The whole music and bands element will inevitably draw some comparisons to Given , which I...still need to finish reading. (I was losing some interest as the series expanded into too many other couples.) Maybe it's because this one is set in college, with characters who're a bit older, but it felt more...realistic, I guess? It reminded me a lot of when I was in my 20s, and my best friend was dating (then married to) a guy in a band.

A group of friends making music, with jobs and school on the side...doing small shows with a few dedicated fans and no big record deals on the horizon...it all felt nostalgic, I guess, and like a true love story to the simple power of music. Because that's the thing that draws Gen and Mika to each other from the beginning.

Mika approaches Gen first...and, as it turns out, he really had been "a fan," like he tells Gen during that initial interaction, when Gen's sour and standoffish and annoyed at Mika's brightly friendly personality and smelly cigarettes. When Gen hears Mika sing, though, he's completely blown away.

I absolutely loved the first lengthy conversation they had the day after the show (during class, which was funny and obnoxious), when Gen just closes his eyes and basks in the sound of Mika's voice. I love how much he loves just the tone of his voice, whether he's speaking or singing. It's this oddly perfect way of showing how deeply music is ingrained in Gen. He takes pleasure in sound, and it's probably what makes him such a shining light on stage.

Mika also finds Gen incredible - his skill with the guitar, the way he stands out on stage - and, as it turns out, he'd only agreed to join a band of his own because of that inspiration. He literally names their band Adam, after Gen's Eve.

Names are an important thing in this story, too, with Gen being the only one to ask what "Mike's" real name is, and sticking to Mika throughout. It's a small gesture that means a lot to Mika, as shown through a flashback where people just...don't bother, and assign him a name that he ends up responding to but never really liking.

These are all small touches that add up to a lot, and do a subtle but natural job of showing the connection between characters who understand each other really, really well.

The longing is palpable, too. That first kiss was absolutely incredible...ruined a little bit by the miscommunication that came after, because it seemed like a pretty easy thing to talk about. But it wasn't dragged on for too long, and Gen did bring it up, very matter-of-factly, when they were all having a meal together after the battle of the bands.

Then Mika dragged him out to talk about it in more detail...they sorted through what their true feelings were and what they wanted from each other...and we wound up with what's probably one of my absolute favorite domestic scenes I've read in manga thus far.

I just loved the way Gen fit into Mika's life, and how visible their affection for and comfort with each other is. The way Gen casually and confidently treats Mika's home as his own...the intensity of Mika's quiet "don't go, okay?" when Gen was going to give him some space with his bandmate...

It's a very accurate depiction of that fresh, exciting stage of a new relationship, but with a real sense of longevity to it. Loved this as a one-shot and would be very happy to read anything else by this mangaka in the future.

Gen, guitarist to the popular band 'Eve', is a quiet and reserved college student who spends little time associating with anyone outwith his own band-mates. This all changes the day he meets the outgoing Mike, lead singer to the equally popular band, 'Adam', after the singer praises his talent at a shared performance. Sticking around to hear Mike sing, Gen is unusually captivated by his unique voice, and soon after realizes that they are both in the same classes at school too. This one-shot manga follows the duos blossoming- if not slightly unexpected- friendship, performances, and ever evolving feelings that they just can't quite seem to place.

From start to finish, Gen and Mike were a refreshing pair whose admiration for not only each other, but their passion, was so genuine that I could not contain my glee while reading. Although at the start they appear to have contrasting personalities, the pair click so quickly that it's obvious from the start (even outwith the fact it's a romantic story) that they are going to impact each others lives greatly.

Additional to the main characters, the fun cast of side characters that make up the boys' band mates are very likable and have their own use in moving the story along. Paired with clever little details like the band names ('Adam'/'Eve'), fun situations (jam sessions and concerts) and a beautiful art style, there was very little to not love. And for extra added fun, a bonus chapter is included at the end for those who just can't get enough of Gen and Mikes relationship!

The only real criticism I could have for this story is its pacing. As it is a one-shot manga, you see the start to finish of the relationship in a very short time, so elements in the characters lives' like their longing and angst were resolved pretty quickly in order to keep the story progressing, and hence maybe didn't hit so hard as they would if this was a multi-part series, or even a written novel. Nevertheless, I still thoroughly enjoyed this read, and although this didn't dampen my enjoyment at all, it may be a factor worth considering if fast paced and easily digestible stories aren't your cup of tea and you're thinking about picking this one up.

Thank you so much to both NetGalley and Kodansha Comics for giving me access to this ARC in exchange for an honest review!

This manga follows Gen, a college student who plays guitar in a rock band called Eve, and Mika (aka Mike), the super confident, smooth-talking lead vocalist of another band called Adam. And when I say lead vocalist—I mean magnetic voice that makes you stop in your tracks kind of deal. From the moment Gen hears Mike’s voice, something clicks—there’s an instant spark. The next day, fate brings them together again on campus. Casual conversations slowly bloom into a deeper connection, and Gen finds himself falling—not just for Mika’s voice, but for the person behind it.

Their relationship develops into something romantic, and honestly, they are already so cute together from the start. The chemistry between them is palpable, even if the story moves a bit quickly. I found myself wishing for more build-up and emotional depth—something a longer format might have allowed—but that’s often the nature of manga. Still, what’s here is enough to make you feel for them and root for their happiness.

The art is absolutely gorgeous—expressive, tender, and full of little moments that make their relationship feel real. Despite its brevity, the story captured something sweet and heartfelt. A very enjoyable and quick read that left me wanting just a bit more time with these two.

If you’re into sweet, slightly rock 'n roll college romance with great vibes and pretty art, definitely give this one a shot.

Thanks to NetGalley and the Publisher. I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review

In a nutshell for this manga: “I am not great at expressing my feelings, so I’ll do it through music 🎶”

Where to even start with this cute love story about two rockstars meeting 😭. Words can not express how much I adore these two and even though this one shot was short, I enjoyed every moment of it.

Gen and Mika are just so adorably cute together 🥰. Gen’s quiet persona vs how forward Mika is to the point where Gen gets to be out of his shell for once. You really get to see their friendship blossom into something more and the pacing between the two was just right. Loved every moment of it.

The spice in this book, it was steamy 🥵. I didn’t expect that until I got to that part. It didn’t help how even after that they still got to be so cute after being a couple 🥺.

Overall, as much I know this is a short book since it is a one shot. I feel like through the 6 episodes you will see along with some bonus chapters, you do take the time to know both the MMCs so well. How their taste in music can be combined together, and how one jam session can mean so much more on how you express your feelings.

3.25 ⭐️ is my accurate rating.

Thank you to NetGalley, Youga Rayri, and Kodansha Comics for giving me the opportunity to read this ARC!

Perfect for fans of Pink Heart Jam, Shout Loud, My Heart is a really cute romance oneshot that will make everyone smile until their cheeks hurt!

College student Gen plays guitar in a rock band called Eve. At a gig one night, he meets a man named Mike. Mike’s the kind of person who has no trouble saying what’s on his mind, and Gen soon finds himself captivated by this smooth, handsome voice. The next day, the two meet again when they realize they go to the same college. Be it on stage or in casual conversation, Gen finds himself more and more captivated by Mike’s voice. The more time the two spend together, the more Gen realizes it’s more than just Mike’s voice he’s attracted to…

Gen and Mike were such cute characters, and their interactions made me so happy!! They clearly cared deeply for each other, and even though this is a pretty short manga, you can see the way their relationship develops and how they slowly become more and more captivated by the other!

In the end, I really liked this manga and I'll definitely be reread it in the future!

Thank you NetGalley and Kondasha comics for an arc of this one!

*I received an ARC from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review*

Single volume/ one-shot mangas are currently my obsession, and this book only fueled the fire! I absolutely devoured this book, it was so cute and fluffy (and a little spicy towards the end too) with a great range of characters and a simple yet addictive story filled with music and love. The romance between Eve's guitarist Gen and lead vocalist of rival band Adam's Mike was so great, though it didn't quite have enough depth for me personally, it had some super cute moments, and I loved how both boys fell so hard for each other, and admired each other's musical talent. The artwork was beautiful (Gen is so handsome!) and overall the atmosphere and feelings of sharing messages through music was amazing, the way it was portrayed was excellent.

Overall, I'd definitely suggest you read this for a sweet, slightly steamy story about two souls finding each other in one song.

Thank you to NetGalley and Youga Rayri for an Advanced Reader's Copy of "Shout Loud, My Heart."

All I can say is WOW. I love me a good BL manga, and the fact this was a one-shot too? Between the on stage tension, the off-stage tension, and the relationship between Gen and Mika, this left me wanting more. These two are ELECTRIC on every page together, and their chemistry is undeniable. And the band names, Adam & Eve, really tied this all together.

I miss them already!

What a beautiful art style, pacing, and climax of the story. I would adore seeing these two in other projects!!

Thanks to the NetGalley and Kodansha Comics for the ARC copy of "Shout Loud, My Heart". This has not affected my review at all, which are my own thoughts.

Two college students, Gen and "Mike", play for rival bands, Eve and Adam, respectively. Gen's fingers fly by his guitar's strings, while "Mike" has a voice of which angels are jealous. They meet by chance at a late night gig, where Gen soon finds himself captivated by Mike's voice. And, the next day, when he finds out that they go to the same university, is on. They spend more time together, on stage, out of it, wherever and whenever they can, building a relationship that will change it all for them and for their music.

So, as I always say, romance stories are a hit or miss with me, no in between. So I'm always weary to read romance manga with just one volume because they might not get as enough pages to develop as other stories (not saying longer format is better, 'cause that can backfire too, of course), and so they have to encompassed much in little. Fortunately, it wasn't the case, for Shout Loud, My Heart develops a very cute romance between Gen and Mike, even touching in some profound themes of identity and musical aspects.

As I said, I found the romance cute, compelling and developing at a great pace, even within the limited space of one volume. Gen and Mike complement each other, spend a lot of time together, which makes the relationship and romance seem far more realistic for me and even grow together as people. The supporting cast of friends and band members was also amazing and felt quite real as they had their own motivations and little goals and even interactions of their own that showed that rivalry flourishing in a healthy way and even almost taking the protagonist part instead of the romance.

I laughed with the characters, sometimes even got frustrated by their actions but, by the end and most importantly, I enjoyed their story and rooted for them to get together. I probably shouldn't have favorites in a romance, because both Gen and mike have their betters and their worses, but I'm gonna pick Gen, because I related to him more than Mike.

Overall, a wholesome relationship, well developed characters and an interesting background that added to the mix. I must say, I'm starting to like romances with a musical background far more than I expected: this one, Pink Heart Jam, The Guy She was interested in wasn't a Guy at all... Yeah, I'm seeing a pattern here😂 Not complaining though

Definitely recommending this manga to romance lovers and music lovers as well; fast paced, sweet romance, three dimensional characters and great art

⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ Three and a half stars

Thank you to NetGalley, Kodansha Comics, and Youga Rayri for an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

Shout Loud, My Heart is a standalone slice-of-life manga about twenty year old Gen Utashiro. By day, Gen is a university student, and by night he's the lead guitarist for the band Eve. Eve is playing in the Battle of the Bands against local rival band Adam, fronted by fellow twenty year old university student by day, and lead singer by night, Mika 'Mike' Itemadani.

As Gen and Mika cross paths as students and musicians their relationship becomes one of friends and eventually lovers, and that journey was very cute. Although I found the spicy content quite out of place with the tone of the rest of the story. I'd have liked more story and less spice for the sake of spice, but that's just me. It should also be mentioned that there's not a single female character of note. I realise that may be standard with BL/yaoi, but I still think it's worth stating.

Overall, this is a quick little read and a fun one. I wish I had more time with these characters. This would have made a fun series rather than just a one-shot. I'd recommend it to manga enthusiasts.

I loved the theme of music and it connecting the two and being the foundation of their love for each other... I especially loved the moments where we got to see a performance and it seemed like the music transferred a message from Gen's to Mika's mind, I don't know how else to describe it.
I honestly would have loved for this book to be longer and to get more time with the two main characters but also their friend groups/bands!

There where two tiny little things that I have some criticism on:
1. There were 1-2 moments where the scene switched and it came across a bit abrupt, and I had to take a second go back a page and reorient myself in the storyline.
2. Some drawings seemed unfinished? Idk if its a creative choice but in a few panels Gen's hair (and one time his previously black sweatshirt) was not black but instead it was checkered as if the author forgot to fill it in? But that has nothing to do with the story line which was really great:) and maybe it’ll get fixed before publication

thank you netgalley for letting me read this<3

this was so cute!!! i love mangas about bands and music beacuse they always convey the character's love for it so beautifully. even without hearing the music, you can feel it through their emotions. and the way it ties down with the character's feelings to each other is even mroe beautiful.

the story is really fluffy, without unnecessary drama, and having a slikce-of-life feel to it. it follows a bass guitarist and a vocalist from two different bands (one is called Eve and another one is Adama hehe). i love how first they become friends, become natural with each other and then it developes into something bigger.

visually, the manga is pretty as well. all the characters' designs are really fun and unique. it's like a manifestation of their personality, making the story even more enjoyable.

Short, stand-alone and slow-burn, but really sweet. Gen plays guitar in a band, Eve. Mika—Mike—is a singer in a band Adam, so named as a counter to Eve. Mike admires Gen’s guitar playing, but the other guy isn’t even aware of Mike, until he heards Mike sing, which blows his mind. Then it turns out they go to a same college and share classes too.

Gen’s a bit grumpy, but he allows Mike to pull him into his company, and little by little, he realises he has feelings for Mike. The other guy has maybe had them longer. A small misunderstanding almost ruins everything, but they work things out. There’s some spice and a couple of short extras at the end. This could’ve been longer with more drama, but it’s fine as it is. I liked the art too.

I received a free copy from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I love stories based around bands and music, and this one is perfect for me.
Our main characters are members of rival bands, and when they finally meet, the sparks fly. I enjoyed how, even if the characters were quite typical for such manga, their behaviour wasn't. There was no one character chasing after the other or forcing them to spend time together.
The story fits nicely in one volume.

The art style is excellent, easy to read and very pretty. The characters look very different from each other, so there's no issue with understanding the story.

It's a really lovely quick story. There's one sex scene, but it's short, so if you don't like them you easily skip it.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for providing me with a digital copy of this book.

3.5 I liked a lot about this story. The art is okay. Its a pretty sweet, easy to read, about a musician that is inspired by a gutarist that he watches play and eventually they fall in love. I like that the friends are supportive. I thought the orgin of the band name Adam was really cute.

However, there was a wierd comment in the story about just forcing someone to have sex that rubbed me the wrong way. Le sigh, why in such a green flag story does that have to exsist?
