We met a long time ago.
Our bond, instant.
And it didn’t matter that she was older than me.

At the time I didn’t see her as anything but an incredible woman who stepped up and cared for me when no one else would. Now, years later, Ingrid is the ‘mother’ of the club I’ve transferred to.
The thought of us wasn’t a fantasy for me back then.
But it’s becoming one now.
The problem is—she’s my president’s stepmom.
And her deceased husband is my father’s best friend.

To say it’s complicated is an understatement. As we develop feelings for each other, life-threatening curveballs are launched in her direction—and I’m the only one who knows.
While trying to keep her safe, the club is at war, the fight coming at us from multiple directions.
The chaos is real and unwavering.
But in the face of obliteration, we can do nothing else but stand tall because…
We are Defiance!

From USA Today Bestselling Author K E Osborn comes the eagerly awaited final book in the NOLA Defiance MC Series.
This is a reverse age gap, ex’s best friend’s son book, and can be read as a standalone.

I did a #BingeRead of this series this past summer so the entire crew was pretty fresh in my mind and so was the MC story arc when I dove into Obliterate and I really loved that for myself! I mean it doesn’t have anything to do with this review per say, but I just thought I’d share anyway LOL But let’s not digress …

The older woman trope is not a commonly used trope and it’s really not common in a genre such as this because of the whole male oriented atmosphere that is commonplace in motorcycle clubs. Not only am I glad that KE took this anomaly (for lack of a term) and went with it but I’m also pretty stoked on how the story turned out.

The story has the usual chaos and mayhem with the club itself which isn’t something I wasn’t expecting but on the flip side, I expected the arc of the MC to stay steady on the course it had navigated since the first book, but it didn’t seem that way. Remember, I have just read the last 7 books a few months ago so club “issues” are pretty fresh in my head and some of those weren’t written in the light that they had been in the past. So, that was a bit of a ”wait, what’s happening now…” moment for me on a couple of occasions. However, I can honestly say none of that really altered my overall enjoyment of the story itself. I mean it wasn’t great that it happened, but *shrug* … feel me?

I enjoyed very much the dynamic between South & Ingrid and how they navigated their ‘romance’ journey and also, I think KE did a really good job of utilizing this story as a segue to the next chapter without taking away any space from this story. I love KE’s wizardry with gritty mc stories and I’m looking forward to more Defiance in LA coming soon!!

ARC kindly provided in exchange for an honest review

What book! I can't believe how K.E. Osborn got me through the ending of NOLA Defiance: everything about this book took me by surprise and I loved reading South & Ingrid together, the ending that the author gave the plot of this series and the possibilities for the future of the next Defiance series!! Also, when I started reading Obliterate I didn't really know what to expect from Ingrid & South because we had only seen him as this fun and flirtatious boy, and her as a mother who is always there for her four children when they need her, however, in both cases we were missing one of the best sides of these two.

Ingrid has been a recurring character on NOLA Defiance MC since the beginning, a sweet, kind woman with a huge heart who married Reaper , the father of Hurricane & Bayou, and from the first moment she love them the same way she loves Nash & Nova, her biological children, she's always there to support, love and take care of her family, and in this book we see her do that again, only this time she does it by hiding some specific situations from them, especially her feelings and relationship with South. One of the things I liked the most was reading a strong Ingrid, brave in the most complicated moments, capable of fighting for what she wants and putting Hurricane in her place, something that I always enjoy reading.

South is one of the characters that I liked the most in this series, the new guy in NOLA who is looking to see the world outside of Los Angeles, his personality is quite simple, he's fun, charming, so tender and I loved the way he was ALWAYS there for Ingrid and he totally supported her in her process. I also really liked reading the club through his eyes, learning more of his personal story and read the different touch he gave to the series.

South & Ingrid have one of the best chemistry in the series, their relationship is forbidden, secret and a little taboo, and when they are together they are the sweetest and most tender, and the way their bond strengthens throughout the book was one of my favorite things, besides the beautiful ending they shared.

Something that deserves a special mention in Obliterate were the twists that K.E. Osborn gave to this book, at times she made me afraid, and also angry, I have to say, but I think she did it in the best way!

Ingrid and South. An age gap story of a significantly older woman and a younger man. She a mum to 4 grown kids, and the old lady to a deceased brother.

The first time he and Ingrid met, South knew she was his destiny. But at the time he was still a youth and she was married to a Defiance brother.

Moving forward and circumstances change. South is determined to make Ingrid see what she means to him and to create a family with her.

It's a moving story and, I feel, a fitting end to this chapter of the Defiance MC. I can't wait to see what this author brings us next.

Absolutely Amazing!!!

The Defiance MC NOLA series was amazing and this author did a killer job wrapping this series up. South and Ingrid were at the forefront of this book with Ingrid being the older woman…but not just any woman because she was the mother of four grown kids one of which who was the President of the Defiance chapter and old lady to the deceased former Prez. The connection between South and Ingrid could make any cold heart warm all over.

This club was at war with not only the Bratva but the Baroness as well. The unthinkable was done during this which only made this an “on the edge of your seat” book that I couldn’t put down.

I feel like I’m not doing justice to this book review because I can’t wrap my head around everything that happened in this one book that is leaving me with the worst book hangover ever. All I can say for certain is that this is a must-read book…a must-read series that will stick with me. Well done Ms. Osborn. I can’t wait to see what comes next.

This was a bittersweet ending to NOLA chapter. Have tissues ready as I cried. We finally get the ending we all wanted.

I loved South and Ingrid together, they had a connection instantly. They go through some ups and downs but come out on top. Ingrid is getting another chance at happiness that she deserves. And it's nice to see South coming into his own.

We catch up with all the characters we met through the series too.

I highly recommend this series. And look forward to LA.

What makes a person as bad as Connie. So far I haven't met anyone as deceitful as Baroness Constance Squires.
The Nola chapter of Defiance have had a lot of issues to deal with. They've lost a lot. They have endured a lot. And Connie made it worse. I first thought I might like her. But the evil seeped through.
Touch women and children in The Defiance MC and they will Obliterate you. When you get through the pain and evil you will see what a great ending Nola Defiance had. Well done KE. I can totally recommend this series. It gets my five stars

Ingrid is such a caring soul. She is also the rock of this MC. South is new, well not new but from the past. I found him to be very loyal and protective. I adore their story and the way this MC shows exactly what family is.

Ingrid mum to Hurricane the mc  president, Bayou, Nash & Novah.

South has transfer from another chapter after hurricane asked for transfers.
Ingrid is still the one who helps with the club  even after the death of her husband Reaper the last president.
When South spots Ingrid he knows the impression she left with him years ago has cemented those feelings.
The club is going through changes so he's trying to be patient.
Great story

This is the seventh book in the series. They can be read as standalone books but I think they are better read in order. This book focuses on South and Ingrid. South have transferred Chapters, from LA to NOLA. Ingrid and South met a long time ago however Ingrid doesn’t remember at first. South didn’t transfer just for Ingrid but she is a bonus. He is going to go after her and show her that he is the man for her. The age gap doesn’t matter to him but he will have to show Ingrid that what they have is worth possibly upsetting her family. Ingrid is thrown by some news at the beginning of the book and South is there for her right from the start. The club is still dealing with the Bratva as well. Then there is the Countess. She is clearly up to something but what. She can’t be trusted in any case. This book does have a twist that I totally didn’t see coming. Which is unusual for me. The Houston and the LA chapters make an appearance in this book as well. I loved this book. I can’t wait to read more about the characters in this chapter and the others as well. Fantastic job K.E. Osborn. South is amazing and a wonderful match for Ingrid.

I wish it didn’t have to end!

I have loved series and Obliterate was the perfect book with the perfect ending. South and Ingrid’s story was so good. South’s determination to be with Ingrid is heartwarming. The running plot throughout the series comes to a head in Obliterate. Geez, KE Osborn really loves to mess with my emotions. At one point I was teary eyed. Damn you! The ending was not what I was expecting, but as always KE Osborn has does a brilliant job of never disappointing. This one would have to be one of my favourites. I’m going to miss the NOLA crew but I know that they are moving on and will certainly see them again at some point in future books.

Obliterate brings readers Ingrid, one time first lady of the club and South’s story. The relationship they share may not be what most would call conventional, considering the fact she’s quite a bit older than him, but for them it worked. Neither Ingrid or South has planned on falling in love, in the beginning they’d both had their reservations, but you know what they say…. LOVE conquers all, and how could she resist South, the big teddy bear wrapped up in a sexy package of alpha-ness.

This was the final book of the NOLA Defiance MC Series, although I’m sure it won't be the last we’ll hear from them. I can’t wait for the LA Defiance series.

I'm so sad to see this series end but what a way to end it. Wooo what can I say about South and Ingrid I wasn't excepting it at all. Ingrid is older got grown kids and South is fun and flirtatious but can he be more? I wasn't sure if South could prove himself but boy this was a ride. Ingrid is as always a badass and she stand her ground.

An age gap story that started years ago when South (Romeo) was a teen and Ingrid was married to Reaper. Reaper is gone now and Ingrid is a widow with step kids and two of her own. Life has a way of causing bumps in the road for everyone. There's danger as usual, surprises miracles, sadness and an ending to an era. HEA.

This was an awesome way for the NOLA chapter to end. The characters reached out and grabbed you by the throat and would not let go. The story arch finished and all the separate lines were tied up nicely.
South and Ingrid’s story has been years in the making and comes to a stunning conclusion. When they met years ago, Ingrid helped South control his sister and made such an impact that he never forgot her nor his feelings for her.
They meet again when South is transferred to the NOLA chapter and he is trying to be what Ingrid needs and to hope that she will return his feelings. They comfort each other and hold their secrets together, but it all comes out when the club is in an all out war with the Bratva and the Baroness.
all secrets from everyone comes to light and the fallout is like a hurricane being let loose.
Everything works out for all the Defiance Chapters and they take out all the major problems with one strike.
South and Ingrid are together and living their best life and are expecting another generation of the Defiance MC.

This is the final book in the NOLA Series. This reverse age gap follows South and Ingrid. While this book can be read as a standalone, I recommend reading all the books in order.
I love that Ms. Osborn did a reverse age gap because most of the time authors make the man older. I have to say I don’t think the flashbacks of Ingrid helped me in any way. I didn’t think it was necessary to show us the time where she was with the President of the club. I also did not see the purpose of showing the first time she met South. I thought it was weird how she just met his family and she overstepped. While they were not nice to him it seemed odd for an outsider to say that and to make that one thing be so memorable to South. I did like the connection between them and how he was so protective of her.

Overall I did enjoy the story. KE Osborn always does a great job writing MC Romance.

Thank you for the ARC!

Wish I could read again for the first time

Wow. I loved this series. I was waiting on the edge of my seat for Obliterate to be released on KU.

I am not the biggest age gap fan, but I LOVED this reverse age gap romance. South and Ingrids relationship pulled on all my heart strings without being cringy like other age gaps romances I have read.

Like the rest of the books in the series, I loved how the characters interwine with one another. The drama and challenges the club face have kept me intrigued throughout the series. And the hilarous banter, too.

And the ending of the series certainly delivered!!! I was sad for the series to end, but it was wrapped up beautifully... I didn't feel like I was left hanging or missing out on anything with the NOLA series and... it got me excited for the LA series coming!!

Who is Ingrid? Why do we start out following her? Who are Reaper and South? Where is South from? Where is he going? What is going on with Ingrid that she keeps secrets away from her family? When Ingrid looks for Novah, what was learned made me realize how much drama this book would likely hold. I was not wrong! Wow, learning about Jesse's family was a sobering moment for me. Oh, hades, when the Baroness shows up, what demands she brings are NOT suitable. They never are, but this is worse than anything we've seen before. I am sad that NOLA's stories are done, but I cannot wait to see what happens with LA Defiance. Oh...my...god, you must read and see the all-out war that happens and why. I cheered so loudly at the things that happened because of it. Enjoy the read!

My heart ❤️

Such a bitter sweet end to a fantastic series. I'm so sad this is the last book in this series yet at the same time I'm so happy that Defiance will continue with the next chapter in LA .

Seven wonderful books and amazing characters that I've grown emotionally attached to .

K.E Osborn is an amazing writer bringing a wealth of knowledge and love to every character she creates .

I always look forward to her new releases because I know I'll be lost in a world of romance and drama and alpha hot men and their awesome women who make them weak at the knees .

I look forward to the next time she sweeps this reader off into the sunset with brilliant storylines, that bring all the feels and characters that make you feel like they could be family and an overall sense of adventure.

sad to see it end

This book has my heart bumping.

There was a few chapters that I got very nervous.
This book took twist and turns I wasn’t expected. Kept me guessing for sure.

South and Ingrid definitely had a battle on their hands but South would not give up on his love for her. He wouldn’t let anyone get in his way…not even Ingrid herself.

The book wasn’t very steamy but the steam that we did get was very nice.

The book ending in a HEA and as much as I’m sadden to see this series end I am very excited to see the women you will bring the LA Defiance men to their knees.

Age is just a number

South was the perfect cross-over to come over to help NOLA Defiance in their new war against the Baroness. I love how loyal South is and how his connection with Ingrid never left in all the years since she stood up for him as an out of control teen. She is his calming voice of reason. He's her fiercest protector. We are in for one wild ride with this couple that is going to flip this club up on its end and help put this family back together again! I can't wait!

"I'm saying they're not flaws at all. They're simply a part of your story."

This is an amazing line in an amazing story that is a fitting end to the NOLA Defiance MC. I absolutely love the trope in this story, and Osborn portrayed it extremely well. This trope has the potential to be tacky, but as usual Osborn brought the class. Grab your tissues and hold on for the ride. I could have never predicted what she did with this one. Just remember, Defiance is family.

Book seven in the The NOLA Defiance MC Series. What happens when you fall for your new president step mom. You fight like crazy to defend your love for her. When he was a boy she changed him with emotional word. She made the man he is today. If this life you find your love. Some are lucky to fine it twice. Love love this one. I really love this author, I have read most of her books. This complicated story was so good. The obstacles these two had to go through just made this book so much better. For me the chemistry was good but the story was the winner for me.
