My past got us captured. Her past could get us killed. And the clock is ticking.

That was then…

Abandoning my family and rejecting my duty was a calculated risk. I longed for freedom from the oppressive chains of the cartel and the suffocating walls of my family estate.

After my escape, I made a new home in Aruba, keeping to myself and staying under the radar. That is, until I met Libby.

She was lonely. And broken. Our souls were the same. And from the moment her brilliant blue eyes connected with mine; I knew I would do anything to have her. Even when saving her meant losing the freedom I had fought so desperately to achieve.

…this is now.

Forgiveness is not given freely, and I’m lucky to still be alive.

My family doesn’t want to trust me… the son who ran away. But they don’t have a choice. As my parents attempt to stop the rapid fraying of their empire, my brother’s dangerous behavior seems focused on trying to destroy it – or me.

But I’m not the only one who’s in trouble.

My family wants Libby for something, and I need to learn their secret before it’s too late. Yet as I’m dragged deeper into my old way of life, the lines of loyalty start to blur.

Deception is everywhere. Truth is obscured. And monsters are not always what they seem.

To keep her safe, I will defy the rules. I will defy my family. I will defy anything that stands in my way.

I am back with Dom & Libby. This is the second book from the Nothing Last Forever series. So, let me share with you my review.

The storyline is a bit slower this time. But! I am so happy that this is a whole Dom’s POV 😬 I mean, how else it can be sexier?😝 But unfortunately, the second book is not as thriller as the first one. It has that thrill part but only almost at the end of the book 🥹 But I love the plot twist about Adriana & Danielle. God! I didn't expect that. I know there must be something interesting about Libby. But not that 🤯 I feel sorry for Libby because she has to bear with the whole drama between Dom & his family.

Nothing much I can describe about this book #2. I am hoping to see a lot more in book #3. With that said, I am happy to rate this book 3.8/5 ❤️

This book was written from Dominic's POV. As much as I love him, I was definitely missing Libby's POV in this book, but I understand the choice because Libby was basically locked up the whole time so there wasn't really much of a story from her in this book.
This book changed my perspective on Libby and Dom. I was irritated by his actions (especially with Camila), but Libby's reactions were frustrating to me. I just wanted to shake her and say, "He's trying to protect you!!!!!!"
The twists in this book had me shook. I again love how Jillian creates such strong women in her writing.
I finished this book and immediately picked up book 3.
