I saved a virgin human from being abducted. I am a killer, a criminal, and a prison escapee. She is the sweetest, most innocent thing I’ve ever had the pleasure of claiming. Emily Hallow is mine.
But my enemies are not going to accept their losses. They’re going to come for me. They’re going to try to send me back to the dungeon I escaped, and take Emily to sell - or worse. She and her entire village are at risk of imminent alien abduction. I am the monster standing between them and a lifetime of brutal, cruel captivity.
I will do anything to protect my sweet human pet. Anything.
Collared is a standalone alien romance in the Human Pet Shop series. Mature readers only, please.
Amazon Top 100, USA Today bestselling, and #1 bestselling author in multiple Amazon categories, Loki Renard writes sizzling hot, occasionally dark and twisted stories of dominance, submission and discipline.
I enjoyed the first one more but this one was still fun. So many hilarious moments. I hope we get to see rex again. My main complaints: Spicy scenes do not belong in nasty gross pond water. How am I meant to enjoy this? The spanking didn’t really feel as natural here. It fit with the first book because Jen is a brat but Emily is sweet and she never really does anything deserving of punishment. Her actions are logical and I felt bad for her. I would have like to see a different dynamic used here that fit her quiet maturity
So much FUN. So many humorous situations are woven into the story.
Emily is a witch from a long line of witches. She’s lived in a cult-like small town and her and her fellow humans are abducted by aliens who want to exploit and traffic them.
Zain is a big green alien who helps her, protects her and wants her for his pet. He loves how she is “generously made”. He has recently gotten out of prison and hasn’t had a mate in a very long time. She’s a virgin who never understood what all the fuss was about. She falls for him and he loves her just like real humans love their pets. Could this be a parable? 😃
The tone of the narrative is an ironic “what could possibly go wrong?” vibe and it made me laugh out loud.
“It was always so…hot when he talked to me like I was a little animal. It shouldn’t have been, probably.”
Emily comes into her powers to protect her village and herself from the aliens and they are like stereotypical old lady/grandma things made strong:
“…a force emanates around me. It is warm and it smells like roast chicken and fresh garden herbs. There is a near silent sound of a needle moving through embroidery and a quiet tutting from wrinkled old lips.”
Some classic jokes are here: Villain has to explain to the human commander how to use their technology Evil stepdad teasing you about having your mom Pet people vs non-pet people
As the second of this series, it's absolutely awesome again 😃. A village of humans gets sucked up in a tractor beam, but one sees an opportunity for escape, running through the alien craft, she comes across another alien who proceeds to kill all the others, then mates her 😲. Yep, it's another amazing story by my FAVORITE author Loki 😄. Thanks again Loki, I can't wait to read more 🤓.
Not sure how I feel about this overall. Book one dealt with a feisty human who fought for what she wanted. This one… honestly have insta Stockholm vibes more than anything else. Submissive, docile, despite the supernatural twist in the end. Honestly more excited for the wild child introduced in the end… the main characters of book three. Has the potential to be explosive.
The storyline was interesting and unique, kept me reading and not wanting to put it down. It was just the right length, no unnecessary fillers. The characters for the most part were likable except one. Wonder how mom will react to the news; hope it is covered in the next book. Book was filled with action, drama, and hot romance.
I personally eye roll at "humans will come out on top of whatever food chain they encounter" stories, but that is a personally literary preference,so i didn't take away stars for something that is a pet peeve, not an actual flaw in writing. Didn't really enjoy that part so much, but if you do,then this is the read for you.
The subtitle says it all - a psycho / sunshine alien pet romance. Emily is sweet and devoted and Zain is a bad boy who loves her intensely. Another entertaining story about the Voros brothers - bring on the third😁
I didn’t care for parts of the first book and then decided to give this a chance unfortunately. It’s childish with lots of holes in the plot. Disappointing. The author could also have thrown în hockey playing cowboy billionaire shifters. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I do love Ms. Renard's quirkiness and her viewpoints on various aspects of life (even if I don't always agree with them). This one might be my favorite. A simple story about small town life, thwarted by alien abductions.
Emily finds herself and her entire village being taken up into a spaceship. She runs away right into Zain's arms and other body parts. He rescues them and takes them back home. But more has to happen. Very nice story.
Really enjoyed this book. Emily and Zain were quite a couple from the very beginning to the last page of this book. This book was really entertaining. I can't say much because I'll spoil the plot.
This was a fun book but could have used a little more heat. My biggest issue is why make a heroine with a lot of curves the put a below average size chick on the cover. Most readers are SO tired of blatant misrepresentation.
4 ⭐️ A short alien/captive story. Emily and Zain exploded on the page from their first meeting. She was feisty in her own way, and I liked how instantly protective Zain was of her. They had their differences and problems but I feel like they got to a good place in the end.
Loki Renard is one of my favorite alien writers! She always brings in great characters and action in a variety of worlds, and the spice is out of this world!
This heroine is a CHANGE for the author and I'm here for it. I enjoy this series, I wish the books were longer and a bit more involved but they are fun.
