Wealthy, widowed Mrs. Barchester just loves mysteries, so when a dead body is found on her estate--the dead body of a man her husband had feuded with--she's sure she's the leading suspect. She hires a detective because she's been convinced by her books that the police will try to frame her. Meanwhile, her nephew Jerry Brogan, a race track announcer, tries to save his aunt from herself, and also look into the race track background of the victim, a jockey with many enemies.
