Everything you wanted to know about The Big Lebowski but lost your train of thought there. Over 80 contributors have really helped tie this book together.

Among the world’s Greatest Works of Literature The Big Lebowski slouches alone, in that it is the only one which is not a book or a play. Which is of course, just, like, our opinion.

This book about The Greatest Movie In The History of Mankind, man, helps to explain its impact. There are also illustrations. Well, we hope you folks enjoy yourselves.

Lebowski 101: Limber-Minded Investigations Into The Greatest Story Ever Blathered tries to bring new shit to light but ends up crashing the goddamn plane into the side of the mountain (to use a parlance of our time). This collection of articles and what have you isn’t very discriminating, and is all over the place. Also, many of the authors take the opportunity to vent their anti-American and anti-capitalist views, and straight white male hate; which is very un-Dude. Still, some of the essays are alright and there’s a lot of insider humor. And the fan art is pretty interesting and creative; using a variety of styles and techniques. Far from tying the room together, Lebowski 101: Limber-Minded Investigations Into The Greatest Story Ever Blathered is a world of pain that distorts this extraordinary film to fit a bunch of inane theories.

There's really no consistency to the quality of the articles. While a handful of them are quite compelling, most of them just aren't very good.

Abide.

Great over analysis of an overt stoner film with covert (and sometimes not so covert) social commentary. To me The Big Lebowski has the greatest dialogue of any film I've ever seen. The Dude has taught me the way, the wu wei to be exact. I've never looked back. Tank abides, man:)
