Talmid: Blood

Rate this book
Two years have passed since Yuannan accepted Yeshua’s invitation to become his disciple—his talmid. Disowned by his father, divorced from his bride, disgraced in his community, Yuannan has paid a great price to follow this revolutionary king on his campaign to conquer the hearts and souls of the people of Israel. The journey has often been painful, but Yuannan does not regret his decision. Yeshua has shown himself to be worth any price. Now, however, as they travel to Jerusalem for the Passover, Yeshua asks one more thing of Yuannan—something that may prove to be more than Yuannan is able to give. The TALMID trilogy (Water, Bread, Blood) is part of the Immanu'El series, stories told from the perspective of those who walked the dirt roads of Galilee with Jesus two thousand years ago.

Great Characters. Ties the stories from the Gospels together well

This is a great narrative, developing characters that I feel I know and I care about. The characters are familiar from the New Testament, but using fictional characterizations to make them really stand out to me. I enjoy how human they are in this narrative. Ties the New Testament accounts together in a great story. The Crucifixion is a very vivid account drawing on Biblical and historical accounts to make a compelling story. I highly recommend this series.
