With a practical tip for every day of the year, this easy-to-use compilation of feng shui wisdom will help you get through the year successfully, both at work and at home.
Lillian Too is the world's bestselling feng shui author, selling millions of copies of her books worldwide. She is in constant demand as a consultant and lecturer; she possesses a Harvard MBA, and in her corporate days she was the first woman in Asia to head a bank. She was also the Chairman of a chain of department stores and boutique in Hong Kong until she retired to be a full-time writer. Presently, she runs her own publishing and investment companies.
This book is fun to read randomly. However if you don't want to miss any points, it is like a laborious textbook.
I would say this is not for a beginner, because the author made some references without actually providing an appendix or explaining them in layman's terms. Many a time, she talked about directions and I am left wondering if it is the fixed "Luopan" or the compass with the swivelling arrow, because she seemed to allude to the latter.
"Flying Star" is also another new school of thought altogether, so if unfamiliar with it, the tip would be a great hassle to follow.
There were doubles and repeats in various pages. However, this is supposed to be read in a year so maybe there was supposed to be some buildup effect?
Overall, I think it's very useful for the curious and those that want to bridge their knowledge gaps because she provides new information here and there. BUT it's not presented in a way that allows for easy digestion. Best to read it in small doses over a longer period of time.
