Star-crossed former lovers, Burke Wolfhampton and Sitka Sabanthia, lead the sexually-charged group in an effort to build a new life on a hostile world that will defy their understanding of biology, family, sex and gender.
Originally hailing from Mississippi, Keegan Kennedy is a writer based out of Memphis, TN. As a child, sometimes his active imagination was the only friend that he had. Following a degree in History from the University of Southern Mississippi, Keegan floated around the corporate while dreaming of telling stories. His first novellas were in the arena of male-for-male erotica and romance. His earlier efforts were soon followed by success when his novel, Homecoming, went to Number One in on the LGBT charts in four countries: Germany, Canada, the United Kingdom, and the United States. He has a knack for uncovering love and romance in the darkest of places. With a tendency toward the melodramatic, he does more than arouse or excite the reader - he engages them.
His current release is the epic novel: The Harbinger – a chilling, apocalyptic tale of survival that decimated stereotypes and shocked his fans. Upcoming works include – a TBA romance between two anti-heroes. And by popular demand, he is re-mastering his older novellas into his new anthology series, the cheekily-named: Smooth Jocks and Gruff Jocks.
"I want to sincerely thank all of my readers! Because of you, I have spoken to and made new friends from across the globe on every continent with the exception of Antarctica - to my knowledge. Your kind words and encouragement have meant the world to me. I answer all emails, so feel free to contact me."
I got this book off Amazon and it said it was by Bryan Patrick Wolfe. I am not a fan of D/S books at all. So the wonderful Sci-Fi aspects were ruined, by the overbearing D and whimpering S. When I went to add this book to my books here, I could not find it under Wolfe. When I found it and saw who the author was it all made sense. I have read or tried to read a few Keegan K books and again I do not like the DS. I never would have picked this book if I knew who wrote it.
I really wanted to like this book. It's tried and true premise was good and its gay slant promised engaging reading. The story had a solid beginning that made me eager to read it. However, the author failed miserably in his writing, rapidly going downhill from a good start through a mangled middle to an uninspired and tepid finish.
First, this book needed a competent editor. Grammatical errors, as well as inconsistent and contradictory situations abounded. Then there is the author's fixation on hair color, physical descriptions of the characters and trite dialogue which quickly grew annoying. His scientific ignorance is deep, detracting from the story's credibility.
The result is a novel that lurches and limps to its conclusion. The author has left the door open to a sequel. He should completely rewrite this book and get a good editor before penning a follow-up. To sum up, I will quote Dorothy Parker: "This is not a novel to be tossed aside lightly. It should be thrown with great force."
This is an imaginative sci fi story. Well rounded, good world building. A starship of "Terrans", on a mission in known star space gets violently sucked through a wormhole. Their escape pod crash lands on a liveable, but dangerous planet the group struggles to find resources and safety. Finding their crashed, smashed star ship vessel is bittersweet when a single violent attack by a crazed alien ends up turning their reality skidding into unknown pathways. New normals, new customs, a friendly alien, altered dna, newfound abilities, and mpreg all lead to a satisfying epilogue. While the ending did leave open sequel possibilities, this was written several years ago, so I'm assuming it is solidly in the stand alone novel catagory. Too bad, its a fun story, with a cast of likeable and interesting characters. 3 stars for me due to the strange D/s elements of the story. Especially the submissive partners who were annoying, spineless and not as likeable. Imo the story would have been better with out the weird D/s bits.
This book is about a intergalactic ship that travels through a wormhole during a routine trip to a colony
This was a great read at first I didn't know what to expect but I should have known that this book was gonna be good . I have read this authors Harbinger series and they are quite good but back to this book . Our story starts off with and intergalactic ship inadvertently going through a wormhole their engines are fried they have no way of stopping the ship from crash landing on a unknown planet in a unknown galaxy . As the survivors escape the doomed ship they crash land on the planet low on supplies with only a few weapons to protect themselves they find themselves on a beautiful but dangerous world where everything but water and a root vegetable is toxic to them . They must navigate this new world where everything can kill them as they struggle to survive their numbers a dwindling they must find a way to survive .
I loved reading the book and couldn't put it down cause I wanted to see where it would go. Unfortunately I would have loved it if it was longer, or if there was a second book to it that talks about their continuation from where this book ends. And while there were some steamy scenes in there, they could have stood to be a little longer or more erotic when they were thrown in. At a few points it would sorta touch on a couple going at it and then say "they did it 5 more times that night". Like that's no cool to just drop the hot & steamy mid steam.
If you are looking for a futuristic story that combines aliens and struggle this is the story for you. Between crash landing on an uncharted planet with a hostile environment, ànd extremely aggressive animals the original 13 crew members are dropping quickly. As the remaining crew struggle to survive and pair up they must adapt.
I was instantly hooked with a creative character list and believable trials this story kept me on the edge of my seat. The extremely hot scenes between main characters really kept the pages turning.
This was okay read. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great. Something about it was a little too convenient and neat for me. Despite the situation and the circumstance it just wasn't intriguing and predictable. The bit of paranormal thrown in was weird and not really necessary. One of the main characters was a brat. He was very unlikable and did not get better. The writing was okay. Again nothing about the story or the writing prompted intrigues me to do any further exploration of the author so.....
Excellent start to a series (hopefully). This was one of the best books I've read in quite a while. Carried on you could compete with Michael Anderle (Death Becomes Her) I'm hoping you do continue this as a series, as it would make an excellent one, you could tie up all the loose ends as well.
I enjoyed your book immensely. I do wish that we found out the rest of the glaring special attributes. Plus if Drexia ever got pregnant. I love long books that give such good world building.
This is a gripping story of almost unbelievable happenings that you are going to be challenged in your reading and understanding of sexual orientation of what this sci fi of what happens to stranded space travelers. You should read this.
The premise was solid, the characters believable, the story held my attention. But every time a sex scene came up, the story dove from a nice sci-fi platform to a cheap trashy dime store novel.
The start of this book is Slow. So slow. But stick with it and you will be so deeply rewarded. It is original and unexpected. So worth the read. Enjoy!
I've tried to get through this book several times, but finally have to give it up as a lost cause. After a promising start, the stilted dialogue, haphazard narrative, and annoying characters just finally did me in. This one's just not for me, unfortunately.
This was a great read for anyone who likes a great plot, with there spicy sex. It a great suspense story with some mystery, romance, and a fight for survival. I really liked this book.
I read this book years and years ago, and while I've never really been into BDSM dynamics or even really power dynamics the love in these pages was very healing as a young gay man. A true pioneer in so many ways Keegan is a truly gifted storyteller.
This book was great.. I have read a few things by this author and I was pleasantly surprised by this sci-fi novel... It was wonderful story telling .... I want a sequel!!!! I would really like to know how they develop after more survivors turn up!!! And see what they have made if their new world ... Great job Keegan!!
As a prolific author, Keegan Kennedy has demonstrated his wide and varied talent by producing a wonderful book Ganymede 4. Frought with danger, intrigued by a hostile world and meshing of lives he has produced a great book. I hope there will be many more books in this series, and I anxiously await them.
