Through six previous editions, Introductory Statistics has made statistics both interesting and accessible to a wide and varied audience. The realistic content of its examples and exercises, the clarity and brevity of its presentation, and the soundness of its pedagogical approach have received the highest remarks from both students and instructors. Now this bestseller is available in a new 7th edition.
I had studied the entirety of this textbook over the course of two university semesters. The textbook serves as a simple introduction, and delves unhurriedly and systemically into more advanced theories. A student will find an abundance of exercises to work through, and an adequate number of solved examples for almost each concept you come across in the chapters. As a bonus, I have absolutely enjoyed the case studies and articles included.
Since I didn't have the statistical background I found this book easy enough to understand some of the keep concepts like conditional probability, probability distribution, hypothesis testing etc. Good book if you don't have any statistical background.
I have no statistical background (and a math learning disability) but this course was required for my psychology degree. I'm happy to say I exceeded my own expectations. This book made it easy to understand the concepts and formulas.

Used this text with an online stats course. I've done pretty good in the class. So the book definitely does a good job at explaining things. I needed to you tube a couple things, so not giving it 5 stars
