Popular Bible teacher and host of the Gospel Truth broadcast, Andrew Wommack takes on one of the biggest controversies of the church, the freedom of God's grace verses the faith of the believer. Wommack reveals that God's power is not released from only grace or only faith. God's blessings come through a balance of both grace and faith.
Addressing many of the misconceptions believers are taught in the Church today, this book opens up the Scriptures revealing the vital connection between grace and faith. Many believers think they walk in both grace and faith when actually they are misusing one or both of these principles. Wommack addresses:
* Some believers willingly sin believing Godís grace will cover them, while the blessing of grace is not to sin, but to release guilt and condemnation when they make a mistake. * Other believers think they must "work" their faith by ritualistic prayer, confession, or Bible study. Although all these things are good, Jesus Christ set believers free from works of the law. God wants a relationship where He can communicate directly to each believer. * Grace and faith work together. When believers receive the unmerited favor or grace of God, they can release their faith without doubt or reservation and receive God's blessings.
Andrew Wommack in his logical, practical style brings believers back on track in their Christian walk through living in the balance of grace and faith.
Andrew began his ministry in 1972 and is the President and Founder of Andrew Wommack Ministries and Charis Bible College located in Colorado Springs. For four decades Andrew has been teaching the Word of God. His revelation is taught with clarity and simplicity, emphasizing God’s unconditional love and grace. His daily Gospel Truth radio and television programs are broadcast domestically and internationally.
He founded Charis Bible College in 1994 and has established 70+ extension colleges in major cities of America and around the world. Andrew has produced a library of teaching materials in print, audio, and visual formats.
Andrew biblically expounds the proper balance between grace and faith. Go too far in either direction (i.e., overemphasize one to the exclusion of the other) and you'll end up in a spiritual ditch.
This is a great starting book into this Christian topic. The writing could be a bit better but the importance reside in the message itself not the words used.
I don’t share everything written in this book but I would still rate it as 5 stars as I agree with the main points.
Great book and I’m planning to continue reading more books from Andrew Wommack.
Great explanation of how to live the Christian life, answering the question of what does God do and what do I do? If you’re unsatisfied with your Christian life, this book has the answer. Curious about what the Christian life is about? Read this book.
Some important truths to understand but he is very repetitive. I felt like the book could have been cut in half and still had all of the important information.
Pastor Andrew Wommack, thank you for your insightful teachings and revelations. Your words have given me a renewed perspective, and for that, I give you five big shining stars.
I have read a lot of books written by different religious leaders, pastors
ministers from all walks of life. But none helped me more then this book Living in the Balance of Grace and Faith by Andrew Wommack. It was easy to read and easy to understand. I searched the scriptures as I read to make sure it lined up with the word. I now know that without that balance of Grace (God's part ) and Faith (out part) your life tilts too far to the left or too far to the right. I plan to recommend this book to all my church brothers and sisters. Love this book.
Great message but poor book, i think. plus, i started reading this after hearing some of his free mp3 messages found on his site right heremy link text
apparently, this book is just a transcription of the audio. but the audio is far better, in my opinion.
like i said, the message is wonderful, and it's worth your time if you want to get the free audio, but the writing of the book is poor.
Great biblical truths. I love the teachings of Andrew Wommack. I have learned so much since watching his daily broadcasts and reading his books, things I never learned in church. I am encouraged to read the bible more and be led by the Holy Spirit. I can't believe I've missed out on this truth for so many years. There is a balance of grace and faith from God that every believer should know about and Andrew has done an excellent job of presenting this in his book.
Fantastic teaching by Andrew. The Christian life takes both grace (what God does) and faith (what we do), just as our salvation did. Faith is how receive all that God has for us. Andrew also touches on some other favorite teachings such as "Spirit, Soul and Body" and others that i've hear on his TV show. Highly recommend this book.
