Very helpful! Though I would say that there is a little bit of dramatization, but then again, I don't know that much about what's needed for Parakeets. This book was helpful in my learning process. I know a lot more now than I did before.

Short, concise, easy-to-read book that's very information-dense - you learn a lot from reading very little. This book covers everything from where budgies originated, to how to ensure they live a long life (did you know they can actually live up to 15 years?!) in captivity with you, to how to identify and treat various ailments. I finally understood why I was never successful with budgies - hopefully having read this book now, I will be able to be a better carer in the future when (and if) I again have the time to devote to a pet.

I've never kept a parakeet/budgie, so I don't know how accurate the information is in this book. Considering the publication date, I'm going to go out on a limb and assume that the information is out of date. As a book, this is a tedious read that makes one long to read a dissertation on Proust as a livelier alternative. The illustrations are, to put it honestly, crap. They basically consist of the same drawing of a 'keet with different colors. Very sloppily put together book.

Very helpful! This helped me learn about my pet parakeets and know what stuff is good to use by them and the dangerous things like non stick cooking pans. Now my parakeets happy and healthy.
