Well-illustrated, with clear explanations. Does a nice job of moving a beginner from easiest designs to adding additional new techniques. Contains several new patterns.
I am taking an in-person class, but this book does a nice job of reinforcing the learning.
This book is one of the most helpful I’ve read for people interested in starting in stained glass. The first half of the book is dedicated to equipment, how to use the equipment, and practice exercises that build skill in glass cutting. The projects included vary from beginner to advanced. There are not a wide variety of patterns included, but if you need the basics, this is a book I would recommend.
Not as artistic or inspiring as other two books I've read on on HOW TO, but the most basic. Found chapter on types of glass & uses very helpful. Very basic, very directive, specific projects with pattern (none very artful, predictable & standard fare); however, filled in gaps on basic info including tools and modern workshop techniques.
