THE FAMILY CRACKHEAD

Rate this book
SHE USED TO BE THE WORLD'S GREATEST DAUGHTER, BUT COCAINE IS A HELL OF A DRUG.......

Dear America,

I just want to wake up in the morning without itching and scratching for a hit, feeling like I'll get sick if I don't feed my high. I'm tired of lying naked and afraid while strange men pump away inside of me, and sweat down on my trembling frame. Tired of looking up and seeing the devil in their eyes, as I dream of a life that doesn't resemble hell. I'm tired of being a sperm receptacle. Tired of being abused by demons for addictions I can't shake. Crack has become my everything. My food, clothing, and shelter from the storm. My entertainment, leisure, and everlasting pleasure. My reason for living and escape from reality. I just want the friends back who believed in me. I just want to hug the sister that pushed me and told me I could be anything. I just want the mother that nurtured and fought for me to be exceptional to look at me with respect and admiration. I just want to be free. I just want to be happy. I just want to be human again and do what people do. I just want what any daughter in the world wants in the end.......I just want my daddy.

Sincerely,

Reign Emerson

“You know you still could change careers, like get a trade or something. Be more respectable. Like your sister. She’s got a boyfriend. A dignified one. You could be like that.”

All Reign wanted was her father’s love, and all he did was constantly compare her to her sister!

It was unbelievable how Handz introduced her to cocaine but redeemed himself in the end by helping Reign get clean. This story was a real eye-opener!!

“With a child, it’s unconditional love! If you only gon love me when I’m pretending to be someone else, then fuck you!”

redemption

This book touched me because I’m a recovering addict. It touches on the highs and lows of life. The struggle of drugs and getting clean and having to make mends with everyone you crossed at the lowest point of your life. I saw me in reign! I saw the lowest of the low. And I’ve seen the ins and out of getting clean. Everyone needs to read this books so they can get a better outlook on ppl who struggles with addiction. And to the ones who’s struggling with some kind of addiction because it’s not always drugs, read this! There someone that’s there willing to help! Hands down a 5 star read!!

This book is the first read in " The Family Crackhead " series and revolves around the story of the protagonist named Reign Emerson. She’d always had a complex about her color, feeling she wasn’t as pretty as the white or fair skinned girls. She was beautiful with low self esteem. Reign Emerson never imagined herself in such a dark, musty room where she was lying naked, with a horny teenager pumping away on top of her like his life depended on it. There was a line of boys who were waiting to get their shot with the ebony queen and enjoy her vagina. Her father Ronald's face was red with anger and rage while he was trying to find his daughter whom he had deliberately told not to go to this party. Seeing his baby girl trembling in fear, his’s rage turned to tears and he couldn't stop himself from crying. Ronald was the most important and powerful motivational speaker in the country. This incident was a shame for him as well his daughter, he was supposed to raise her like a queen but things didn't turn out to be what exactly they thought. And she had no idea if the footage was leaked online what would happen to her life and career. It might get ruined forever. Tamia was her sister who was just one year younger to her. She was perfect in all aspects, say it beauty or brain. As Tamia’s popularity grew, she began to resent it, and started to rebel. Since her sister was focusing on her mind, Reign decided to focus on her beauty. Ronald would try to keep his child under lock and key, but the more he did that, the more she wanted to break free of his reigns. Slowly everything in her life changed, it resembled something you can call hell. The author's attention to detail is evident throughout the book, allowing readers to vividly imagine the settings and immense themselves in the time and place of the story. The protagonist wanted to sort out every relation in her life and turn out to be the best. She wanted to be the daughter her father wanted her to be & the person whom people would admire. She wanted all the happiness back in her life. All she dreamt of was to be free from everything and be a human being and do whatever she's capable of. She had been trapped in the negativity around and it isn't so easy to come out of it. Will Reign be able to overcome the difficult situations ?? Author beautifully showchased each emotions in the book in a very precise manner. This amazing tale demands the reader's full attention due to its rich tapestry of characters and incidents. Highly recommended to the ones who are looking for some thrilling series to read. Overall, can't wait to read the other books in the series.

Addiction is Real

Addiction to drugs and fame is not for the faint at heart. Chasing the highs of drugs, clout, popularity, and being on top - were not worth the damage these people brought upon themselves. The things that these characters went through to get high once they were addicted were frightening and cringe worthy. No one should choose to use drugs as a means of escape when life gets too hard; the after effect could be truly detrimental. Good book.

Great Book

This is a great read about trials and tribulations. This book is an example of how anyone life can turn out both good and bad if they surround themselves with the right and wrong people. Reign learned tons of lessons and her biggest one became her truth. She was more than a conqueror but she had to believe that. Great job authors and authoress.

The writing style of things happening in the past tense then present tense has already threw me off. Stopped reading when I read the second random shot at Cardi… the most famous stripper in the world? The author weird asf for that has to be a GARB.. I’m good love enjoy

Wow!

This book was so real... I have a son that's addicted to drugs. Grew up in the hood so I know. I always tell people watch what you say or laugh at. The tongue is a powerful tool. It your kids are still growing, it could be your grandkids, nephews etc. All addicts don't come from bad family's. But at that split moment they make the worst decision of there life time.

So it was hard at first because I can't stand when folks repeatedly choose bad, ESPECIALLY when they have everything and have been hella fortune, so I had to keep pushing through. I'm glad I did. It was an interesting read. Hopefully, it will save/help someone in 1 way or another.

Wish I could give it 2 1/2 stars

While the concept of the story was plausible, the flow of the storyline did not help the writer give us with the umph the book needed to be at least a 3 star review.

Good read

It took a few days but I finished reading. I love how the author was very descriptive when it came to speaking on Reign’s drug use. I also like the incorporation of the rehab into the story.

GREAT READ

Great read. A different type of storyline. Looking for validation in all the wrong places. Once growth & maturity sets in everyone learns their purpose.
